Two of the primary candidates that Sarah Palin endorsed won last night. Time for a victory lap. But wait, not so fast.

Last night Sarah Palin's star aligned and she got not one, but two points on her endorsement scorecard.

One was Nebraska Senate candidate Ben Sasse, pictured above, who also the Tea party and Ted Cruz favorite. (Sasse, by the way, is also the guy who believes that the government cannot force a citizen to violate their religious beliefs under ANY circumstances. So good news for honor killers, polygamists, and those in favor of clitoral circumcisions.)

And the other was Nebraska gubernatorial candidate Pete Ricketts, who was also endorsed by Ted Cruz.

Now after so many spankings during recent primaries you would expect Palin to be whooping it up and flashing Tea Party gang signs to her conservative peeps for the next several weeks.

And believe me she just might.

But, if that happens, then she opens herself up to all kinds of criticism and calls of hypocrisy for this statement after the LAST primary:

C’mon now, guys. This gloating among establishment Republicans calls for the same reprimand we parents offer 12-year-olds who scuffle on the playground. I often remind my young daughter, especially, after her ball games, of the importance of being considerate and gracious in both victory and defeat.

Congratulations to candidates in yesterday’s small pool of state primary elections who will now move on to their respective general elections. Now, knock off the gloating.

That's right. In her frustration over last week's loss Palin lashed out at those who she felt were mocking her candidates, and in so doing made a preemptive strike against HER ability to gloat about the still remaining ones that might eventually emerge victorious.

So at some point today Palin, who we all know is desperate to tout a victory, has to decide whether the media will overlook her remarks last week and let her get away with her hypocrisy, or if she simply releases some muted comment congratulating Sasse and Ricketts without spiking the ball and doing her end zone victory dance.

Gee let's see what happens.

Popcorn anybody?

Sasse claims that you can break the law if it conflicts with your religious beliefs. Does he realize that he has to include all religions, the ones that cut off the hands of a pickpocket-- the people who take peyote as part of their ritual beliefs-- the skinheads who will kill people they don't like because Sasse told them it was OK. What a jerk!

Sarah's newest butt boy is so fucking insane!

GOP favorite in Nebraska Senate race claims religious belief justifies breaking any law

According to ThinkProgress, the winner of Tuesday’s Republican primary in Nebraska believes that the United States “cannot force citizens to violate their religious beliefs under any circumstance.”

Republican “rising star” Ben Sasse is predicted to win the Senate seat being vacated by Republican Mike Johanns in November by a wide margin, as Nebraska is a solid red state. On his official campaign website, Sasse claims that he “believes that our right to the free exercise of religion is co-equal to our right to life. This is not a negotiable issue. Government cannot force citizens to violate their religious beliefs under any circumstances. He will fight for the right of all Americans to act in accordance with their conscience.”

As ThinkProgress’s Ian Millhiser and Josh Israel note, Sasse’s statement could allude to the upcoming Supreme Court decision as to whether Hobby Lobby can violate federal law if that law is not in accordance with the beliefs of its principle owners — a decision which the adamantly pro-life and virulently anti-Affordable Care Act candidate Sasse agrees. “Uncle Sam is in the abortion business for the first time in 41 years,” he wrote on Facebook. “It’s important to remind our neighbors of the urgency of standing up for the most vulnerable.”

Sasse’s belief that the government cannot compel a citizen to behave in a manner contrary to his or her religious beliefs “under any circumstances” goes even further. As Millhiser and Israel write, “[u]nder Sasse’s formulation of religious liberty, a person who killed his own sister because he believed he was under a religious obligation to do so would be immune from prosecution for murder.”

The effects of Sasse’s interpretation of the law would not be limited to birth control and honor-killings. “Under Sasse’s preferred rule,” Millhiser and Israel write, “a person who believes that they violate their religious beliefs if they are late to church could ignore the speed limit, traffic lights, and stop signs if obeying traffic laws would cause them to miss just one minute of their church’s Sunday service.”

Sasse also believes that the right to exercise lethal force to protect family and property “pre-dates Government”: “The Second Amendment affirms the rights of Americans to protect their families and property. This right pre-dates Government and is inviolable.”

Ooooohhh, can I have a church, please, please? I think I'll call it the Scared Spleen of Our Lady of What's Happening Now. Under our religious laws, my loyal parishioners and I will experience freedom, love, tolerance and a mandate to shove one Mr. Ben Sasse into a cardboard box (airholes optional) and ship him to the furthest country with strict Sharia laws. He should enjoy himself there. no?

Her followers are so fucking stupid that any so-called "victory lap" will hardly cause a ripple of cognitive dissonance in their underdeveloped minds. Also, Palin is enough of an idiot to brag about any minimal influence she has, so you can bet that the gloat fest is in the mail.

Honestly though, tacking your name to the ass of a winning horse is hardly political soothsaying, much less a legitimate proclamation of one's influence. She's a parasitic has-been "celebutard" and nothing more.

