With October 1st breathing down her neck Sarah Palin tries, and fails, to get Union members on her side in trying to get Obamacare repealed.

Courtesy of Nurse Wretched's Facebook page:

Remember when President Obama promised us, “If you like your current health care plan, you can keep your plan?” That was not true, and his deceptive claim falls in line with all the other lies about Obamacare – like there’d be no health care rationing. (Did she just take actual concerns voiced by the Nevada AFL-CIO and conflate them with "death panels?" I believe she did.)

Anyone with an ounce of common sense can understand that if it is cheaper for a company to cancel employees’ health benefits and pay the $2,000 Obamacare fine instead of providing, say, a $10,000 government mandated employee health care plan, then of course that company will choose to pay the much smaller fine.

And if companies don’t have to provide government mandated health care for part time employees, then of course that’s an incentive for them to cut back employees’ hours and make their workforce part time. (Yep that is a risk, and one that many big businesses are threatening to expand. But ultimately when the program gets implemented completely these businesses will find it more advantageous to take part in the subsidies and reduced prices that the ACA will help implement. Besides having two part-timers instead of one full-time employee doubles the cost of things like training, scheduling and uniforms. This is simply a ploy by big business types to resist the change.)

This isn’t rocket science. This is Economics 101. And it’s happening right now at companies all over the country. (Rocket science and Economics 101, two classes we know Sarah Palin never took.)

We saw this coming, and now even President Obama’s union leader friends have finally 'fessed up to Obamacare lies. These union leaders betrayed their own membership by enthusiastically endorsing Obamacare, and now our good union brothers and sisters are at risk of losing the benefits they’ve worked for and counted on their whole lives. Union bosses, you owe your membership an apology, retraction, and resignation. (Yes we all now how much Palin loves the unions. Not!)

Union leaders are now scrambling and trying to get special carve-outs exclusively for union members. I sympathize with union members (What, she sympathizes with them?) – especially when they’re led by thugs. (Ahh! That's better.) I always do. But this is the wrong way to go about fixing the enormous train wreck that is Obamacare. More cronyism, select exemptions, and special subsidies make the problem worse.

We need to repeal the whole darn thing, and that starts with defunding it.

Union brothers and sisters, don’t let your incompetent leadership hoodwink you again. Demand a full repeal, an immediate defunding, and some resignations. (Yes my union brother and sisters let's stop Obamacare and replace it with...uh....with...well we'll get back to you on that.)

- Sarah Palin

With the October 1st signup date looming on the horizon, the Right Wing is freaking out that they may not be able to stop or water down the Affordable Care Act before the American people get the chance to experience for themselves how great it is for them and their families.

Will there be hiccups and screw ups? Yes of course there will, there always are.

And they will be exacerbated by the fact that the Republicans are flatly refusing to help smooth out the rough patches by working on small changes to the implementation of ACA that would help over come the sticking points. You know like was done back when Medicare was being implemented.

But here is what I always keep in mind. IF Obamacare was going to be the train wreck that the conservatives keep predicting that it will be, they would simply sit back twirling their metaphorical mustaches until it crashed and burned and then start whipping out the "I told you so's." ("Fuck you we knew it, and that's why we didn't vote for it!")

However instead they are working night and day, and spending Koch brother money hand over fist, and even threatening to shut down the government, in an effort to KEEP THE LAW FROM EVER BEING IMPLEMENTED! That is not what people confident that Obamacare will fail would do, THAT is what people who KNOW it will be successful and damage them politically would do.

I'm just saying.

Palin needs to STFU. When she starts paying for her and her family's health insurance she can open her putrid puss of a mouth.

Sarah Palin should have issued a statement showing the insurance coverage that her family members have and who pays for it and what is paid. Are the children covered by the program for Native Alaskans because of their heritage? Is she covered by some state policy that takes care of governors (even if they've quit)? Is Trig covered by state and/or federal programs because of his disability? I do not begrudge anyone such coverages. I just think that she ought to own up about how much the public has paid/is paying for her and her family. Otherwise she should just GO AWAY and allow the ACA to become fully implemented. We do not need her lies.

