Well thank you Sarah I love my nation too. Though to be fair I was unaware they had elected you as their spokesperson.
Palin also included a picture of Todd with Trig and one of Chuck Sr. putting his hand over his heart in front of the Statue of Liberty, which sports a SarahPAC logo in the corner so the old fart can help to earn his keep.
However I chose to borrow the picture above, with all credit to Palin's Facebook page, because we have not seen Track in uniform in many, many moons.
I have to imagine that this is in response to all of the criticism she receives for calling her son a "combat veteran" when he is no longer active in the military and never saw any combat.
Clearly this is a picture that she has had for some time since Kyla Grace was born in 2011 and has surely not taken until 2014 to learn to walk.
And we know that Track was discharged in 2010 after serving only 2 years.
He also did not see any combat while in Iraq as indicated by the fact that he did not receive a Combat Infantry Badge which is automatic once a soldier engages in a firefight.
But nonetheless, I am sure that the low hanging fruit will eat all of this up with a spoon.
You know sometimes Sarah you can simply love your family without feeling the need to make up mythologies to cover for your embarrassment at how they turned out.
They should not all have to be combat veterans, book authors, or reality show stars in order to earn their parent's love.

DeleteTrack was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012. In the Reserves you can be called back to active duty. In the picture above, his rank is Sgt(E-5). Both times he went, he was assigned to an Infantry Regiment with the Military Occupational Specialty being 11B which is your basic infantry grunt. Your Palin Derangement Syndrome needs to be treated.

I was married to someone who did that constantly, and to people who knew better! Even embellishing MINE! So embarrassing. I never understood the need to embellish one's life to such extremes.
I have never understood such embellishment either. My ex did that and it seems it is a familial disease taught by parents. Honestly, when I sought info about Palin in public records it hit me she was one of those people who twists whatever she did to extremes. It wasn't enough to have gone hunting she had to take it to extremes she alone hunts all the protein they eat, cooks each morsel always yada yada. Lies are impressive to these people when factual truth and honesty would garner them far more. Lol like the nonexistent pipeline it was not enough to tell how instrumental she was or had vision for it in the future. Why slack when Track's unit returned a second time? Or was it a third time? How many times did Track deploy? How long was he in combat zones? Sarah's team is incompetent not to have a comprehensive wiki page or something that clarifies what Track Palin's service to his country was about. They have failed Track after all he's done for them. And, he fished on some ancestral fishing grounds for a few weeks in the summer. How long has it been since Todd had a real job, and excuse me, but how has he served his country?
Track did enlist, but he was pushed, he didn't exactly volunteer. What does he do now (besides hanging around the tool shop for a photo op?) Sarah had been planning to run for president the moment that she ran for governor. She lined all of her ducks up, a son in the service so she could wave the flag, wear the pin, brag about him instead of having to make excuses for him. (Yeah, tell me that vandalism thing didn't happen). Both Track and Trig were her ready made props. That's not exactly a real job, unless Track enjoys consultant's pay from the PAC. (Image, don't you know).

Undoubtedly she did it due to facing the courts. It is an improvement from when Bristol had no custody hearings scheduled. The lettering is perfect and who can draw stars like that so precisely and then color around them without messy looking pen strokes going every which way. I'm certainly no artist and maybe being too nitpicky but with this klan I doubt everything.
After seeing what some people put up at their graduation parties, I have no problem believing that's homemade. Since the world went online, it's become a competition almost to have great looking signs. The world's watching, you know?

DeleteWell, I'm not disputing your story outright, but one thing I learned administering the Hazelwood Act in Texas is that a soldier can have more than one DD214. The DD214 you posted is too small to read, but it's possible for him to be discharged from active duty but still have to spend time in the reserves. That should be in the tiny box section in the top half.

