Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio (R) took to Twitter on Wednesday to show off the "special" Thanksgiving meal his office served to inmates on Thursday. What made the meal special? The 56 cent cost per inmate.
"Thanksgiving menu is all set!," Arpaio wrote on Twitter. "Hope the inmates give thanks for this special meal being served in the jails tomorrow."

I am not sure exactly what "Turkey Soy Casserole" is, but it sounds like a good reason to riot to me.Look I am all about saving money, but I think that prisoners should be allowed to have an actual meal at this time of year. How can you rehabilitate people if you treat them like animals?
Of course I guess it is to be expected from a guy who hangs out with Ms. "Christmas is only for Christians" herself. Two peas in a hateful little pod.
I don't know why but I read this and had a weird feeling that there was gonna be a fraud scandal brewing for him. I'm sure the county allocates a certain amount of $$$ for food for the inmates…maybe it's not all going to them? Maybe some of it is going to Joe's pocket?

It would seem to me that on a day we show our "thanks" for what we have, he wouldn't be bragging about how little he spent and what he served his prisoners for dinner on this special day.

ReplyDelete...Aslan, who was famously challenged by an overmatched Fox News commentator to defend his standing as a Muslim to write a book on Christianity, said that, in fact, Jesus’ 2,000-year-old teachings were so revolutionary that if he were to preach them today they would still upset many of those who claim to promote his values.
“Jesus did not preach income equality between the rich and the poor,” Aslan wrote. “He preached the complete reversal of the social order, wherein the rich and the poor would switch places.”
He cites several well-known passages from the Bible to place Jesus’ teachings into context, saying they were far more political and radical than is usually assumed.
“Jesus is not simply describing some utopian fantasy in which the meek inherit the earth, the sick are healed, the weak become strong, the hungry are fed, and the poor are made rich,” Aslan wrote. “He is advocating a chilling new reality in which the rich will be made poor, the strong will become weak, and the powerful will be displaced by the powerless.”
Indeed, he writes, Jesus warned “how hard it will be for the wealthy to enter the Kingdom of God.”
Those teachings upset authorities when Jesus promoted them, Aslan says, just as they disturb many Christians today.
“The fact is not much has changed in two thousand years, as Palin and Limbaugh have proven,” Aslan wrote. “Yet if these ‘culture warriors’ who so often claim to speak for Jesus actually understood what Jesus stood for, they would not be so eager to claim his ideas for their own. In fact, they’d probably call him a Marxist.”

Is this the Sarah Palin family Thanksgiving love for her fans? lol We are laughing so hard over the book sales failure of the fraud Palin and so much for her sharing the wonderful family traditions this year, tee hee. They dare not show pictures or a family get together this year? It would expose numerous of her recent lies? Does Sarah Palin fail at everything she does? If she actually had a precooked turkey to carve, a video of that would have been a delight! She was with Teko in a kitchen with a turkey and a knife. No other family members nearby but it looks like someone did cook this year.
I think I see can whip topping in this 2012 picture but no other sign of a what anyone outside of the cult would call a traditional dinner.

Why is Bristol's head so strange? Is that Molly next to her? What a tiny head, you would never think there would be a huge head like Sarah and a tiny head like Molly born in the same family. Is that Willow's boyfriend, Chris Wyckoff?

I am no ace turkey carver but I didn't know anyone carved the back of the turkey like Sarah is teaching Teko. I didn't see the tutoring video she followed. Did someone set Sarah up to look like the family turkey (joke)? Does the whole family carve turkey upside down? Is that the tradition? What am I missing? Sliced turkey back?

She is carving the turkey in the correct manner. The upside of the turkey is actually the bottom chest of the animal, not the back. The keel and ribs are on the bottom when the turkey is alive and mobile but on the top when we cook it.

When we cook turkeys we cook them upside down because the back is the flat part and the keel/sternum area on the "pointy" side is actually the chest where the breast meat is.

Anonymous 11:35...thanks for the photo-op pic of Sarah "carving" a turkey. Naturally, she's wearing an apron with bears on it. Palin won't let her bots forget that she's the Mama Grizzly! Sarah's hands are covered with gloves (that's good for those who will eat the bird), but oh my, her forearms look awful...way too thin and the skin appears soooo old. I wonder if Palin ate much Thanksgiving dinner. I don't think her family cares that she is wasting away. We who dislike Sarah obviously don't care what she does to herself to hasten her demise, literally or figuratively, but you would think those riding her PAC's gravy train would try to keep her reasonably healthy in order to keep her grifting up to speed.