Something tells me that Chuckie, Jr. and his wife belong to a teachers union, and that her parents are receiving private pension help in addition to their Medicare from their time working in the school system. Perhaps Todd took early retirement from his union job.

Somehow, these jokers are feeling threatened, thus Sarah's palsy "union brothers and sisters," since every thing else she's ever stood for has been anti-uniion and anti-labor. She's never been able to square the fact that most of her family has earned public money with solid union contracts -- and her relentless attacks on government (government employees), people unwilling to take risks, union jobs that protect the worker from innovation.

The fact is, she can't. If she actually followed a logical train of thought, she'd be a Democrat.

The real reason "They" want Obamacare shut down...Birthcontrol & abortion.

Right now at a Catholic cemetery the workers are on strike b/c the Catholic employer(Diocese)wants THEM to pay for THEIR special Health ins which does not included BC /abortion!!! The workers are like hey you want us to have THIS health ins YOU PAY, aaaa(and we will buy our own) and are on strike. I talked with one and told him when Obamacare goes through they will be screwed (the employer) b/c the employees can buy into any ins they want including all that cover Birthcontrol.

Abortion, Birthcontrol is the LAW of the land...why do they continue to try to cram their fucking beliefs down our throats? You don't want BC fine, don't use it same with abortion plan B or what not.
      But fucking leave me alone!
And fuck you Sarah Palin your whore daughters need BC more than anyone!!!

Ha, ha! Poor Sarah can't seem to get a break. She's panicked that she is becoming obsolete (she is) and so she is scrambling to get herself noticed but all she does is end up looking like the buffoon she is.

She could care less about unions, their employees or anyone else. She is an insult to those people who work hard. She is an insult to anyone with a working intellect. She is an utter failure at EVERYTHING she does (and history proves this). She is an abysmal mother, an international joke and, as we are seeing, a laughing stock at Fox News.

NO ONE wants her around, no one is calling on her for anything so she has to interject herself into every issue as if anything she says is taken seriously. She puts out a piece of crap video and when she doesn't get attention from that, she rants and raves on Facebook like some crazed lunatic. Obamacare is here to stay no matter how many tantrums you pull. So there.

Sorry Sarah, you're not going to EVER be taken seriously again, for the rest of your life, so you may as well just call it a day and go FUCK yourself. No one else wants to, that's a for sure!

There are no death panels. Chuck and Sally Heath are still alive. If there were death panels, Sally wouldn't have gotten a second hip replacement. According to Sarah, they would have given her pain killers and told her to go home. Chuck Heath Jr., writing about his father on FB said, "We nearly lost him a couple of times." If there were death panels, Chuck Senior would not be out there hunting and fishing today. They wouldn't have bothered to resuscitate him. Sarah's meme was death panels, failing to offer medical care to the elderly and least productive members of society. If that was true, Sarah wouldn't be able to enjoy all of the delightful medication that keeps her going, speaking of unproductive members of society.

      52. Aluminum foil on windows of bedroom windows. Haha. My folks who live there had that and I joked with them about it:

Was it to keep Obama from spying in their bedroom? Or Joe McGinniss?
Was it perhaps to kep it handy in case I needed to make a hat quickly to communicate with my spaceship?

My Bro-in-Law was a junior TeaBagger at first, but is on his way to becoming a RINO because of the nuttiness of the Baggers, Joe Miller, etc. He's over them. And my sis and he both blame each other for either of them supporting Sarah Palin. They sneaked a Care pkg into my luggage that had a couple of "never worn" Hottest Governor T-shirts. One of which fit me, which is cool-a tshirt to cut the lawn in or get dirty and then toss. But the 2nd Tshirt was like a kids's medium, and only fit my dog, so I gave it to someone at ANC that was coming in with their grandson, who I heard mention Palin's name. I couldn't do that to my dog. He doesn't read very well, but he'd KNOW.

