Moves too fast for me! I get the overall, but details go by too quickly for a decent understanding.

Any way to slow it down?

Well, isn;t that interesting. Can we imagine how fast the economy would have taken off WITH any GOP support? Even ONE tiny Jobs Bill? And that is exactly what they are afraid of. They want zero growth so they can blame it on Obama next year. Come on, Demcorats, let's take the House back and get the economy steamrolling for 2016!

No funds for Obamacare in the new house budget.
    Obamacare must be stopped
    To save American health care

The ACA aka Obamacare is here to stay, little troll. You are deeply misinformed aka ignorant if you think otherwise. No matter what kind of wailing and knashing of teeth goes on with you right wingers, it won't help your cause of trying to defeat President Obama's signature jewel of an accomplishment, with the help of Dems. It is HERE. TO. STAY. and you're terrified because you know that it will be embraced by Americans once it TRULY kicks in and that will give Dems and their agenda a HUGE boost in 2014 and 2016, and THAT is what's got you all upset, isn't it, little troll?

The Obama Recovery Keeps Rolling As S & P Hits 1700 and Jobless Claims Drop Again

That sound you hear is Republicans sobbing. Yes, the stock market is hitting new highs under a Democratic President, which makes no sense since Republicans are supposed to be the “business” party.

“It’s been a stellar year for equities already, and on the first day of a new month, the S&P 500 hit a new milestone: 1700,” reads a giddy report from the Wall Street Journal’s Moneybeat Thursday morning. Crediting the rally to a reassuring Chinese PMI report and a the slide in U.S. jobless claims, they continue, “The S&P 500 is now up 19% on the year, as is the Dow. The Nasdaq Comp’s up 21% and the Russell 2000 is up 25%.”

Yes, you read that correctly, the Dow and the S&P are up 19% this year.

Today’s rally is being partially attributed to the fact that jobless claims declined to their lowest level in five years. Bloomberg reported Thursday, “Applications (INJCJC) for unemployment insurance payments declined by 19,000 to 326,000 in the week ended July 27, the fewest since January 2008, from a revised 345,000 the prior week, the Labor Department reported today in Washington.”

It’s not just that unemployment numbers are dropping, but payrolls are rising. Payrolls rose by...

Obama Has Put Republicans In a No Win Position With Offer To Cut Corporate Taxes

...President Obama is putting Republicans in a no-win position with the public by proposing to cut the corporate tax rate in exchange for reforming the corporate tax code. Many of the largest corporations are hoarding hundreds of billions of dollars offshore on international profits, and besides the most profitable American corporations paying zero taxes, those that do pay enjoy a low 12.6% rate that is a lower than most Americans in the middle class. Americans in the middle class are quickly slipping into poverty, and even though $50 billion in infrastructure spending is twenty times less than what the country requires to remain competitive, it will assuage the devastating effects of the $85 billion sequester cuts and help offset the millions of jobs being eliminated indiscriminately.

Republicans want you to burn your Obamacare cards that don’t exist

...Caitlin Grimes burned the first Obamacare draft card on a Wednesday afternoon in an Arlington parking lot.

“I’m burning my Obamacare card because Obamacare is turning full-time jobs into part-time jobs,” the 19-year-old college student from West Virginia said, as the mock government document smoldered.

“Do I just, like, throw it on the ground when I’m done?”

Grimes was among a half dozen conservative college activists, visiting Washington in late July for a Young Americans for Liberty convention, that FreedomWorks taped burning the mock draft cards. The footage will become an instructional video for other college activists who FreedomWorks hopes will participate.

The effort to burn Obamacare draft cards is decidedly milder than the Vietnam protests of the 1960s. For one, the cards are fake; Clancy decided early on his group would not encourage the burning of Internal Revenue Service forms that Americans will file next year to prove they purchased health coverage.

The video shoot took place in an out of the way parking lot, chosen as to not anger anyone. The Obamacare draft cards come with a set of verbal instructions.

“Light it on fire and while it’s burning say, ‘I’m burning my Obamacare draft card because, and then give a reason,’” Elizabeth Wheeler, FreedomWorks director of messaging, had instructed the group beforehand. “The shorter it can be the better. I’m not saying it can’t be long, but I don’t want anyone to burn their fingers.”
