This comes to us from an interview that McCain conducted with the New Republic:
IC: Does it bother you when people say choosing Sarah Palin is your legacy?
JM: No, because I think historians will decide that facts are stubborn things. We were four points down when I chose her and three points up afterwards. She held her own and, some people said, won a debate with the vice president. She did everything I ever wanted. She excited our base in a way I was unable to achieve. And then I watched the shredding and destruction to destroy a good and decent person by the liberal media, beginning with Katie Couric. Not only do I not regret it, but I have probably not seen anyone in American life savaged like she was, particularly by the liberal left. (That is bullshit! I would bet my house that McCain wishes more than just about ANYTHING that he would have left the Tundra Twat in the wilds of Wasilla where she belonged.)
IC: Do you draw any connection between her outlook and the group of congressional Republicans, Tea Partiers, that you have had trouble with?
J
M: No, because I think she had a positive message. A message that we would have less government, lower taxes, less regulation. Many in this group didn’t come to power to get things done. They came to power to keep things from getting done.
IC: But she also accused Obama of “palling around with terrorists.” It wasn’t entirely positive.
JM: Well, if she attacked Obama and Biden, that is fairly standard. (Comparing them to terrorists is "standard?")
IC: “Palling around with terrorists”?
JM: With all due respect, you never heard about when John Lewis said my campaign was worse than the Birmingham church bombing?9 That may have escaped your attention.
IC: It did. I agree, that is bad.
JM: OK, well, that is what he did, when they orchestrated this “racism” effort against me. Maybe Sarah Palin said “palling around with terrorists,” but the things that were said about me and her were far worse. I’ll never forgive John Lewis.
IC: Did you ever talk to Lewis?
JM: No. I would be glad to show you the press release. But we selectively take something Palin said, and the vice president’s job is to attack, and how many people know about John Lewis? I can show you many other comments. For me to complain about it is a waste of time.
It should be noted that Congressman Lewis was responded to the racism that was bubbling up around Palin events and his exact quote was:
"As one who was a victim of violence and hate during the height of the Civil Rights Movement, I am deeply disturbed by the negative tone of the McCain-Palin campaign," Lewis said in a statement. "Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse."
"During another period, in the not too distant past, there was a governor of the state of Alabama named George Wallace who also became a presidential candidate. George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights. Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama."
Does not sound like he thought the campaign was "worse" than the Birmingham church bombings, he was simply pointing out that, with Palin's help, the campaign was fanning the flames of a similarly dangerous type of racism.
And you know looking around today I think it would be hard to find fault with that sentiment.
McCain may have provided cover for Palin but he was not so courteous to Fox News:
IC: But if you watch Fox, there are all these segments on immigrants and crime and so on, and people get riled up, and then they want reform. It’s a difficult dynamic in the party.
JM: I think that Fox News is a bit schizophrenic. I saw a guy on “Hannity,” maybe “Huckabee,” and the guy said, “You know, the Chinese are coming across our border, and they are going to commit cyber attacks.”
IC: They have to cross the border to do that?
JM: Honest to God! “They are going to commit cyber attacks.”
Well of course he is right about the insanity flowing from Fox News, but he had no such words of criticism while Fox was helping him and Palin wind up the rednecks, racists, and xenophobes in the hopes they would go to the polls on their behalf.
However after reading McCain's angry defense of the Wasilla Wendigo part of me has to believe that somewhere in a diary or notebook, that McCain has written over and over again "I hate that bitch!" And that after interviews like this he returns to those pages to make even more angry scrawls.
I know I would.
Fuck You John McCain. She was a fucking disaster of epic proportions and you know it. Fuck You Sarah Palin...Where is Tri-G's birth certificate?
ReplyDelete"and the vice president’s job is to attack" Whaaaaaa?
DeleteReally John?! Really?
Why didn't O'Biden attack the palin cunt then?
Further proof that McCain is an out-of-touch ignorant asshole and will always be exactly that.
DeleteYou fucking lost, John, because Palin raised more money for the DEMOCRATS than any candidate in US history just to make sure your ass - and hers - would not be in the White House.
Die you treasonous motherfucker.
DeleteAnd take Sarah Palin with you.
Must have been one hell of a blow job.
DeleteI think Johns most telling and truthful moment was his role on Saturday night live. Remember the blank plates, the gold Cindy brought ought, the Palin for President going rogue t-shirts... that was Johns most honest moment. He admitted, via SNL what a total loss their campaign was after Palin joined.
DeleteIt was McCain's to lose but he has these character flaws that make him pal around with bad people; call his wife, who financially supports him, a cunt, and start a fire on an air craft carrier because he couldn't be washed out of the flight program because of his daddy. Oh yes, his relationship with the Viet Cong at the Hanoi Hilton. My husband, a Viet Nam vet and pilot thinks that he is a verified rat. Poor John, he runs to trouble.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have mulled over this since he sometimes does the right thing, and it startles the shit out of us. Does he have a twin?