Oh yeah, I think they just put that alum foil in there in the guest bedroom so I could sleep 4 hours in darkness. That was the only bedroom without big curtains and window treatments that let no light into the room. Duh. I didn't figure that our until the 1st night.

A new survey of chief financial officers finds that American companies expect to increase the number of full-time employees by 1.8 percent over the next 12 months as key parts of the Affordable Care Act go into effect, undermining conservative critics who’ve argued that the health care law would hamper business growth and expansion.

“The expected two percent growth in employment is solid, given the context of long-run shifts away from full-time employees largely because of concerns about health care reform and economic uncertainty,” John Graham, Duke Fuqua School of Business finance professor and director of the survey, said. The poll, conducted by Duke University/CFO Magazine, surveyed CFOs at 530 U.S. companies.

The results echo broader indicators showing that companies are hiring more workers.

Payroll figures released last month, for instance, found that job creation at small companies has almost doubled in the last six months, “reaching 82,000 jobs at firms with 49 or fewer employees in July, according to payroll processor ADP.” Small businesses are borrowing more, displaying greater confidence, and are seeing higher “sales of new franchises.”

Top Dems To GOP: Dream On, You’ll Never Touch Obamacare

...Republican leaders continue to grapple with demands from their conservative wing to defund Obamacare as part of any deal to fund the government. For their part, Democratic leaders had a simple message: Dream on, we’ll never let you touch Obamacare.

...The White House also reiterated Thursday that President Barack Obama would reject efforts to undermine Obamacare. “We will not accept anything that delays or defunds Obamacare,” spokesman Jay Carney told reporters.

The House GOP’s pickle is made worse by the fact that they want to avoid a government shutdown because they recognize their party is likely to be blamed for it. But the craving on the right for an all-out war has leaders exploring ways to placate them — so far to no avail.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett (R) will relent and expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act, according to a local report, extending health coverage to more than 400,000 people.

I'll believe this when I see it, he really has little to gain at this point.

Obamacare means affordable coverage and the security of knowing you’ll be taken care of if you or a family member falls ill or has an accident. It’s what millions of insured Americans are already experiencing thanks to the law. And it’s what more than 30 million additional Americans will finally have the opportunity to sign up for when the new health insurance marketplace opens on October 1st.

Despite the successes we're already seeing, opponents are still working to roll back the law. Now, just 20 days before the uninsured gain access to the new marketplace, these opponents are trying to chip away at one of the most important pillars of that affordability and security: financial assistance for middle class families.

That’s right. Thanks to Obamacare, help is available to make the cost of coverage affordable for millions of middle class families—as well as those working to get into the middle class.

How does it work? If you're purchasing individual insurance and you earn less than $45,000 per year, you could be eligible for financial assistance to help you pay for health insurance. A family of four that earns less than $94,000 would also be eligible. And that also applies to people who currently buy their own health insurance—nearly half of them will be eligible as well.

On average, folks who receive financial assistance are expected to save $2,700 a year. For many people, that's the difference between being able to afford health insurance or not.

But today, some members of the U.S. House of Representatives are looking to delay this important provision of the law, which would keep affordable health care out of reach for millions. As has been done many times in the past, they are doing it by spreading misinformation and confusion, using over-blown accusations that misrepresent the law itself.

Obamacare provides much-needed security for the middle class, and opponents are putting that at risk. It’s up to us to spread the word.

As an outsider who enjoys universal health care, I find it disgusting to see these well-paid politicians and millionaire barkers trying to stop the needy from getting affordable health care. Has one middle-class or low-income family EVER complained about this ACA, besides unions? There may be many benefits to Unions that will happen down the road, if congress would give this a chance. It seems that the complainers are the ones who have no health insurance worries.

Good summation G. It makes sense that GOP are afraid of this coming to fruition for the only reason that it will succeed. They must be worried that it will a great success and this is why they are hell-bent on trying to sabotage another victory for President Obama, at the cost of 'we the people'.

I can't believe how obsessed they are with stopping this, when it's all about providing affordable care and gives choices, and relieves 30 million people. What if there was a famine in the land, under President Obama, and he called for congress to release emergency funds to send food aid to affected blue states, would they squash that too?

