Rally organizers believe that once they get to Washington they can intimidate President Obama into stepping down. That is unless he kills them with a drone attack.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

A spokesman for a group that hopes to oust President Barack Obama from office by rallying next week in Washington fears the president will attack participants with a drone strike.

Terry Trussell, chief of staff for Operation American Spring, told “Patriot Nation” radio host Mark Hoffman that organizers are “expecting the unexpected,” reported Right Wing Watch – including a possible drone strike.

The conservative radio host warned protesters to be prepared for the worst if they attended the May 16 rally, which organizers have claimed would draw 10 million – possibly even 30 million – participants.

“People are going to be down there for days, (and) I said you might want to bring a bug-out bag of sorts, because you never know what’s going to happen down there, you may have to run for your life,” Hoffman warned. “It may never happen, they just go peacefully, these guys may step down and we’ll all pat each other on the back and say ‘God bless America, let’s get back to the Constitution and move on.’” (Yes what a likely scenario THAT would be.)

But he still advised participants to bring emergency supplies, walkie-talkies, and stay in small groups to remain safe from pro-government agents.

“Get together and stay together and be safe, always keep your eyes open because I’m sure there’s going to be people from the liberal-left-progressive side, the Marxists, the anti-freedom and liberty people, in the crowd starting trouble, that’s almost a guarantee,” Hoffman said.

The organizer claims to have a deal with D.C. law enforcement to help deal with the "Marxists," however he does fear one thing.

The event organizer warned Obama that an attack on his opponents would most likely backfire.

“Now if something bigger happens, you know, they can pull in drones, but when the government destroys the capital just to get rid of us, I think it’s going to work to their discredit,” Trussell said.

Yes, of course the President would attack a group of protesters with a drone on American soil.  Because you know that would certainly be something that a constitutional professor would deem reasonable.

What a dipshit.

I can hardly wait to hear about the actual number that show up at this "rally." I would be really impressed if it attracted even a thousand people.

The fact that they are predicting in excess of 10 million shows how deeply deranged these people are.

Watching what is going on in the USA today - this, as well as the continued obstruction of our government by the Republicans in the United States Congress - reflects a 'minority' of the population being a sick part of our nation.

Poor President Obama! All of this because he is half black and half white and Hillary Clinton 'might' run for POTUS!

      I'm not a blood-thirsty person, but whenever I hear

Not accomplished by George W. Bush, Republican, who had more than seven years in which to accomplish what was one of his main arguments for our two disastrous wars.

Another talking point is Reagan's Beirut in 1983.

    Dear Mr. Trussell -

I know you didn't ask but I have a suggestion. Why don't you and the folks who are coming bring along your biggest, baddest guns. You can wear them slung over your shoulders or tucked into your (likely massive) waistbands. Head for a really pretty, wide street lined with cool buildings called Pennsylvania Avenue. When you get to the 1600 block you'll see a nice white house. Stop there. And then start chanting all the vile, racist, seditionist, tinfoil hat, end of the world crap that fuels your little band of merry men. Things should get really exciting really fast.

Have a great day. And good luck coming up with the bail money.

Republicans Sour On The Tea Party, Poll Shows

The number of Republicans who call themselves supporters of the tea party has dropped 20 points in the last four years, a new survey from Gallup has found.

The survey, released Thursday, found 41 percent of registered Republicans and Republican-leaning independents saying they support the tea party. This represents a steep drop from when Gallup previously asked the question in November 2010, at which point 61 percent of registered Republicans classified themselves as tea party supporters.

A 48-percent plurality of Republicans now either express no opinion or say they neither support nor oppose the tea party, a jump of 14 points since 2010. While Democrats and Democratic-leaners have grown more solidified in their opposition, they have not had as big a swing as GOP voters.

    Hillary: Guns and Benghazi

Even before we figure out the dynamic of the 2014 election, the 2016 race is taking shape nicely. Three events this week point to an emerging consensus about the presidential race.

The first is Hillary's carefully calibrated comment about gun legislation. She opined that the nation's gun culture has gotten "way out of balance" and we should counter the notion that "anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime." Put aside whether you agree or disagree. The real significance is what it tells us about her campaign. She's learned that her "president-in-waiting" strategy of 2008 left her vulnerable to a primary challenge from the left. No more backing away from the concerns of the Democratic base. She's leading the party, early, on the tough ones. If she continues, no one will touch her.