DeleteYour explanation is good.
Uh, Cranky McShame, there was no VP debate. The Tundra Turd blatantly REFUSED to follow the rules OR debate. Also, Cranky, Katy Couric savaged her? Are you REALLY going to go there?
ReplyDeleteROFLMFAO
I can't decide if he's that clueless or just stubborn.
ReplyDeleteor has brain mets...
DeleteHe's a liar.
DeleteSorry, Johnny boy. YOU chose the most unqualified VP candidate in our nation's history. That will be your legacy...unleashing that idiot on our country, and the world. You'll maybe notice NONE of our allies will give her the time of day.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that you think the current president was qualified?
DeleteIf THOSE are qualifications, I could easily win the presidency, as I have far more experience and accomplishments.
6:39 Well, if you are WHITE, why don't yopu go for it? Prepare to have yourelf, your family and anyone you EVER spoke to raked over the coals. Prepare to have your character savaged. Poltics today is a blood sport, the old timers do not want to lose their cushy, well compensated (by lobbyists) jobs. President Obama has been the victim of racist bile ever since he stepped on the scene. He is a courageous man, who has put everything on the line TWICE for this country. His family has been vilified, ridiculed, every move has been scrutinized by the BASTARDS on the other side. So, go for it, line up a group of rich people willing to back you and pull loits of filthy tricks, and run as a republican.
Delete6:39
DeleteWhy don't you list your experiences and accomplishments and let us decide if we want you to be our president.
That's how it works you stupid fuck.
Go back to C4P where you belong.
Okay, 6:39 - why dont you bend over and kiss my ass, you ignorant fuck.
DeleteDid you graduate from law school (or, more likely, home school)?
How many books have you published and how did they sell?
Where have you taught college?
Tell us about your character, for your comment does not suggest much to be proud of.
Best of luck with that campaign of yours,
Asshole.
So, 6:39, you graduated top of your class at Harvard Law, taught college, and acted as a senator? Really? Let's see proof of that.
DeleteOh Gawd the stupidity in his statements are just pitiful. He does know we were all there right?
ReplyDeleteThis is called senility.
DeleteBack in the day we called it hardening of the arteries. John has it all going on.
Little johnny has his medical and military records sealed. He must think his campaign records are sealed, also too!! We know it all, Johnny.
DeleteThats right John, you own the lunatic. Forever.
ReplyDeleteI love that he can never EVER say he made a mistake with Palin. He almost did after the election when he admitted she wasn't anywhere near being sane enough to become president (we all know she would have had him killed if he'd won.) What would it make him look like except an impotent old man who let his campaign get completely out of hand?
And his tell was blaming Katie Couric. Katie tossed the dingbat softballs and McCain knows it. I just love when republicans have to suck Palin's scabby toes because they are stuck with her or her flying monkeys attack them frontally.
I have a few secrets I'd hate to give up, too, but at least they have no impact on the whole effing country/world!
DeleteIt would have been cool, though, to see the Wasilla mafia try to kill McCain, and Sarah's 11 year old mentality mean girl self be founded out by all the high tech security. It could have been good theatre for sure! But, the general public would have been kept in the dark because she probably is even worse off than we think!!
DeleteIf McCain had won, Sarah would have been the one to suffer the "accident."
DeleteIs Sarah Palin polishing John McCain's knob?
ReplyDeleteDon't act shocked, you guys were thinking the same thing.
It looks like he had to paint. Yup, she is a teacher.
Deleteyep that is what i thought
Deletestupid old mc. was thinking with his dick..when he chose sarah..must of been worth it..he loves him some palin..
DeleteToad and his network are taking care of that.
DeleteHere's another "strange" pic with McCain and Piper from the same event as above.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/photo/reliablesouce/13690977.jpg
Uncle Fester has never made a mistake that he can remember. It's funny, McCain was pretty humble for a while after his career in politics almost ended (and should have) before it really got started when he was a player in the Keating 5 scandal. It was almost like he had found religion. But, aaah, people forget about that shit years later. If a civilian had been involved in covering up that scandal with that type of fraud and embezzlement of A Savings & Loan that cost the American Taxpayers over $3 Billion (yes billion, in 1980's dollars). But McCain doesn't talk about that anymore. Choosing Sarah Palin was on the same level as covering up fraud for Lincoln S&L, Charles Keating's enterprise. Both cost our country dearly. Once again, thank you for being an asshole without the balls to admit you screwed up. John McCain, you fucking idiot, Sarah Palin is your only legacy we will remember. And you're goddam senile already if you think history will look kindly on that decision. You own that. We will not allow the history revisionists put a smile on that one. Sarah Palin will remain the biggest asswipe ever almost elected to a national office.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct. You haven't even touched on the costs of his piss poor piloting skills, however. How much havoc did he wreak in a cockpit?