They also contributed much to make society better. ESL courses for immigrants, help with tax prep, fundraising, volunteer help to make neighborhoods stronger, and help for members who wanted to better themselves.

Aurora, they are a business which has to protect their assets and goodwill. The fact that they specifically ask the public to let them know if someone is possibly misusing their intellectual property--- this tells me that they are trying to do the right thing but they realize that they don't have eyes and ears to be everywhere, but we do. The fact that the general counsel takes a moment to acknowledge appreciation of a heads-up instead of a "bounce-back" email "Your email is important to us. Unfortunately, due to the volume ..." that says they're overwhelmed... This tells me that that really want to hear of these instances so they can respond to them.

Someone who is "too busy" to deal with something, doesn't sign an email with her name AND her telephone number. I tend to notice those sorts of things, and am sensitive to running something into the ground as well. But in the case where Sarah is purposely putting something out there fraudulently with her logo on it, misrepresenting ownership and abusing intellectual property rights, is truly a crime, just as her misuse of the public trust has indictated so often inside and outside political office.

What makes this particularly offensive is the subject matter and her exploitation of it, despite the fact that Sarah knows the laws on intellectual property, because she has gone to great lengths to protect her own marks and her name.

But in her mind, the rules do not apply to her until she us forced to play fair, and please forgive my crudeness, but I'll be goddammed if I will sit by and watch her cheat another business in this way, especially for the reasons she is doing it.

That's why I hope everyone will at least send an email note to Ms Borga... Not because I ask you to do it. But because you feel like it is the right thing to do, and I've passed along contact info that someone else was kind enough to forward to me via G's blog last night. Incidentally, I sent I formation to the King Foundation regarding her misuse of Dr King's likeness. Although I didn't hear back, I'm confident that someone read it, and I have a feeling they'll be better prepared for her grifting activities in the future. If they choose to contact me later for details, that is fine, too. I'm just doing what I can for what I know are the right reasons.

Sarah doesn't care about what she has to do to line her pockets. If I were in North Jersey's position, I would certainly want to know just how widely my own intellectual property was distributed without my permission, authorization or purchase of the rights to use --- and the number of calls or emails might give me an indication of how bad it reflected on my work to have a person like Palin hijack my property. In that case, the qty of responses could be a factor in determining legal damages, which could help bring equity to the aggrieved party.

I care, and I know others here at IM care. This is how each of us can make a difference in limiting how much damage Sarah Palin continues to do without being called out by society. That's why I spread the contact info. I'm not into the "stuffing the ballot box" like the C4P knuckleheads who advocate for their Queen Quitter. But I'm going to give the same feedback that I would like to get from responsible parties. I'm not telling people to go see the 9/11/01 photo with Sarah PAC stuck on it so they can then say how appalled they are. I'm just trying to provide a means for like-minded people here to express their disgust or their concern directly to someone who appreciates the feedback AND can do something to fix the situation. That's all. Sorry for lack of editing here, but I've still got some reading to do for work. BBB

But he's told of the inner workings of how they muscled and intimidated and extorted. It is a crime family with Davud V at the top, who is the primary beneficiary. Just check it out. I had to let it go by the wayside in the past year or so because of time constraints, but it can be fascinating reading. I've also read a couple of books from ex-Sci members. Some of that shit is chilling. They use all if the propaganda techniques outward, and all of the brainwashing techniques inward with a high priority on recruitment. Then, in many cases, after regular members have been bankrupted by purchasing all of the recommended training, etc., they end up working like slaves for little to no pay. In some cases, families are split up as husband and wives are "assigned" to be in different cities across the country or even on a different continent, with no means to see or communicate with one another. It's very depressing in many ways, but more and more people are speaking out, and Marty is one if them who has helped create awareness. The St Pete Times has done some great reporting on the "base" of operations in Clearwater, FL. where they exert a lot if political power and corruption, unfortunately.

