In the category of more bad news for the Conservatives, the UN's climate panel says "Yep it's hot, and it's all our fault."

Courtesy of BBC:

A landmark report says scientists are 95% certain that humans are the "dominant cause" of global warming since the 1950s.

The report by the UN's climate panel details the physical evidence behind climate change.

On the ground, in the air, in the oceans, global warming is "unequivocal", it explained. It adds that a pause in warming over the past 15 years is too short to reflect long-term trends.

The panel warns that continued emissions of greenhouse gases will cause further warming and changes in all aspects of the climate system.

To contain these changes will require "substantial and sustained reductions of greenhouse gas emissions".

Gee, first the attempts to stop Obamacare crashed and burned, then Obama secures diplomatic breakthroughs with both Syria AND Iran, and now the whole world (Except REAL Americans of course.) recognize that man is behind all of the crazy climate change?

It is almost enough to convince a pro-business, anti-government, Bible believing, conservative that they have been wrong about..well just about everything!

Well if they believed in something called "facts" that is.

Yeah, but it's from the UN, so it's a conspiracy. It's not from researchers at Liberty University or some other Faith-Based institution, so it can't be trusted also.

The GOP will simply claim the scientists are all a bunch of commie, muslims, christian hating, gay loving atheists. And the crowds will roar their approval.

And all those faux scandals up in smoke. Fast & Furious, IRS, Solyndra, Benghazi, Executive Use of Twitter, birth certificate. Everything they go after fizzles. It just shows how desperate they are.

They wanted to nail him on Syria. They failed. They were screaming 'Impeach' every other word. They were pivoting to start the war chants for Iran. And what does our president do, he neutralizes ALL OF IT in a matter of days. Direct conversation with the President of Iran, Putin and via Russia, Assad. Talk about a HUGE play.

And Netanyahu is on his way to meet with President Obama at the White House. Sounds to me like Barack's got things well in hand.

This is making the right wing insane how he, almost effortlessly, brings about these HUGE shifts in the national and international dialogue. They are spittin' mad that he is so effective and so they have to tear him down every chance they get.

That's why they are using Sarah, she's the nastiest of the pitbulls out there. She's a whore for publicity and money, so she will gladly do the bidding of the Koch crowd and the Heritage folks.

This is about trying to destroy President Obama's legacy, now. This isn't about re-election, like the first term. This is about trying to tarnish his time in office, wanting to pin some scandal on him or to cry impeachment, so political history will not speak well of his time in his second term. It's insidious, but it's slowly revving up, along with the bash Hillary campaign.

And Sarah the attack dog is right in the thick of it. No surprise. She THRIVES on this role of nasty girl, nearly to the point of mania. What a dark and rotten heart that woman has.

I must say, I certainly enjoyed our warmer than usual Alaska summer and our delayed fall; really, leaves on the trees and some of them still green here at the end of September?

I fly a lot, and drive a lot, so I'm part of the problem, but hey, it's working out great for me, in our neck of the woods so I feel okay about it. Oh crap, am I becoming a Republican?

From meteorologist Dr. Jeff Masters' Wunderblog yesterday:
As I read though the report, digesting the exhaustive list of changes to Earth's atmosphere, oceans, and ice that have occurred over the past few decades, I was struck by how the IPCC report reads like lab results from a sick hospital patient. The natural systems that civilization depends upon to thrive have been profoundly disturbed, and the forecast for the future reads like a medical diagnosis for an overweight smoker with a heart condition: unless the patient makes major lifestyle changes, the illness will grow far worse, with severe debilitation or death distinct possibilities. We can and we must make the huge effort to turn things around. Oil and natural gas are the energy technologies of the 20th century. Coal is the energy technology of the 19th century. We have countless innovative and dedicated people ready to move us to the energy technology of the 21st century; I heard three of them speak last night at the Climate Week event I am at, and they really gave me some needed hope that we can turn things around. We must elect new leaders and pressure our existing leaders to take the strong actions needed to advance us into a new, 21st century energy economy.