DeleteGoogle the Rolling Stone article by Mike Taiibi, it tells the entire sordid story of little Johnny. If he had paid attention to the alarm in the cockpit, like the others in his squadron did, he never would have been shot down. They did as they were trained, flew back to base. HERO McCain defied the warnings, and then used his time as a POW to line his bank accounts for EVER.
Delete12:39
Delete"During the course of his flying career with the U.S. Navy, John McCain was involved in at least five major mishaps or crashes involving his plane."
If his father was not an admiral, he never would have been allowed back in the cockpit after the first crash.
Sarah Palin is dangerously stupid, ignorant, unteachable, vicious, etc. Her selection as vice-presidential candidate alongside an old, sick man was treason.
ReplyDelete"...starting with Katie Couric..."
ReplyDeleteNo, No, Johnnie, you got the facts wrong. Sarah Palin's comfortable free with the press started with all the reporters and vetters did not ask Sarah Palin where she got Trig in April 2008, because Sarah Palin BOASTED of boarding a transcontinental jet after an amniotic fluid leak for a premature Down Syndrome fetus without a medical check when she was high-risk (over 40, 7th pregnancy, history of miscarriages).
And no one pointed out that FPP physician in Anchorage would never be a high risk OB. And MatSu would NEVER induce a high risk pregnancy.
DeleteThose of us in healthcare know. But no one listened to us. Shame on you ALL.
I just had a thought, maybe little Johnny got the idea of passing Trig off as hers!! It could explain a lot, why he will not admit she was a disaster. If anyone exposes the truth, it will take down more than the Palins.
DeleteHe's lying about John Lewis. He'll lie about anything.
ReplyDeleteHe's known as a high-stakes gambler in Las Vegas, and he bet the country with Sarah Palin.
Like in a den of thieves they will show the world how much they care and admire one another. He doesn't want his legacy to be his criminal endeavors. He compares that to Sarah and she looks like the better legacy. The man is a fake and a fraud of the worst kind.
ReplyDeleteGoogle Rolling Stone and the article about McCain, written by Mike Taiibi (sp?) It is really an eye opener. McCain has been a fraud his entire life. If not for his father and grandfather, he never would have been a pilot. O wonder what Palin has on him, to make him grovel this way? Did Taahhd fix him up wuith one of his "girls"?Does he even understand how stupid he looks, praising her, when EVERYONE knows what a dumbell she is?
Delete2:45
DeleteTht is a wonderful article bout loser McCAin.
Matt - turn your investigative skills onto Sarah, a fake belly, a Tri0G, a doctor and a hospital.
As far as I can see, this picture is a very sad one.
ReplyDeletePiper's posture is one of pleading with her mother. This young girl seems to be saying: "Please, can we have time together, can we have fun, can we go home?" or something like that. I had not seen this one before, and it really bothers me.
It is a great picture of how Sarah uses her kids as nothing more than props.
DeletePoor Piper - the fucking up she took is going to leave a biiig mark.
Di - it's much, much worse than that.
DeleteWith just the sparest amount of PS work to edit out the figure of the young girl, it appears as if you're left with the figure of a not-unattractive middle-aged woman bending to attend to the physical... um... needs of an elderly man smiling with apparent gratitude at receiving that attention.
I'm simply too genteel to suggest what the implications of photoshopping the elderly man's microphone might be.
(I didnt read all the comments so maybe someone else pointed this out)
oh John has been a very bad boy indeed. And, sister sarah was a repercussion for his arrogance. If he had won, who would have been his food taster? He probably did not stand a chance of living much longer after the election once the Palins were onboard. And, he thought he knew how to play hardball! He is a pussy compared to the Palins. Actually, Palin ranks right up there with the Russian mob for acts of cruelty and bitterness.
ReplyDeleteFuck you McCain. You can now add Christina and Trayvon to your campaign.
ReplyDeleteHis campaign cannot be rewritten. It was a very low point in this century.
ReplyDeleteSorry, Johnny, but in the end it all comes down to YOU and she WILL be your legacy no matter how much you try to paint it otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI swear, between his statements and the screech's meltdown on Greta, they just can't take it that they lost OVERWHELMINGLY to a black man and they will go down in history for it. Well, put it in your pipe and smoke it, @ssclowns, it's called VOTING and we didn't WANT you. Still don't. What a bunch of whining losers.
Steve Schmidt said himself, politically correct of course, that "Game Change" was pretty much spot on for what he went through. He has no reason to lie. He was just doing his job.
I don't think Schmidt told the whole story.
DeleteWhen anyone thinks of McCain they need to simultaneous think of the baby hoax. Can anyone believe he was not part of a cover up?
Schmidt is clueless?
I absolutely don't think McCain was part of the baby hoax cover-up. It was Schmidt's job to squelch the rumors AND to protect his boss from knowing something so potentially damaging.
DeleteSchmidt knows but I don't think he's ever seen any definitive proof. He may have even insisted Palin NOT give the campaign her medical records or other documentation.
