What if you held an anti-Obamacare rally and nobody came? Well they did, and they didn't.

Courtesy of Politicususa:

Sens. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz’s defund Obamacare rally today turned out to be a giant bust, as the only people most interested in stopping Obamacare are old people who are already on Medicare.

Pat Robertson’s CBN Network touted the anticipated huge crowd size, “The start date for enrolling in the Affordable Care Act is Oct. 1. As the nation gets closer to that date, activists who want to defund Obamacare are putting more pressure on legislators. On Tuesday, they’re bringing thousands of protestors to Washington, D.C., for an event called Exempt America.”

Crowd shots were not often seen during the live stream of the event, and for good reason most of the people there appeared to be the typical older white Republican voters. The great irony of the rally was that many of the people who did attend the event were likely on Medicare. Those in attendance cheered on speaker after speaker as they railed against government run healthcare all the while knowing that they are recipients of one of the best healthcare programs in the country, which just so happens to be run by the government.

What? Nobody showed up?  How can that be?

After all the Wasilla Wendigo herself said  that it was "time to start bombing Obamacare."

Is it possible that nobody listens to her anymore?

Or ANYBODY in the Tea Party for that matter?

Yep, certainly starting to seem that way.

Here is how Politicususa summed it up:

The tea party is dead. Obamacare is the law of the land, and if these are the people that Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are counting on to get them to the White House, they will be sorely disappointed.

I could not have said it better myself.

Andrew Sullivan's wonderful, as always, in his comment about Our Sarah's youtube video:

"Then there’s the rhetoric of violence. The woman who put cross-hairs on Gabby Giffords is still saying things like 'It’s time to bomb Obamacare.' It’s never time to 'bomb' anything outside a declaration of war. To urge such a thing in domestic political disputes, even in empty rhetoric, is the mark of a crazy person.

    "But we knew that already."

Hey, there were actual thousands there, but because the photo was taken from the middle of the pack of supporters it simply looked as if there were less people. Oh, maybe not, sorry , my bad. Just a few 10's of olds that have theirs and want to prevent anyone else from having any benefits. Stepping away slowly....

  3. As a person who is an Alaska retiree (Tier One insurance fully paid by the State of Alaska for the rest of my life) as well as Medicare, I LOVE Obamacare even though it won't make one iota of difference in my life. I would like everyone to feel as secure about their insurance as I am about mine.

Lynne: I have friends in Alaska that are in the same wonderful position as you.

I feel the same way too - as a retiree and in my early 70's. I have Medicare with my secondary being Blue Cross that I've already had to use in an emergency situation. Having both worked out beautifully!

People objecting to Obamacare need to pay attention to President Bill Clinton as he is out there educating the masses on the subject. It's law and no one or no group is going to be able to overturn it - in spite of what the Republicans are indicating!

I am fortunate to work for a state agency which provides me with a great insurance plan. I, too, am thrilled about Obamacare, not because it will affect me personally, but because it will help so many people who are not as fortunate as I am.

I've known many people who were turned down for pre-existing conditions, had premiums they could not afford, and lost insurance after age 18 or 21. Now those people will be assured the security of health care.

And isn't that a wonderful thing???

    3. 4:04, exactly. My college age children can stay on my insurance until they are 26 and can get on their feet financially. I can't hit a life-time limit (which at 1 million dollars is something I am close to, having had cancer). And my workplace is cheerfully planning to offer insurance benefits to its 30-hour part-time employees. It's all good.

The cable news networks have been running ads by Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee to defund Obamacare by signing their petitions. Signing their petitions will not defund anything. But, the senators will get your name, address and email contact information to bombard you with more ads for more money. The Affordable Care Act is law, and it has been supported by the Supreme Court. And those ads are cheap and cheesy. Both Lee and Cruz pose in front of the same background, photographer at the right of the screen, then the left, right, left, I'm dizzy. They read an identical script. It's organized, very well organized but it's not going to accomplish much except to enrich these Tea Party folks. What a pity that they didn't cut an ad with "Governor" Palin using the same format. She had to go and cut her own cringe-worthy video with the same purpose, using the scare of Obamacare to raise money .

Let's see, the Prayer Chain failed to deliver Sarah Palin to the Naval Observatory as the nation's first female Vice President.

Then there was that “Worldwide Day of Prayer to Heal Trig Palin” that failed to produce.

How about the "Let's Roll. . .To a Stop," campaign (imagine the imagery!)

How about Sarah Palin's Earthquake? There was that movement on Facebook called "Sarah Palin’s Earthquake," whose main purpose is "to round up all of the Sarah Palin supporters to see if we can create the ‘Earthquake’ that she said it would take to get her to reconsider running for President." - You mean that came to nothing?!