So true, but due to the many mental, ethical and educational limitations in $arah's pathetic world it's 'good enough' cause she isn't capable of doing any better.

You last paragraph contains a logical fallacy - it assumes that Sarah is capable of self-reflection -she is not.

She will respond with knee-jerk emotionalism and an eye towards any way to make it about her and her personal profit. Her handlers, if she has any left, will try to get her to watch her tone and content, but you know how well Sarah takes suggestions..

Why Gryph the old quitter is right back to the grifting business. A new SarahPAC video today featuring lots of screeching and dirty t-shirt wearing, and then this pops up at the PeePond, from some postage employee goes by Kennjac:

It's time to show Sarah that we have her back. Donate to SarahPAC today!! Any amount will do.

Since, incredibly enough, the collective IQ over there has actually gotten lower,(how about that T Bo?) they must be taking time off from the racist misogynistic screeds they pen to one another to scrounge around in the couch cushions.

That Sasse btw is one STRANGE dude.

We laugh at these crazies but the scary thing is that they are infiltrating our government at a rapid pace nationally. And they have been effective at introducing legislation that is backwards and hurts women and others. So, this isn't a joke. And I'm not sure everyone is taking this element as seriously as we should.

O/T but Bill Clinton Blasts Karl Rove: 'First They Said She Faked Her Concussion' — Now She's Auditioning For 'Walking Dead'

..."First they said she was faking her concussion. Now they say she's auditioning for a part on The Walking Dead," Bill Clinton said during a question-and-answer session the Peter G. Peterson Foundation's annual Fiscal Summit on Wednesday.

Bill Clinton said he was "sort of dumbfounded" by Rove's comments, but he expects them to continue as speculation stirs around a potential 2016 run for president by Hillary Clinton. He joked that he's "still waiting" for Republicans to "admit there was nothing to Whitewater."

"She works out every week, she is strong, she's doing great," Bill Clinton said of his wife's health. "As far as I can tell, she's in better shape than I am now."

Bill Clinton: 'Hillary Did What She Should Have Done' With Benghazi

...Former President Bill Clinton defended his wife's handling of the 2012 attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya in his remarks Peter G. Peterson Foundation's annual fiscal summit Wednesday. He said her establishment of a "high-level review committee" was the appropriate response to the attack, which left four Americans dead.

"In my opinion, Hillary did what she should have done," Clinton said.

She will gloat. What she said yesterday she erases in her mind and her narcissism is such that she believes what she says today will be believed as all that there ever was. She invents 'reality' as she goes along. She is a mentally ill person with a god complex.

She'd better not gloat - her Catholic base has all but turned on her for her statements regarding baptism. Many in her evangelical base are shocked and saddened at her refusal to apologize or explain her statements. The GOP are fed up with her as she pokes her nose and stirs the ugly mess that the RNC is trying to repair.

Fox not having her on after yesterday's victories tells that they aren't even impressed with her any more.

Sarah Palin Hits the Dumpster as Alaskans Prefer Hillary Clinton for President

-Alaskans don't have much to say for a potential Sarah Palin Presidential bid in 2016. Only 19% think she should seek the White House, compared to 74% who think she should sit it out. Even among Republicans just 24% want her to run while 70% believe she should take a pass. Palin is actually so weak that she would trail Hillary Clinton 44/41 in a hypothetical contest, even as the rest of the Republican field would lead Clinton. Mike Huckabee has a 43/42 advantage over her, Chris Christie is up 44/41, Rand Paul is up 46/40, and Jeb Bush is up 47/41.

Sasse's comment about breaking the law in following his religious belief opens the door for the extreme element of ANY religion to do the same thing. His comment does not apply only to Christians. Steal something, and you get your hand sliced off according to Sharia law.

In 6 days, there are more primaries where tea party loons are way behind.
Georgia and Kentucky are the most prominent where the tea party will flame out, along with Idaho and Oregon.
So any tea party victory laps this week ,
    will be short lived.
Nebraska may be their one and only win all season.

Why do thinking Conservatives and Independents LISTEN to Madame Steel Spine,?

    because

    *she loves America
*has a stellar, consistently conservative, FULLY TRANSPARENT (!!!) governing record... which MATCHES her Rhetoric
*she is an AWESOME Corruptocrat BUTTKICKER (YEAH)
*her JUDGEMENT wrt decision-making by Obama has been CORRECT, REPEATEDLY

and, like LTC Allen West, she has put the interests and welfare of her fellow Americans AHEAD of her own career

Watch the DVD Documentary "The Undefeated" to get the full story concerning Gov Sarah Palin's amazing tenure as AK Governor, from those who served with her ... because her detractors in the Permanent Political Class, from both private political parties, will try and distort her record ... she can't be bought off y'see, and is such a CORRUPTOCRAT Buttkicker! .... **__**