4:30 PM responding. I have paid close attention to what he says and does not say, as well as his body language and laughter at things said when he is in a panel discussion. I majored in soc/psych in college and these people are textbook. He will NEVER bring up the baby hoax. Even Frank Bailey in his book stopped short and HE knew.
DeleteFar worse the incompetency.
DeleteHOW COULD THEY NOT KNOW? They may have said don't tell me what I know because of the position it would place them in.
The running mate you were to vet is part of the biggest hoax of the century thus far and both men could be clueless?
What are the odds?
Schmidt has plenty of reason to lie, and he does. He let a woman who fuckin faked a pregnancy - actually stuffed pillows in her panties!!!!! - run for VP. He knew it and he let it go because the potential payoff was bigger than the risk.
DeleteHe'll come clean someday. He owes that to all the people who go to or went to UD.
Schmidt's wife is a nurse, and he said she did not believe the Trig story. They know the truth, and I am sure McCain does, too. Why do you suppose they wiped clean all the computers of the Johnsons, and others of photos? I think payoffs were made, lots of them othewise why wouldn't someone blow the whistle on this fraud?Someone could make millions of $$$ with the true story. Soon, it will be too late to cash in, nobody will care.
DeleteHere's what John Lewis said (Sarah Palin continues "sowing the seeds of hatred and division" to this very day):
ReplyDeleteAs one who was a victim of violence and hate during the height of the Civil Rights Movement, I am deeply disturbed by the negative tone of the McCain-Palin campaign. Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse.
During another period, in the not too distant past, there was a governor of the state of Alabama named George Wallace who also became a presidential candidate. George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights. Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama.
As public figures with the power to influence and persuade, Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are playing with fire, and if they are not careful, that fire will consume us all. They are playing a very dangerous game that disregards the value of the political process and cheapens our entire democracy. We can do better. The American people deserve better.
Oh WOW...Baldy just called President Obama a "LIAR" on her Fecesbook! Stupid ass bitch must be having one of her fits because she's posting and tweeting all kinds of stupid ass shit! Look what the crazy bitch had her "consultant"....the big fat hungry RAM post for her....
ReplyDelete"Sarah Palin
LIAR ON ENERGY
President Obama’s claim that the Keystone pipeline would create “maybe 2,000 jobs” during its construction is such a blatant lie that even his friends at Politifact were forced to rate it false. The Alaska pipeline is a good example of the boom created by construction of a pipeline – a job boom that continues to this day with thousands of workers on the North Slope. During its construction and pre-construction phase, the Alyeska pipeline project employed some 70,000 workers from 1969 through 1977. During its peak, that pipeline provided 17% of the U.S. domestic supply of energy – that’s billions of barrels of oil. To deny the multiple benefits involved in building the Keystone pipeline – from job creation to securing a reliable source of energy from an environmentally responsible country like Canada – is just ludicrous. It’s more of what we’ve come to expect from the Obama administration and his lapdog spokesmen.
- Sarah Palin"
You should see the picture she posted...it's a picture of her ugly soulless ass when she was Governor....the shot is so far away you can hardly tell that the picture is only a few years old...instead we all know she now looks like an old humpback bitch with a BAD crack habit!
John McInsane did this interview because of the TAPE...amirite RAM or amirite? He hates this bitch with the power of Cindy's millions of dollars! His legacy will ALWAYS be....the one who unleashed the BANSHEE OF THE NORTH and her hungry, greedy fucked up Grifting family!
Hellauv legacy John...hellauv legacy! LOL!!!
None of the oil from the tar sands would come to America...just pass through. And pass through an aquifer that provides drinking water for millions of Americans. And if there is a spill, they don't know how to clean it up! The Alaska Pipeline was a different issue completely, but $arah would never be able to see the difference. Sigh.
DeleteShe sold Alaska's rights to the gas pipeline to Canada, as Governor. She gave them $500M for initial research.
DeleteStupid woman! Even TransCanada says that, at most, 2,500 jobs to build it, and less than 50 to maintain it.
DeleteYep, she gave half a billion bucks to TransCanada to "ponder" building a gas pipeline that will now NEVER be built. Also too, on the 2008 campaign trail she said during speeches that the pipeline was built/being built. She lied her ass off about the "Pipeline to Nowhere".
DeleteHmm wonder if any of that $500,000,000 she gave TransCan ever filtered back into her pocket?
Sarah is a succubus. And has gall to call ANYONE a liar. That bitch is going to burn in hell. Her exorcism from the witch doctor did nothing.
DeleteWhat a nasty soulless person she is.
And fuck you John McCain, sore loser and liar!!!!
For Pete's sake! The North Slope jobs are oil production jobs that can only be compared to Canadian jobs at the tar sands site, not to any pipeline that crossed the U.S..
DeleteAnd then this: "an environmentally responsible country like Canada"
Is she uninformed about the recent tar sands spills in Canada and pipeline leaks?
Is she clueless, stupid, or is she the one who's lying? Is she receiving any 'consulting' fees from TransCanada?
I'm drinking. ..