Hmmmmm rilly? How could this rally have felled? Unflippingbeliveable!

Off Topic, but it looks like Zimmerman's lawyer pulled a Chuck Heath Sr. and let the press know old Georgie boy had a gun on him when he had a domestic altercation with his estranged wife and father-in-law.

The correlation is, Chuck let the world know she was actually leaking amniotic fluid when she flew back to Alaska and drove back to Wasilla in her 8th month of pregnancy with a special needs child so she's had to make up even more fantastical, heroic stories to mark the "birth" of her last child. Now that Zimmerman's lawyer has admitted George had a gun in a domestic dispute, that muddies up his defense.

The coverage of the Zimmerman domestic violence is bizarre. There are some reports with police insisting he didn't have a gun on him. Were they too stupid to check under his shirt or in his car or are they protecting him again?

      Delete
    2. Anonymous6:25 PM

She knew he had a gun and where he hid it on his person. She lived with this man for seven years and she knows what he is capable of, especially now, it seems, that he has a sense of invincibility‎.

He didn't have to draw his gun because she knew he had one. Mutilating her iPad with a pocket knife is extreme violence. She was right to be scared.

But why didn't she follow through?

What did that smarmy lawyer of Z's say to her to convince her to drop any charges?

IMHO, George Zimmerman is Mark O'Mally's cash cow, seeing as how he has leveraged the trial into celebrity for himself. Is O'Mally now GA's public relations officer AND chief legal bouncer?

hey, my shongles vacccine cost me $215, because my idiot doctor's office didn't know it was covered. So I paid up, then called my insurancem then waited until the hospital got reimbursed, and paid me back. But I did get it. And I love how everyone calls things 'free.' They aren't free. We pay premiums for covered services. Pay up front, use as needed. That's the way insurance works. How come no one ever complains about their car insurance (mandated by law!) We have paid car insurance for 38 years, and made two claims in all that time 2. We paid in $45,000, and made a claim for a totaled car ($20,000) and a dented fender ($2000 with the paint job.) Home insurance? Seven or eight hundred a year, and NO CLAIMS for 37 eyars. Not a one. So the insurance company is doing just fine. At least with health insurance, you actually get some benefit.

They sent a heelycopter up in the air, counted how many people using some kind of graph doohicky, then multiplied the number of squares by the "approximate" number of people in one square. The number reached the tens, and that photo was taken with a fisheye lens with all the hover rounds, AARP sun visors, and Obamaphones photoshopped out.

Gryphen, I'm totally psyched to announce to the last few librul dead-enders visiting your defunct blog the biggest anti-Obamacare rally in the entire history of the known world! Excitement is building, buddy boy!

We expect - now get this - EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN AMERCIA to attend in support of not supporting Obamacare. That's right. The same Obamacare jammed down the throats of the Amercian people through illegal... um... voting... uh... by... elected officials... um... in our national legislature.

Anyway, it's going to be a monthlong celebration against health care for all Americans! YAY!! We dont expect everyone will be able to stay the whole month. Cuz, really, only retired government employees with lifetime government-run health care benefits could really afford to do that. But we do hope everyone, including all the libtards who read this blog will attend for as long as possible.

There will be hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of speakers each giving the exact same speech denouncing the n1@@3r in the White House, over and over and over again. You literally can't get this much anti-Obama rhetoric unless you listen to any right wing radio talk show anywhere in the country! How awesome is that!!

And the soundtrack for the whole event will be non-stop Theodore Nugant's patented squealing guitar
    feedback! Wongo Tongo!!!

The main event will be The Fund To Defund The Fund Fun Run. Basically it's a .01K run/walk/scooter roll. And if you're fat and out of shape (cough cough rush cough) THIS is the event for you. It's about 32 feet long and at the finish line will be all-you-can-eat pancakes fried in lard and soaked in pure high fructose corn syrup and 100% poly-hydrogenated saturated fat compounds created in the laboratory to target specific areas of the body like heart valves and brain tissues.

All the proceeds of the various activities will go directly to the promoter of the event (BJC Enterprises, a wholly owned subsidiary of Box 217 Investments, LLC, Cayman Islands) We use the money to support severely conservative candidates across the country and our own lavish lifestyle. And not necessarily in that order, if you get my meaning. Wink!

Seriously, I hope to see EVERYBODY there! All the details are at my website www.goodlordwearesuchtotaldouchebags.com.

Remember, fighting Obamacare is a fight we can never win, but let's show those libtards we're just dumb enough to keep trying!!