Anon 4:35, Please research the $189/mo. plan a little further. Although the deductible is high, you aren't paying for every service before the deductible applies--for instance, you will still get reduced prescription copays regardless of the $10,000 deductible, and will still get other screenings and services for free (mammograms, colonoscopy, birth control, annual blood screenings, etc.) with insurance. Also, your insurance company negotiates better rates than a person who is paying out of pocket, so while your deductible is $10,000, should you have a serious illness or injury requiring hospitalization you would pay less from the get-go WITH insurance because of these negotiated rates than would be charged to an uninsured patient. Best of luck, and wishing you health.

do I have problems with the ACA ?
    Yes.
Does it need to be tweaked and refined ?
    IMHO, yes .
    But, I also understand
the concept of " majority rules ".
Barack Obama was re-elected as President ( by about 5 million votes ) as well as a majority of Democrats in the Senate.
Republicans lost seats in the House and are barely hanging
    on to their slim majority.
Palin and Limbaugh and the Tea Party told their followers to stay home on Election Day because Romney was not..well, Palin.
Now, these same maniacs are demanding that magic happen .
They scream Defund Obamacare !! and as if by snapping their fingers ,
    it will be defunded.
Maybe they can cure cancer and AIDs and eliminate poverty
and make Sarah Palin a non moron , as well.
Apparently shouting something makes it so , whether or not it's realistic.
The most Constitutionally ignorant and low information voters are actually on the far right.
They have no idea how a bill is made into law
and if they listen to Limbaugh and Hannity and follow the Tea Party,
they are made to believe that it's the Republicans
that control the Senate and a Republican is POTUS.
And then they are further suckered into sending money and their mailing information , so the right wing
rope a dope campaign can continue.
Thanks to the lunatics on the far right that have taken over the Republican Party, I'm just a RINO.

I guess the universal health care she stole from Canada is much better than the ACA.

She speaks as if she's pro union. I know there are many unions, but I never heard of "The Consolidated Union of Bald Skank Facebook Psycho Flame Throwers of America"!

Sarah Palin's latest FB photo shows Sarah addressing a group of people. I guess we are supposed to believe that Sarah is surrounded by her union brothers and sisters. The photo was taken at the repeal Scott Walker rally in Wisconsin when his program involved breaking the unions by preventing them from collective bargaining. Sarah was addressing the crowd from an Americans for Progress podium, something funded by the Koch Brothers who are anti-unions. Sarah can't be for unions and against them at the same time. Or, was she against them before she was for them?

Sarah heard from the unions that snowy day in Madison, but no one heard a word she had to say because they drowned her out with boos.

She's not a union sister no matter how many union members she's blown or banged her. That don't get you in the union, Girlfriend. That's how gangs initiate their sisters, Sarah. Maybe that's why you associate unions with thugs. You got initiated into the Bloods, and thought you'd be shop steward next instead of a kicked-to-the-curb head-fluffer-for-life. Oops.

Wasn't her husband, Todd, a union member when he worked on the Slope in Alaska (oil)? Talking out of both sides of your mouth, sister Sarah?

I'm glad that Sarah is putting her PAC logo on her own trademarked photo. But, in case anyone forgot Sarah's tribute to September 11, she used an iconic September 11 photo also to raise money for her PAC, by putting her PAC logo on the photo. (She didn't bother to give the proper attribution, which means writing the name of the owner and the fact that it is copyrighted).

In fact, The Record, Bergen Country, NJ, the newspaper who printed the original holds the copyright. http://www.groundzerospirit.org/ Their website says that it cannot be used without attribution and permission, and it cannot be used for commercial gain. Collecting money = commercial gain. And, they would like to have any abuse reported to them. You can reach them at: http://www.northjersey.com/

It's too bad that we have to call this to Sarah Palin's attention, especially since she has trademarked her own image, and she would be the first to send off lawyer letters threatening to sue anyone for the unlicensed use of her likeness, especially to raise money. And, Sarah claims to have a degree in journalism. One of the first lessons would have to do with proper attribution, putting the quotes in quotation marks and citing a copyright if there is a copyright. Sarah gives away her lack of journalism expertise by failing to follow that basic rule, stealing someone else's copyrighted image. In fact, the original photo is in color, and for some reason, it appears in black and white on her Facebook. You can't change a copyrighted work.