DeleteWhat tape?
Succubus. Precisely.
Deletewell, there have been a lot of jobs created for the tar sands spills in mayflower arkansas and other places where the pipeline that is being used now is so old it rips apart under high pressure and due to the corrosive nature of dilbit.
DeleteAnd, she is the one that said a pipeline was under construction in Alaska when on the campaign trail w/McCain AND he called her an energy expert! What a friggin' lie! The pipeline is still NOT under construction. She is Alaska's worst governor on record PLUS the 'quitter' governor.
DeleteDoes she know that the tar sands people do not pay into the energy castrostophic fund, so they have no culpability after a spill? Yes, our dear GOP COngress let them off the hook for an insurance policy against the inevitable spills...the taxpayers will not only see our air and water fouled with this sludge, but will be paying for cleanup. She might want to check with Kalamazoo...three years after a small spill, they STILL have crap in the river because no one knows what to do with it. Yeah, 'environmentally responsible' Canada is another Palin lie. Stop it. Just stop lying, Sarah.
Delete"And then I watched the shredding and destruction to destroy a good and decent person by the liberal media, beginning with Katie Couric."
ReplyDeleteBullshit. Pure, RWNJ revisionist bullshit. Couric lobbed softball questions and Palin couldn't answer them. Shame on you, McCain!
"And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this — to stay informed and to understand the world?"
That's not a hard question to answer. I'm sure "O'Biden" could have rattled off a list. Heck, I wasn't even running and I could have rattled off a list - The New Yorker, The Atlantic, NY Times, Rolling Stone, WSJ, Mother Jones, The New American, etc. And I get MOST of my news online. HuffPo, MediaIte, Daily Kos, MSNBC IM(!) :) etc. I even watch Fox and listen to RW talk radio from time to time to try to understand and appreciate their perspective.
She was too panicked 'cause all she gets is People, Reader's Digest, Teen Beat, The National Enquirer and John Birch Society newsletters. Not a curious brain cell in her head.
Katie Couric NEVER shredded Sarah Palin. She merely asked Palin a harmless question, was astounded when Palin refused to answer, so then repeated the question (paraphrased: "what do you read?"). It was America's REACTION to Palin's repeated refusals to answer the very simple question that shredded Palin. McCain and Palin are really angry at the American voters for refusing to choose them, but know that they can NEVER express their anger in that way (because it would permanently ruin their careers), so they have chosen to vent it all at Couric. Very simple: Psychology 101.
DeleteA true liberal media, hell, a true journalistic media, would have been all over Palin's record in Alaska (not the one on her resume) and her pretend birth. They never touched those issues, let alone the AIP involvement, which is the real reason I think they wanted her off Ayres. Her own terrorist friends make Ayres look like a pussycat. And McLame is still a liar.
DeleteSo McCain was already senile.....
ReplyDeleteJohnny Boy is pretty much admitting that he chose Sarah for her 'ability to excite the base' and that had everything to do with her trading on her sexuality, her come hither librarian/dominatrix persona that she had front and center during the election.
ReplyDeleteThere was no real thought as to the consequences of appealing to the base emotions of the 'base' of their political party. Johnny and his crew basically hired a political 'stripper'. She was all eye candy and promises, but never could or would deliver.
She was all about jacking up the bored voter base in the most base way imaginable, with every taunting, mocking, disrespecting, threatening, accusing, misleading possible way to gin of fear and hate.
She did her job all right, she relished it, she thrived on it, and she got roundly rejected for it by the American people.
She continues her political strip tease, only she's not dressed up and catered to with first class hair and makeup, she's VISIBLY years older and less vibrant and plumped with life, she's edgy and desperate, shrill and hard now, with the extensive plastic surgery having taken the toll on her softness that was once visible.
Johnny wanted to fuck her. At least in his dreams. THAT is the ONLY reason that he agreed to her, really. All the other reasons were just yammering between his election team. She got HIM excited, and he succumbed to her temporary, viperish charms, at the time.
Sociopaths survive on being able to manipulate and seduce. And we all know that Sarah is a text book sociopath with narcissistic personality disorder, mixed in with early childhood sexual abuse and religious zealotry...well it's quite a stew.
Sarah's very survival emotional survival depended on learning how to navigate those experiences and turn them into a tool or weapon to get what she wants. She could see Old Man McCain a thousand miles away. He was an easy mark. He was losing, he was depressed, he was scared, he was freaked, he was old and white and he was losing to a vibrant, young, smart, savvy black guy who, by McCain's standards, was just a punk kid with no real life experience (like he had).
Then along came Sarah, the governor with all sorts of made up resume stuff, winking and giggling and joking and charming her way in.
...and she gave him that shot in the arm to think that maybe, THIS time, he might actually become president of the United States of America. He makes a point about the numbers going up, the points. He sees it as she was a shot in the arm for a deeply sick campaign. Little did he know that shot was a poison one, carrying a vile, putrid, cancerous virus with it, and that trade off that McCain made to pump up his political ego is still costing this country.
