Ted Cruz's father believes his son was anointed by God to be a "king" who would "go to war, win the war, and bring the spoils of war" home to the evangelicals like himself.

Courtesy of Opposing Views:

The father of right wing Texas Senator Ted Cruz, the most visible leader of the now-ended government shutdown, is seen in recently uncovered videos calling for America to be ruled by “kings” who will take money from anyone who is not an evangelical Christian and deliver it into the hands of fundamentalist preachers and their acolytes.
Larry Huch
Megachurch preacher Larry Huch suggested that Rafael Cruz’s own son, Ted, is one of those “kings.” And in fact, at a ceremony this past July Ted Cruz was “anointed” by a group of fundamentalist preachers in a special blessing ceremony.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, then-Senator Barack Obama was accused by conservatives of advocating “redistribution of wealth” from the wealthy to the needy. But in his speech given last year, Rafael Cruz calls for “a great transfer of wealth.”

The difference is that in Cruz’s scheme, the transfer will occur through a war against “the wicked” led by Christian preachers who will take the wealth from nonbelievers.

“The wealth of the wicked is stored for the righteous,” said the elder Cruz at an Irving, Texas, megachurch in August of 2012. “And it is through the kings, anointed to take dominion, that that transfer of wealth is going to occur."

“I know that’s why God got Rafael’s son elected — Ted Cruz, the next Senator,” said Huch, pastor of the New Beginnings megachurch, introducing Rafael Cruz’s speech.

“Kings who are anointed for a totally different reason than priests,” Rafael Cruz continued. “Kings who are anointed to take dominion. Kings who are anointed to go to war, win the war, and bring the spoils of war to the priests.”

WTF?

So according to Cruz's dad he is destined to be the king of America, wage a war on those of us who are unbelievers, and then deliver our money to his father and other like minded evangelicals.

And just when I thought I could not have a lower opinion of Ted Cruz.

Of course what could I expect? I mean look who endorsed this lunatic in the first place.

That is such a mind blowing corruption of what Jesus (whom I don't believe existed, but whose myths emphasized equality) supposedly taught.

In my part of the world, I've certainly heard ministers indirectly promote a party or a candidate, but THIS is blatantly loud and proud and specific. You couldn't hold your head up in this church congregation and tell people you were voting for the other candidate.

These kinds of church scenes always scare me. Not so much the pastor, but the hundreds, and thousands, of people who sit in the pews and don't walk out. Who "Amen" these kinds of teachings.

First of all, there is no Ted Cruz, Ted is an alias. His name is Rafael Cruz and he isn't a natural born citizen and is unqualified to run for the office of the Presidency. As for Cruz and his Daddy, well My Dad, who happened to be one of the first members of the OSS( The forerunner of the CIA) during WWII and stayed in Europe after the war to help interrogate Nazi's ( because of his ability to speak multiple languages) says that Cruz is nothing but a sleeper agent. BTW in the yrs after WWII many sleeper agent families were deported. But this Castro sleeper agent got overlooked, we should have looked at the Cubans as much as the Germans.

And how do you explain the fact that his mother was born a US citizen, just like President Obama?

The only difference (from a citizenship point of view ONLY!) between the two is that POTUS has a Hawaiian birth form!

Both had fathers who were not citizens.

And until the question is finally settled by a decision from the SCOTUS, most scholars agree Cruz IS qualified to be president simply from his mother's citizenship.

As sick as that makes me.

And since he is both over 35 AND has lived in the US for more than 14 years straight, guess what that means.

Yup, You got it. You're wrong.

      @11:17.

The current legal thinking is that since he was born of an American mother HE is a natural born citizen. That goes along with children born to military women or military wives overseas. Far too many precedents in his favor, much as I hate to admit it.

      To make it plain:

The current legal thinking stipulates that if you are born of an American woman, then YOU are an American. Period. And until it goes to SCOTUS, that will stand.

I agree with you about POTUS. He WAS born in Hawaii and therefore has a double claim. Cruz being born in Canada does NOT affect his natural citizen status!

These lovers of "Kingdom now" and all things "I want to be part of a righteous ruling" are totally off the path. They are a faction, a new improved pharisee, and dictators of the highest order. The 'king's anointing' is New Apostolic Reformation crap. The new age supposedly began around 2001, ushering in a time when ALL the 'believers' are king/queens AND priests just as Jesus was a king and priest.

Among the kings/queens/priests are those with a 'special anointing' of Apostle and/or Prophet and some, like Ted and Sarah, are believed to be endowed with special gifts to elevate them to the top of the governmental mountain.

Ted's arrogant smirk likely derives from being indoctrinated since the age of 8 to believe he was chosen to protect 'freedom' in the U.S.--i.e. replace freedom with the authoritarianism and dominion of the NAR.

Ahh the uber evangelcal affilliated father of a cuban canadian believes he's a "King" in cahoots with "Priests"

Does he know why the pilgrims came to the united states and wrote the constitution? (To get away from Kings and state religions etc etc etc....

That photo of "thumbs Up Rafael" and "cock eyed con woman" is priceless. She's checking out his "junk".... yep, he's doomed.

Wonder how much money "Jesus" took in in his lifetime how involved in politics? I'm no longer Christian, but didn't he drive the money counters from the temples? And he was relatively apolitical if I recall correctly.