Sarah's excuse might be that someone working for her PAC chooses the photos, but it is her name that is on the Facebook post, and she is the one who spends the money collected by her PAC. She profits from those PAC ads placed on the photos of Ashton Kutcher, Noam Chomsky and the September 11 Firefighters. While it looks as if Sarah is addressing her union sisters and brothers in her current Facebook photo, in reality she speaking against unions, as a Tea Party Koch Brothers partisan at the Scott Walker rally in Wisconsin.

Dear Sarah, this is for you.

A narcissist pursues her own gratification through domination of others, and generally sees others as less then her. Narcissists are in love with themselves, view themselves as perfect, and cannot abide the opinions of others that fail to support that.

In psychiatry, Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is known as a character defect, based in self-grandiosity. Such a person will exaggerate his accomplishments to the point of outright lies, demand to be viewed as superior, indulge in fantasies of unlimited success, and is convinced that she is unique. Only those of similar uniqueness or high status can possibly understand her. She needs excessive admiration and she feels entitled to special treatment. Whatever she wants, she gets, and others must rush to satisfy her needs. She will freely exploit anyone for her own ends, has no empathy, and generally adopts an arrogant attitude of contempt for others. If her wishes are frustrated, she will meet this with rage and attempts to manipulate until she gets his way.

Generally these people gather around themselves those who need a dominant figure in their lives Such people get attached and end up doing things they might not ordinarily do because they fear losing this person' love and affection. That's how narcissists can manipulate them. Narcissists want only those nearby who will affirm their own self-view, and anyone who dares to disagree or think for herself gets punished.

While narcissists are highly dependent on hearing how great they are, they also resent being in this position, so they tend to torment those they need and blame others for anything that goes wrong. So if they don't get their narcissistic supply, someone is going to pay dearly.

In order not to feel weak, the narcissist becomes a control freak. She finds others who will do what he needs and keeps them in a position of endlessly feeding him. She will also try to control their lives.

Often narcissists are self-destructive. Their neediness makes them paranoid, and they fear that they may not be as great as they think they are (although they tend not to be too self-aware).

Thank you for the description of the NPD. I have an older sister ( now estranged) who I think has NPD. This helps me understand why I have been vulnerable to other women with NPD. It's horrible the way they can manipulate other people's lives.

Don't bother, without the ability to recognize what is wrong within herself she is completely incapable of helping herself.

Very fitting description of my mother and in that way I can have some sympathy for Palin's kids because life with her is hell. The older they get, the more they will learn to resent her I predict. Narcissists don't change. Mother never did. They have no sympathy or empathy, everything is about them. They will do anything to get their needs met, to the detriment of others. My mother once told me she never did anything wrong in her life despite berating, terrorizing, humiliating her children and physically and mentally abusing them. They can't change I guess. There is a thin line between narcissists and sociopaths. Anon 9:28, avoid your sister like the plague.

  47. My sister is part of the national American Nurses Association task force to provide suggestions and policy changes that will facilitate full implementation of the ACA before the health exchanges October 1st.

She's had several 100-page e-mails sent to her for background, and her e-mail has a header 4 pages long with the names of everyone contributing to the Nurses Association.

She pointed out to me that their contributions are just the tiniest part of the total call for suggestions and information to ensure the ACA works as well as possible. She's been in nursing for 30+ years, and she's pretty impressed with the communication factor between agencies, levels of care, and service entities being emphasized as much as it is by the ACA.

It's no wonder the original law had 3,000 (or whatever) pages. It IS a wonder it got written and submitted in time before the vote was taken in 2010. Those idiots in the Republican Party think something as complicated as the ACA can be written on a cocktail napkin.

  48. Why is it that all of Palin's nonsensical diatribes read like "Mad Libs", wherein the blanks are filled with banal buzz words stolen from "The Idiot's Guide to Right Wing Blogging"?