But we know what happened then, HE LOST. And he's still smarting over it.
From the article:
IC: So it seems like you are saying you are happy, or lucky.
JM: Am I happy? I’d like to be president of the United States.
NEVER, John Sidney 'Songbird' McCain. NEVER will you be the president of the United States. You can't buy it, you can't manipulate for it, you can't bargain for it, it isn't yours, it never was and you will live with that in infamy.
Whoa! well and truly said!
DeleteGreat comment. And Sarah is quite the stew, I loved that part.
DeleteWhat a sad and pathetic person.
DeleteShe gave us three points. ..
But she divided this nation that I so desperately wanted to rule. ..uh, govern.
There is not a SINGLE. THING. That Sarah Palin said or did during that campaign that would make ANY SANE HUMAN "proud" of her!
When your opening act gets more applause, it's time to cut and John boy.
"That one".
Yeah. You can call him Mr. President you cretanous old fuck.
He STILL thinks he should have won? My God, the entitlement syndrome of these guys is stunning.John, no one deserves that office. It has to be earned. And sorry, but a guy who gets shot down over Vietnam and then rats out his fellow prisoners is no hero. A guy who once worked with the other party but changes to a pissant GOPer with no intention of compromising is no statesman. And a guy who allows himself to be manipulated b y the likes of Palin has about as many brains as one of her children. We dodged more than one bullet in 2008. Thanks for reminding us."I wish I was President." Now that gave me chills.
DeleteMcCain got most of what he achieved in life the same way W got his jobs - nepotism. McCain's father and grandfather were admirals, so little Johnny went to the Naval Academy. He graduated 895th out of a class of 899!! Google the article about him in Rolling Stone, written by Mike Taiibi, it is a doozy. McCain is a lying, cowardly, snivelling, gambler who used to be a womanizer in his younger days even while married. Palin is his type, souless, dishonest, ruthless, ready to do ANYTHING to further her ambitions. Maybe she has something on him, I wonder if he DID sleep with her? Maybe one or more of Taahd's "working girls"??
DeleteYesterday I said that in spite of differences in political views with him, I did think he was a stand-up guy when addressing the "Obama is a muslim and un-American" spouter at a townhall meeting. I've changed my mind. He's a douche bag.
ReplyDeleteI know really.. What a sore loser with no class.. Asshole!
DeleteGood on 'ya!
DeleteMcCain was just smart enough to know better than to let the hate backsplash on himself. He deflected the Muslim/Arab remarks in pure self interest. Fomenting hate and throwing rocks was Pitbull Palin's job, his was to try and remain "presidential" and appear to be above the mud fight.
DeleteUnfortunately that all fell apart when the economy collapsed and he sat there like a lump while Obama jumped right in with teh "experts" trying to find solutions. McCain was his own worst enemy. Romney had the same problem.
It's the entire party. I read somewhere where people think if they just have the 'right candidate' they can take back the Senate and the WH. Really? You think your ideas have nothing to do with it? That hating women, hell, hating half of America, is OK, if you jiust find that perfect man to articulate the GOP values? Sorry, we have seen what the GOP stands for, and it isn't truth, justice and the American way. It is lies, justice for white males, and a way to a theocracy and corporate takeover. And we aren't buying, no matter how many pitbulls wear lipstick.

Oh poor Sarah!!!! Just kidding! It's karma and prison will be next for her and Todd.
DeleteLet's see...
Delete"DANCING"! HA!
Fishing.
Hairdressing.
Buying puppies.
Children raising children.
Yes. Mark Burnett-
There are so, SO many riveting plot lines around the Palin CELEBRI-TICOL family!
Not for nothing,
There's this chick, says Todd Palin was pimping her ass when his old lady was Gov.
Now THAT is some REALITY TV that I can watch! !!
Sarah was just a shiny object that McCain threw up in the air to distract from the fact that he was about to lose yet ANOTHER presidential race. Time was running out and he hoped she would shine just enough to get him to the finish line. Unfortunately, that shine wore off in the first political rainstorm and it wasn't long before the world saw the rotted, rusty, corroded inside of Sarah and they said HELL NO, NO WAY and the rest is history.
ReplyDeleteMcCain is just a spoiled young entitled man who grew old and less entitled.
ReplyDeleteThat was Satire right, Gryphen?
ReplyDeleteI think McCain got Viet Nam to allow his wife to sell beer in exchange for forgetting about the POWs.
ReplyDeleteA --- they were never three points up on obama. Never, ever, ever.
ReplyDeleteThe most she did was temporarily close the gap to one point and that was only because she was shiny and new and people were intrigued. Then the stories about all the lies came out and the economy started to sour and McCain cancelled his campaign and their numbers went down again.
B -- he didn't seem to have a problem for forgiving bush for implying that he had fathered a baby out of wedlock in push polls. In fact Mr. "maverick" seems to have hired the people involved with these smears for his campaign. Because...you know...integrity!
