House Majority PAC is launching a new ad hitting Rep. Nick Rahall’s (D-W.Va.) Republican opponent for his support from the billionaire Koch brothers.
The ad, from a super-PAC working to elect Democrats to the House, charges that Charles and David Koch have spent more than $1 million to elect state Sen. Evan Jenkins, and outlines a series of negative impacts from Koch spending and influence in West Virginia.
“The Koch brothers wouldn’t be billionaires if they didn’t get what they paid for,” a narrator says in the ad. “In Washington, Evan Jenkins won’t work for us.”
I think it is a great idea to use ties to the Koch brothers, against the candidates that they are supporting.
If you can't outspend them then at least make that money so tainted that the smell of it sticks to their chosen candidate and makes him unelectable.
And that one tag line is the kicker. The Koch brothers wouldn’t be billionaires if they didn’t get what they paid for." THAT is the gospel.
GREAT commercial! It ought to be duplicated for every democrat running.
ReplyDeleteNicky Joe is prize either. He's firmly in the pocket of Big Coal. Still, better a nominal Dem than a Repugnican.
ReplyDeleteThis is the most hopeful news I have seen in quite some time. Hopefully it works and the tide will turn toward the Democrats taking back the House and keeping the Senate. All the Dems need to be Democrat Proud, if you will, and not back away from the things they believe in; helping those less fortunate and creating opportunity for all.
ReplyDeleteIt warms the Kockels of my heart to see these Kocksuckers in the news showing their underhanded and tyrannical behavior. I'll bet when they were kids they were the Kockiest little pricks in their class. It wouldn't surprise me if they enjoyed Kockfighting also too. I've also heard that most of the Palin women really enjoy Kochs. any of 'em, all of 'em.
ReplyDeleteYou know what I'd like to see? PACs taking down one-another in commercials... and I have just such a contestant in mind...
ReplyDeleteExcellent. And so it begins.
ReplyDeleteThat's how it's done! This should be a blueprint for all democrats running.
ReplyDeleteOne of the remaining unions here in MI has an ad for Gary Peters (running for Levin's Senate seat against Terry Lynn Land) that has Land in the foreground and the Kochs on either side of her. It's great! Her response ad has her awkwardly reading from a prompter about "War on Women?" and drinking coffee insisting that SHE knows more about women than Peters, because, see, she's one of us. She comes off as superior and wooden. Please proceed, Ms. Land.
ReplyDeleteThis is what needs to be done - again and again.
