"War on Women Thursday" continues. Let's mosey on over to Texas.

"What did you say?"
You may remember when I wrote that Rick Perry's wife said this over the weekend:

Anita Perry, the wife of Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R), said over the weekend she views abortion as a "woman's right," but disagrees with it personally.

"I see it as a woman's right. If they want to do that, that is their decision. They have to live with that decision," she said in an interview Saturday at the Texas Tribune Festival.

"Yeah, that could be a woman's right. Just like it's a man right if he wants to have some kind of procedure. But I don't agree with it and that's not my view."

We all wondered afterward how Mrs. Perry could express an opinion that appears to be so diametrically opposed to that of her Governor husband.

Well as it turns out, she can't!

Texas Gov. Rick Perry today owned up to an “oops” moment that wasn’t even his.

His wife, Anita, misspoke when she told a journalist that abortion is a woman’s right, Perry, 63, a Republican who opposes terminating pregnancies, told a crowd in Smithville, New Jersey.

“From time to time we’ll stick the wrong word in the wrong place, and you pounce upon it,” Perry told reporters at a campaign event for U.S. Senate candidate Steve Lonegan, a 57-year-old Republican from Bogota.

" From time to time we’ll stick the wrong word in the wrong place?" What is she programmed?

I think that Anita Perry spoke her heart, and expressed an opinion that she feels very strongly about.

For this glorified shitkicker to treat her like a second class citizen whose opinion is not valid, is a form of emotional abuse, and it speaks volumes about Rick Perry's character. Or lack thereof.

I often wonder what kind of woman could be married to such an arrogant prick as Rush Limbaugh, Ted Cruz, or Rick Perry. I think that question has now been answered.

They asked the woman twice to clarify. Each time she stated the same opinion. Screw Rick Perry and his cuckoo rhetoric

I am reminded again of the "deer in headlights" look of Gina Loudon concerning gov't up in her vagina. Women's bodies are our own. Period. None of your business, "governor."

" From time to time we’ll stick the wrong word in the wrong place?"

I think it's a perfect metaphor to explain their aversion to treating sexual assault as a crime, whether it's by a guy who gets his victim pregnant or it's a State mandated transvaginal probe on a pregnant woman wishing to terminate her 'joy,' if her whole system there failed to shut that whole thing down and whatnot.

  4. The men are ambitious and give the women and their children a decent life. That’s it, especially for Limbaugh and Cruz; I can’t imagine anyone loving those guys.

Perry might have had some attractiveness, and he didn’t subjugate his wife over the years, or she wouldn’t have dared speak her mind. Now he’s just reassuring the idiots who support him. I wouldn’t be surprised if the two of them spoke very differently in private.

Frankly, Anita Perry expressed the opinion of many pro-choicers.
She endorses the availability of the abortion option. She feels she wouldn't be led to that choice herself, but she feels it needs to be an option for women other than she.

I fervently believe in the right to abortion, and the access provided by Planned Parenthood and other health care providers.

If I were in the situation where I might need an abortion, I don't know what I'd do. But I'd want to have, as a choice, the termination of the pregnancy, if that's so warranted. It's no one's decision but that of me, my husband, and my doctor.
NO ONE has domain over my body and my choices.

Until and unless the scientific community can prove to me that a zygot inside me is a viable human being -- at that moment -- then I, as the carrier/mother, have the right to decide the future of that protoplasm until he or she has become viable outside the womb.

Even if it is a life, the government has no right to force any woman to carry it. The only person making that decision should be the woman and her doctor.

Pregnancy is the only situation where people are perfectly okay with forcing others to give up bodily functions and organs. Try attempting to mandate blood/bone marrow/organ donation and listen to these Fuckwads scream.

But if a woman gets pregnant? Suddenly a clump of tissue has more rights than she ever did.

I've always been of a mind that Anita wanted to be First Lady more than she wanted Rick to be POTUS. I think she suffers greatly under the dolt---but she has invested too much time in him and thinks he owes her something for all she has put up with. Walk out the door Anita, walk out the door.

Just when I think someone can't sink any lower in my opinion, they prove me wrong. I don't really feel sorry for his wife because she has knowingly been his beard for years. For that, he owes her respect.

The continued nerve of this woman, in her endorsement of a whack-job Republican running for NJ Senate:

"During one mayor's tenure his town's unemployment nearly doubled, taxes skyrocketed, and violent crime increased; but in fairness, Newark Mayor Cory Booker may not have noticed these facts between his constant tweeting and trips to Hollywood," she added.

This, coming from the 'ril' Ricki Hollywood.

I wonder how much her PAC is donating to this conservative's campaign? $5?

Wait..." constant tweeting and trips to Hollywood?" This was from the Twitter Twit? She must be taking a break from her own shameless pursuit of "fame" and the pimping of the various reality shows she and her family have participated in in order to take a shot at a politician who is actually doing his job and not pimping himself out to Hollywood.

Frankly, I don't care what her opinion is. She is the stupid wife of a stupid governor. All she gets is 1 vote, just as I get 1 vote. She's welcome to her opinion. Rick Perry can have his opinion too. Neither of them seem to be big in the brains department. Neither can affect my opinion. And their backtracking and waffling, sure isn't going to do anything other than earn my scorn. The fact that neither of them are capable of noticing they look like idiots is an indicator of how stupid they are.

BUT, the law is the law, upheld in Roe vs Wade. Women have a right to make their own decision about abortion. It's my job to make sure (with votes, contributions, vocal support) to make sure that women have reasonable access to safe, affordable medical care (including abortions, birth control).

I think Anita Perry is perfectly capable of telling her husband to stop jerking her around in public, I don't think this is a case of domestic abuse. I think she either enjoys it, or believes she gets something for it. That just underlines her lack of intelligence.

Laura Bush said that in 2008 and 2012. . George W Bush did not support it but never denied that his wife was for it. George Bush senior was a witness at a gay wedding last week. He said he had been friends with the 2 ladies for MANY years. I am happy that the couple from AR are getting better ins. I have a friend that is a doctor in KY and referred some of his patients to another doctor because of the paperwork involved in the Affordable Care Ins. He said his office could to provide good health care and complete the excessive paperwork too.

Who is Bristol Palin dating? She posted photos of her dad's birthday dinner and Bristol was sitting next to a man. He looked like Gino to me. Have they reunited?