C -- he also didn't have a hard time aligning himself with an incumbent president who attacked the military record of his long-term friend as the heart if his campaign.
Because...you know...INTEGRITY!
Yes.
DeleteExcellent Observations. That's what stood out the most about this interview, he can never forgive Lewis (for speaking the truth) - that's one trait that's unbecoming of anyone, especially someone running for President.
DeleteWhat Bush implied about McCain's daughter, Bridgitte is unconscionable. She was his "love child" from an interracial affair, and he not only "forgave them", he hired them for his campaign.
@5:25 - To be fair, I'm pretty sure what he meant was that he was suddenly three points less far behind, not three points ahead. :)
DeleteEven after W savaged him during an election, he STILL was photographed hugging him at his birthday celebration. That photo sticks in my mind. People were drowning in NOLA, W flew over on his way to Phoenix to bring a cake to little Johnny for his birthday. In the photo, Johnny has his head on W's shoulder, with a look of pure contentment on his face. DISGUSTING. McCain is a disgusting, failure as a real MAN.
DeleteI think that photo is the most maternal I've ever seen her be!
ReplyDeleteTo Piper or McCain?
DeleteThat isn't photoshopped?
DeleteYikes.
Like when Sarah asked Glenn Rice to talk into her microphone,
And he said, " You first".
Not a coincidence also, too.
DeleteWasn't it RAM who mimicked Sarah's tough-gal act, always saying, "Taste my nightstick! Boom!"
Deleteor something stupid like that.
The only person more miserable in this world than Sarah is RAM, because while RAM knows better, she had to sell out completely to support Sarah. She's not earning enough money to be a shill for somebody like Sarah. Maybe for 3X the amount the PAC is reporting. When Sarah is indicted, no one will touch RAM. Just like no one but an idiot like Sarah would have Tim Crawford as Treasurer for the PAC because of his background and why the RNC dumped him for financial improprieties. Whatever. People make choices, and then have to live with the consequences. So STFU Sarah, you've earned our contempt and ridicule.
Poor little picked on $arah again eh Johnny Mac? How many minutes out the introductory gate on the podium did she unleash her vitriol and divisive tone?? Oh that's right, it wasn't minutes, it was mere seconds! She set the tone for her future treatment and it was no accident. She was hired to rile up the uninformed and ill-advised and she was aces at it after so many years of practice in AK.
ReplyDeleteSo McCain feels that all is fair in her 'savage' attacks on his opponents but those supporting Barack Obama were just to sit back and take her shit with a big smile and a thank you mam? Too bad Joe Biden wasted a lot of empathy and compassion with the bitch on the debate stage as it was all for naught. "Some" people may have said she 'won' that debate but he fails to acknowledge that many, many more said she floundered and flopped. Of course he can't admit that truth as it shines back on his piss poor record and behavior including his decision to farm the low class trollop vote in his desperation.
Silly of me to even question the motives of a man who felt comfortable calling his own wife a cunt. He has no scruples, he has no integrity and his role as a 'hero' is as much a scam as the rest of his schemes. All one has to do is read his own book and others written about him to discover just who this little angry man really is and it ain't pretty. He's little more than a modern day Napoleon and I hope he is enjoying his own personal Waterloo. Too bad there aren't any remote islands left for his exile.
He thinks Sarah won that 'debate'? He must have totally forgotten how many times Sarah winked and said you betcha (and used other slang expressions) during the 'debate', and how that was all picked up on by the press the very next day with multiple photos to showcase the utter silliness of her 'performance'.
DeleteActually, he said 'many people thought she won." He didn't say HE thought that. He's canny. He has to support her...she has something on him. But no, she won nothing that night, except a few votes from people who thought she would fall on her smug face. Biden was too much a gentleman to gut her, which he could have done. But it was so obvious she was clueless..she avoided question after question...just like she did in her Alaska debates. She is quite the actress that one. Her schtick was honed early on. Finally the appeal seems to be wearing off. But when was her message ever 'positive?' Did McCain see even one of her speeches? Just like now, she shrieked and whined and blamed. Nothing positive...'our America' versus "Obama's America'is not positive. Calling him a terrorist is not positive. Inciting people to hate your opponent? Sorry John. Lewis was stating facts and you know it. You are a sorry old man...go home to AZ.
DeleteOh, little Johnny covered his flabby arse by saying "some people" thought she won that debate. Right off the bat, she announced to a stunned Gwen Ifill that she would NOT be answering her questions, but talking about what she wanted to talk about. They tried to teach her to say Biden without the O'Biden. She couldn't so they told her to ask if she could call hin Joe. Biden was advised to go easy on her, after the debate he walked off stage and announced "You OWE me" Poor little Johnny, made a huge mistake and his father and grandfather are not around to cover for him once again.
DeleteJohn McCain, you lousy bum. You should be ashamed. You really are a bum. A real bum.