The second is the House Republican special committee on Benghazi, led by tea party favorite Trey Gowdy. Rep. Gowdy has been clear about who he's after: "I'm ready to send subpoenas to Hillary Clinton." Again, put aside whether there is anything to this manufactured hoo-hah. The House is spending time and political capital on attacking Hillary, for real. They've also figured out who they will face.

The third is the victory by mainstream right-winger Thom Tillis in the North Carolina Republican senatorial primary. He got the needed 40 percent against a particularly bizarre set of tea party opponents. Big corporate and establishment money apparently saved the GOP from another wacko Senate candidate. That's not to say Tillis was not pushed way, way to the right (he dutifully denied the existence of climate change). It's just we won't get as much "legitimate rape" and nostalgia for slavery. (North Carolina does sell license plates with the Confederate flag, though.) In 2014 and in 2016, swing states are not likely to veer to the right.

Put it all together and we have two party agreement that Hillary will be the Democratic candidate, that she understands the leftward shift in the Democratic Party, and the Republicans will have to come up with some damn thing to beat her. It won't be Benghazi but they're going to try all kinds of things.

It's by no means a settled dynamic.

Republican Kept Dead Mother Hidden In Freezer To Collect Her Social Security Checks

Republicans know a lot about defrauding government programs–after all, they tell us it is happening all the time. Jon Whiteford, for instance, kept his mother in a freezer for three years while he cashed her Social Security checks.

When the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office began to investigate what happened to his mother Faye Whiteford, her son dumped her body in an abandoned house and killed himself.

The investigation began when the Social Security Administration contacted Sheriff Todd Wood in February, spurring on an investigation into what happened to the elder Whiteford. The results of the investigation were chilling.

“Jon stored her in a freezer from 2011 until around Christmas of 2013 when he was forced to leave his home,” said Lt. Brett Whitaker of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.

During a later interview with Whiteford on March 29 at the house next door to his repossessed home, he pulled out a pistol and killed himself in front of a deputy.

“He just got himself into trouble, and once you do something like that, there is really no way out,” said Whiteford’s friend, Al Fried. “He couldn’t face it and that’s probably why he ended his life. He wasn’t a bad person, it’s just that he did one bad thing and from that one bad thing led to other bad things.”

Faye Whiteford’s body was found wrapped in a tarp in an abandoned Wayne County home on April 23.

Given his Second Amendment solution to the problem and his obvious expertise in defrauding the government, it is no surprise that Pulaski County voter registration records reveal that he votes Red.

In March, Maness drew criticism when he told The Hill that had he been in the Senate, he would have opposed Hurricane Katrina relief funding. He later clarified the statement to the Times-Picayune, saying he "would have been as strong as any advocate for aid for the people of Louisiana" after Katrina.

Maness also picked a fight with the incumbent Democratic senator after Landrieu referred to some of her colleagues on Capitol Hill as "obnoxious" last year. Maness took that to mean she believed all unpopular opinions were similarly obnoxious. Speaking to a conservative audience in November, Maness said Landrieu might take issue with his family's decision to name their dog after Abigail Adams, since she opposed slavery supported women's rights when they were "very unpopular ideas."

"...let’s get back to the Constitution and move on."

Right. Like any of these Schutzstaffel wannabes know what that is.

Their stupidity and paranoia are astonishing!! How do people get this way? Honestly, they need to be under a doctor's care because this is not normal. I suppose this is what happens when you watch Faux news day after day, year after year.

    Isn't this a great country?
You can dress up and go to the Capitol and wave signs around and call The President an idiot and EVERYTHING!

In what other country can one do that?

I don't see a problem with this bunch of goofballs making fools of themselves - lets just make sure we have plenty of cameras there to record it.

    ...unless they bring their guns.
    THEN we have a problem.

IF any of these bozos point a weapon at an officer of the law then they should be arrested, indicted and tried for it.

No exceptions - if they break the law they should go to jail.
    Period.

You can do that in every country.

The difference is that, in most other countries, you would end up in jail or the morgue. Or Siberia. (Do they still send dissidents to Siberia?)

POTUS will probably laugh his ass off in private and ignore them totally, leaving the heavy lifting to the blonde between two potted plants on Fox News.
