Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) is not a serious threat to Sen. Mark Begich (D-AK) in the 2014 senate race because she is so "disconnected" from the state, the incumbent told the Huffington Post in an interview published Monday.
"She would be a formidable opponent in the Republican [primary], but I have no worry or fear of her," Begich told the Huffington Post. "I think she is so disconnected from Alaska now that I'm not sure she even knows what's going on."
Begich isn't positive Palin is a resident of Alaska anymore.
"I'm not even sure if she still lives in the state," he said.
I think Mark is well aware that the Caribou Barbie of Alaska has now been replaced by the Scorpion Sarah of Arizona. And as for her understanding of Alaska polities, well it really was not all that good to start with, and there is little doubt it has degraded since then.
By the way I chose that picture of Mark because Dennis sent it to me, and becasue it made Begich look aggressive, and "usually he is always smiling."
I think I would be smiling too if people thought my biggest challenge in 2014 was Sarah "I quit" Palin.
Come on, Mark. We know you know Sarah's secrets. I imagine there isn't an Alaskan legislator on either side of the aisle who doesn't.

Coincidence? You decide.
My father, who worked multiple jobs and faithfully and honestly paid his taxes for fifty years, had never heard a word from the IRS. In 2008, his daughter was tapped to run for vice president of the United States. Since that time, he has been, in his words “horribly harassed” six times by the agency. They’ve tried to dig up something on him but he’s always operated above board.
Government and politics are ugly. Kudos to the few that are trying to clean it up.
To date, Heath’s comments have not generated any mainstream media attention at all. The same media that generated story after story from the now discredited claim by waitress Dayna Morales, which was also posted on Facebook, that a family mistreated her because she is gay, are completely ignoring Heath’s claim that the father of a former Republican vice presidential nominee is being harassed by the federal government because of the family’s politics. The same media that can’t get enough of stories about “scandal-plagued” Chris Christie, are ignoring this.

There are several blogs that are repeating Sr.'s IRS woes. They don't say much. He is getting more attention then most. It isn't a story with facts. just grumbling.
DeleteChuck Heath Sr. has always been a talker so I don't get why he is not making statements and the one to complain. Why is his son doing it for him?
Is he not alright? Is he laying low and quiet b/c he has something to hide and he doesn't want to go on record?
People who live their life like they are mafia or criminal are going to be scrutinized by authorities at some point. That is not harassment.
Did his heart trouble have anything to do with stress over the IRS? They mention since 2008 when Sarah ran for VP. They don't say when he thinks the harassment started or exactly why it is harassment and not just a justified audit?
Sarah Palin has influence at Breitbart, they aren't making a story of this? She could also call Wolf Blitzer and others if she thinks her father's situation needs attention in the media.
As I understand Sarah kept her distance from her father when he was near death with an operation. She fails to mention him much. Something strange seems to be going on between them. If it is not between them she may have avoided her father when he was near death because she wanted to keep her distance as a result of the IRS problem her brother is complaining about.

Sarah Palin would do something for her father if there was anything of concern or harassing. Junior is just into the drama.
If Chuckie Jr. is concerned about the IRS auditing Chuckie Sr., I wonder if he is worried they are doing, or going to do, the same to him?
DeleteThe Heath bunch seem to be pretty dishonest (look at the lives of Sarah and her brother). Chuckie Jr. needs to remember that the IRS audits many Americans throughout the nation (to include me). If a person has followed the law and rules of the IRS, they have nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately, many in the FBI, Secret Service and Anchorage Police Department were already well aware of Todd Palin's activities. They know and choose to do nothing because it would be too embarrassing to admit the truth.
