South Dakota authorities on Wednesday arrested former U.S. Senate candidate Annette Bosworth, alleging she fraudulently attested to gathering voter signatures when she was really on a Christian mission trip to the Philippines.
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley charged Dr. Bosworth with six counts of perjury and six counts of filing false documents related to election campaign laws. The arrest warrant was served a day after Dr. Bosworth lost the Republican primary with just 6% of the vote.
An IM visitor sent me this article along with a reminder that we have discussed Bosworth on this blog before.
At the time we noted that Bosworth was being ridiculed in South Dakota for posting a selfie with Palin.
It should be noted that Palin never did officially endorse Bosworth (Apparently she could not come up with enough money?). However it seems the Palin curse is powerful enough to affect a candidate simply by standing too close to the Wasilla Wendigo.

ReplyDeleteAnswer: What truly honest, ethical candidate would want to be associated with Sarah Palin? Her demands are simple. Give her money so she can travel to one of your events. She will not be donating any money to your campaign, but she will lend her photogenic presence to one event of your choice, all expenses paid. Those who are truly needy might wish for some of the attention that Sarah brings. But, since she is such a laughing stock, I doubt that most candidates try to keep their distance from her.
