Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe stepped up his campaign against LGBT Zimbabweans during an election rally of his Zanu PF party supporters in Mutare earlier this week, calling for the beheading of gays.
“If you take men and lock them in a house for five years and tell them to come up with two children and they fail to do that, then we will chop off their heads,” he said on Tuesday.
Mugabe, who has described gays as worse than barn yard animals, also criticized Barack Obama for linking foreign aid to the protection of LGBT rights, and slammed African countries that have not criminalized same-sex acts, saying they are “succumbing to European countries in exchange for aid.”
“We need continuity of our culture. This culture comes from the norm that women carry pregnancies for nine months. If there is anyone who disputes that, he should lift up his hands to say no I fell from heaven,” Mugabe said.
“This thing [homosexuality] seeks to destroy our lineage by saying John and John should wed, Maria and Maria should wed. Imagine this son born out of an African father, [US President Barrack] Obama says if you want aid, you should accept the homosexuality practice. Aah, we will never do that,” he said.
It will surprise no one that Mugabe was raised a Catholic and educated in Jesuit schools.
Nice to see that Christianity has led the African people away from their primitive and savage belief system and infused in them such a loving and accepting point of view.
If he doesn't want our money, fine. Meanwhile, he can show us how underpopulated his nation is. He sounds like the rich white guys over here: "WE NEED MORE BABIES!" No, we don't. We have plenty of infants screaming for food already. We have plenty of toddlers lacking basic food and clothing and interaction with loving adults. We have millions of hungry school children who don't have safe or funded schools to go to every day. Enough. Recognizing that God created everyone, and that gay is not evil is a civilized, humane view. It is not evil. And if Mugabe prefers to act like an Old Testament thug, well, he can watch his nation go under.
ReplyDeleteWith that mustache and the gesticulation he is making, he looks (and sounds) like Hitler!
ReplyDeleteYou know, "Our national way of life is under attack!!!!!!!!! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FATHERLAND!!!!!!!!!"
Pig.
I'm sure he's eager to accept American Evangelical dollars over the government aid.
ReplyDeleteJust thought of something else.
ReplyDeleteThis idiot is too stupid to even consider the idea that a fair number of gay men (and women) actually ARE fathers (and mothers). And I DON'T mean AFTER the kid was born!
So where does THAT leave his "ingenious" proof technique?
IDIOT!
Joe Stalin was a seminarian too.
ReplyDeleteWhat about men or women who are infertile? Will their heads be chopped off too? Are the only worthwhile contributions humans have to offer is to breed? If this man was raised with a Catholic background, what must he believe about the nuns and priests who fail to breed by choice?
ReplyDeleteREALLY good points!!!!!!!!
Deleteall gay people were born of a man and a woman.
ReplyDeleteSo?
DeleteSo he wants a nation of Marcus Bachmann's?
ReplyDeleteAmerica needs this man as president
ReplyDeleteInstead of the Kenyan Muslim Socialist
Well, now you're basically gone off the deep end with your trolling. Trolling is a fine art and what you have here is just dumb.
DeleteHey, 8:31, here's how you let us know you're sane with a post like that:
Delete/snark/
What dead eyes that man has.
ReplyDeleteYou lock a bunch of men in a house and expect someone to get pregnant? Would that be a man,or will there be slave women too?
ReplyDeleteA "culture" that beheads people deserves to be extinct. Another ignorant assclown.
ReplyDeleteI dispute his "women carry nine months" standard. Any woman who delivers a preemie can raise their hands and say they "Fell from heaven".
I've never seen a vertical mustache. ..
ReplyDeleteIt's there to remind teh Gays of the vertical smile.
DeleteHonestly, is there a shortage of babies in that country?
