Where the phrase, "You can't judge a book by its cover," comes from.
Remember if you had to wipe away a tear that does not mean you are soft.
It means you are human.
And these are the kinds of stories that make me proud to be a human being.
I'm not even sure I can type this as I can't see the keyboard for the tears running down my face. Forgive any typos. What an incredible, incredible man. Who said this? "You must be the change you want to see." So true here. I want to be Jim Connor. What an inspiration. Thank you for sharing.
I wish there were a Jim Connor for adults. I could use a hug right about now. Great man.

St Francis. Looks like a boys high school.
DeleteHis classroom is at St Frances High School. While I prefer the separation of religion, education and government, it is what it is.

Wonderful story, but I have to disagree with him on one thing. Learning should have an element of fun (especially math!). It IS fun to learn.