ReplyDeleteI wish a 'journalist' would ask McCain what he thinks about Todd Palin being a pimp in Alaska. And, the fact he is on the committee ignoring Malia's letters, etc.
ReplyDeleteAnyone noticing that Todd is nowhere to be seen of late.
McCain's legacy WILL be the fact he made the horrible choice of Palin on his ticket and they LOST big time!!! Not just by 4 or 3% - think it was 8%!
Tawd went missing courtesy Malia Litman. Prostitution ring and calling out Homeland Security and Secret Service, upside, downside, and everything in between. BUSTED.

I think I will cut up these responses and mail them,
ReplyDeleteOne by one,
To the. " distinguished" Senator.
He won't see them, though.
I May Need to start a Twitter account
Do it!
DeleteThe fact that you have no life is sad. But to each her own. Still sad though.
Delete...said the sad troll who has no life.
Delete6:42 Who "has no life"? YOU don't, coming to a thread that you have to know is not pro Palin, just to make snarky comments. Go back to "work" at the dematologist office, or is the coffee shop?
DeleteThe things Rep. Lewis said about the McCain/Palin campaign didn't come from the Obama Campaign, but McCain wants to pretend that they did. I remember him demanding that then-Senator Obama force Rep. Lewis to apologize to no avail. All McCain can do at this point is try to protect whatever little bit of reputation he has remaining. He's so deeply involved in CYA tactics that he wouldn't dare say anything against Palin for fear that his sanity in choosing her would be in question. He knows he's lying and we know he's lying, and I can imagine there are many nights he lies awake wondering how things might have turned out had he not been forced to place Palin on his ticket. His bitterness about how Palin destroyed his 2008 campaign will follow him to his grave.
ReplyDeleteI seriously dobt that he could have won, even without Palin. Even his fellow repubs. were saying things such as "he does not have the temperament to be President" Just look at the CLASS our President displays, true CLASS. sll of McCain's priviledged upbringing went down the sewer long ago. He has no CLASS, no INTEGRITY, no RESPECT (either given or taken)He is a LOSER, nothing more nothing less.
DeleteLOL check this out:
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin PAC takes fundraising nosedive
http://www.publicintegrity.org/2013/07/31/13088/sarah-palin-pac-takes-fundraising-nosedive
ReplyDeleteIt's ALL Katie Couric's fault. How DARE she ask dumbo what she reads! No one asked Joe Biden the same question.
My take is he's drumming up interest for his daughter's new show. I doubt even McCain believes what he just said.
Bitter Grapes from a sore loser.
At 55 and a woman, I will NEVER understand how she, at damn near fifty, dresses like a trollop, spews lies that can be proven wrong in a heartbeat, a PAC that she "swore" was to promote other candidates that she only contributed 1% to one and keeps the rest as a slush fund, cites God...oh excuse me.....now "higher power," with a keep the Christ in Christmas coming out.
ReplyDeleteYeah right, $arah, yeah RIGHT.
"He" did to Obama/Biden what Bush/Cheney did too him in 2000 (sans the racist from Wasilla!)
ReplyDeleteLOLing at Sarah being *corrected* by Fox & Friends. Ailes FTW!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, is it just me or does it look like Palin is giving McShame a blow job? What is in his left hand?
ReplyDelete8:46 Yeah, right!! Not only that, but it is BLACK, just like $carah likes 'em! I think she is taking out her spite on President Obama because Glen Rice never called her for seconds.
DeleteMcCain "threw" this fight just like in boxing, and we "thank him!" He indeed "Put His Country First".
ReplyDeleteCranky McShame can't admit he made a mistake EVER!
ReplyDeleteI think McCain was right about Katie not being nice to him when she asked Palin those questions. He thought they were friends and she had his back. She decided to not kiss his ass and be a journalist. She knew that Palin could not answer "What other Supreme Court decisions do you disagree with?" That was the greatest blow, and then she kept hacking and hacking away at her credibility. It was awesome, awesome, awesome. What's his name on ABC didn't go in for the kill. Damn him.
ReplyDeleteThe McCain campaign tried to prep Sarah.
DeleteShe refused to study and later fell on the excuse that it was supposed to be a "fun" interview about motherhood or some bullshit
Ridiculous.
He is retarded.
ReplyDeleteHe knows his legacy is screwed *more than it was) and there is nothing daddy or Cindy's money can do about it.
Sucks to be you McCain.
The old mc pain in the a_. What a dud. We all know what an idiot he tried to put in as VP. We all know about everything, it is all out, but just waiting for all confirmations so we can all stop paying any attention on both these idiots.
ReplyDelete"...Not only do I not regret it, but I have probably not seen anyone in American life savaged like she was..."
ReplyDeleteYes you have, John: Bill and Hillary Clinton in the 90's starting with Whitewater, then Paula Jones, etc.
The Republicans spent three years and thirty million dollars trying to find something, anything to pin on Bill and "savaged" might be too mild a word for what the press did to Hillary during those times.