DeleteA couple of salient facts about Track being in uniform.
ReplyDelete1. That particular camouflage pattern is called OCP and is only authorized for use in Afghanistan. It was first authorized in 2010 for use by all US forces there and only there. A variation of it is on track (no pun intended) to be adopted for all US Army personnel regardless of location, however that is not official yet.
2. If this picture was taken since his apparent discharge in 2010 and he is no longer a member of any part of the Army including Guard or Reserve, then he is committing a crime. You cannot "pretend" to be something you are not, and wearing a complete uniform with full insignia when you are no longer authorized to do so is a Federal felony charge. Just like a policeman, you can't impersonate a member of the armed forces. Track would know this, but we know Mommy's needs come first and foremost...
3. If Trigg quietly re-enlisted, the command isn't going to go trumpeting it out loud to the world. Why would they? They don't do that for anyone, period. Furthermore, his enlistment should be able to be confirmed by the National Guard in Alaska (which I think is the most likely component he is in, not the Reserves).
4. Someone above doubted his ability to reach Sergeant (E-5) in two years. Yeah, that would be virtually impossible if someone has a spotty record and got out two years early. I would believe it after about 4 years of continued service. In my own military career, I went from an E-3 to an E-5 in 9 months, because a) I was very, very good at my job, and b) my particular occupation was critically short of personnel, so it was done as a retention measure. Given what little I know of Track, he doesn't exactly fit the profile of someone who is truly outstanding in his career and deserving of meritorious promotions.
4. As for drug use, Track may actually be clean now, if he is enlisted again. Military personnel are required to undergo regular routine screenings for all drug types, and users will be caught. The Army did allow the entire screening system to slip while both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were in full swing, but even with that issue drug use has not been what it was like back in the 70's and 80's.
5. I am not a troll. I sincerely hate $P just as much as anyone else here - she is a pox on our nation. But remember this: sometimes kids grow up to be better than their parents, and Track may yet come out from under $P's iron hand. People do sometimes redeem themselves.

DeleteThank you! I am not up on the military protocol. I do recall something about Track going into the service and it was alleged he went to Iraq. He returned and was to have completed that service. I think he was in the reserves. After he was in the states for awhile he decided he didn't want to drag out the reserves. He wanted to get it over with. He signed back up and was alleged to go to Afghanistan to complete his duties.
I don't know how much of what happened to him in the service was from his own merit. It may have been due to his mother's status and arrangements that were made for him. Criminals like the McCain's went to extremes using the military to create a false John McCain. The same could have been done for the Palins and their son. We know of a lieutenant that did a fake promotion about Track. The lieutenant claimed Track was in Iraq driving a vehicle for high up officers. That lie had to be taken back. We don't know all the other lies or fake set up scenes that could have been performed to create a fake image of Track Palin in the service.
Track Palin was to have returned from Afghanistan (I don't know the date). It has been a long while since he moved into the dead lake compound with his needy buddies.
About 6-17-2013 Sarah talks about Track and needy buddies living at the compound. He had been out of the service for awhile at that time. I think he was in Fairbanks for a short time, maybe Anchorage and then home with the parents.

Pfc. Track Palin barely spent any time alleged in Afghanistan.
It's hard to tell with subdued insignia and stripes, but I think Track should have more stripes for as much time as he's allegedly been in uniform. I'm not sure, because my husband was an officer, not enlisted, and I can't ask him because he's in a nursing home with vascular dementia and other health problems caused by Agent Orange, to which he was exposed as an Army Ranger in III Corps Tactical Zone in Vietnam 1969-70.
ReplyDeleteIf Track re-enlisted and subsequently earned a CIB (after his first discharge with no CIB on his DD-214), you can't see it in this photograph because he's holding the little girl against his chest where the badge would be sewn. These are given out now "like candy," according to older vets. Those who served in Iraq or Afghanistan at risk of a firefight or even at risk of encountering an IED, are now awarded the coveted man-badge. So those who return without one must have been assigned duties considered free of those risks.
As noted above by Jude above, No CIB on DD-214. CIB requires infantry MOS and a certain number of events under fire. As politically protected, he was apparently kept as palace guard and driver for Unit deputy commander. He served but should not really have PTSD. He did what he had to do in Middle East.
