Okay so I was accused of putting a damper on everybody's Christmas by posting about so many unsavory people. Is this better?

Of course there will be SOME people who will even find something offensive about this lovely couple.

But hey, you can't please everybody!

Now that's a beautiful tree, and a couple who dressed beautifully to honor the holiday. Happy Holidays (thank you, Sarah Palin, for making that my go-to-expression).

  2. It's very nice, but hey I wasn't complaining. I consider your blog today an oasis from all the sap just outside, and a number of inescapable posters on Facebook who, under the guise of a holiday, are really just trumpeting their proud subservience to consumerism.

For those who want more, dailykos is running a nice series on "The Year In Crazy," and you can read entries up to June, so far.

6:26, we're all "fake couples", think about it.

Fake couple? He's not a trial husband. They wear their wedding rings. They are involved in their kids lives. Someone is jealous.

@6:26, if you honestly think that they're not really in love, I feel bad for you. You probably have some kind of disorder where you can't read people and probably have asperger's.

Actually, you don't know a damn thing about them if you can say something that stupid. Your nasty, bitter, hateful jealousy of the Obama family is so pathetic. What a stunted, miserable life you must have to invest so much in convincing yourself that that the Obamas have a life as empty as yours.

Go back to elementary school and learn some proper English first. Maybe THEN we will be able to interpret your gibberish.

Sarah as family? Don't you proofread before hitting "publish"? Gryphen seems to have clarity in his life, which is more than I can say for 6.27. At least she has her consultant's pay.

WTF? Uplifting? The poor girl DIED. How uplifting is THAT for god's sake? She DIED on Christmas! HOW is that uplifting again? I'm sure her parents wouldn't describe it that way. Clearly, you know NOTHING about losing a child.

What is wrong with people these days? Geeze.

    2. A girl beyond what help known medical science could do had a last wish and several selfless thousands heard it and responded. Doctors, well before, had doubtlessly warned her parents of the heartbreak ahead, but it was a pain at least fractionally ameliorated by such a display of how people can be moved to care, without asking 'what's in it for us?' Are we not wanting for a little more of that?

Ohio teacher tells African-American student: ‘We do not need another black president’

A teacher in Ohio was suspended this week for allegedly telling an ambitious young African-American student that the country does “not need another black president.”

According to The Cincinnati Enquirer, Gil Voigt was suspended without pay from Fairfield Freshman School on Monday, the first step necessary for termination. The teacher has 10 days to ask to for a hearing before the school board or a referee.

Superintendent Paul Otten told the Journal-News that the incident occurred while Voigt was speaking to an African-American student who had presidential aspirations.

“We do not need another black president,” Voigt reportedly said.

“He was talking to some students and said some things that were racially insensitive,” Fairfield City Schools Board President Dan Murray explained. “We take diversity in our school district very seriously with tolerance of people who are different. We just felt this teacher had crossed the line.”

Voigt has also received four other reprimands in recent years, including one for an “inappropriate racial comment” in 2008.

The 13-year Freshman School teacher makes a salary of $73,566, which is over $33,000 more than the average Ohio public school employee.

“Obviously we’re very disheartened to have this situation with any of our staff members,” Otten admitted. “It’s not something we’re proud of, and it’s something we must not tolerate.”

Good. It's nice to see some action taken to shut down racist idiots like this.

Our 'black' president is the best president in my lifetime and I'm no young filly, that's for sure. President Obama, our mixed race president is a man to be supremely proud of, and I am.

What a stunningly beautiful couple! Class, Grace, Elegance, Humility, no hate, no anger, just love for humanity.

And the simple greeting "Merry Christmas" seems to have offended some people.... hmm I wonder why?
Had to laugh at a few of the comments, as if they have anything that even comes close!
