Last night Jon Stewart challenged John McCain to a "wrong off." The loser has to spend "24 straight hours watching the person that he’s best known for unleashing on the world” Update!

On Fox News recently, John McCain told Howard Kurtz that Jon Stewart was unfair to Republicans, but that it didn’t matter because Stewart is merely one of those lying late-night comedians:

“When he says things that are absolutely wrong he gets away with it … It is what it is. I frankly have no beef with late night comedians who make fun of politicians. That’s the nature of the business.”

Well Jon Stewart will not let this aggression stand, man. Stewart was not about to take that sitting down, and offered to pit his own record of errors against McCain’s: “What do you say, Senator? Care to put your money where your forced smile through jaw-clenching anger is?”

And whoever was wrong most would have to spend “24 straight hours watching the person that he’s best known for unleashing on the world”

I'm sorry, I don't care what kind of torture John McCain endured in the "Hanoi Hilton" it will be as nothing when compared to the excruciating pain he would suffer while spending even 24 straight minutes listening to "The Wig that Killed the Republican Party."

Trust me I spend many brain cell murdering minutes transcribing her speeches and I can tell you that even three minutes in I am ready to volunteer my bank ID number, my Social Security number, and my most humiliating sexual experience to the first person willing to make it stop.

I say with all confidence that this would probably kill Senator John McCain.

Update: Apparently Stewart was not the only Comedy Central host to talk about the Wasilla Wendigo.

"I say with all confidence that this would kill Senator John McCain."

Couldn't happen to a more deserving idiot.

Forget ‘Ready for Hillary’—This Political Operative Is Pushing for a 2016 Elizabeth Warren Presidency

What was I saying just yesterday .... ?!
I think she has a real chance. She's young, healthy, committed, isn't in the pocket of Big Business (as Hillary is perceived to be).

    1. Warren may be a better candidate than Clinton for any number of reasons. But "young"? Clinton was born in 1946 (age 66) and warren was born in 1945 (age 65).

Warren's age contrasted with Clinton's is not really relevant since they are effectively the same age.

That is really rich. McCain saying that Stewart can say anything, and get away with it. What about little Johnny, EVERY Sunday, getting away with the crap he spews? He views himself as a "respected elder statesman" I see him as an old fool, strutting around like a bantam rooster.

Warren born June 22, 1949. Thus, just 65.

      Warren said she's not running.

    8. Warren might make a better president but Hillary is more electable.

Warren, as with many highly intelligent people, isn't so ambitious she wants to be president. Which makes her both smart and a great choice.

But as I said, if she runs, the Republicans have a chance to win and we cannot risk that.

      So it better be Hillary.

  3. More re Warren:
The senator has proven herself to be a stellar fundraiser and a standing-ovation-worthy headliner at events like last week’s Netroots Nation conference in Detroit, an annual gathering of liberal bloggers and activists.

Hell, I gave her some money! Just like I did Obama and he won. So....

BTW, I called the Jimmy "Peanut Farmer" Carter presidental win and won a $1 bet. Anybody want to take me on for re Warren? No? Didn't think so. She has a real change. She's a fresh face. If I still lived in America, I would campaign for her.

Although I think Senator Warren would make a fine VP or President, I hope she stays in the Senate.
      We need another Ted Kennedy.
Pelosi & Mikulski are getting close to retirement.
We need strong Senators to take their place and continue the fight for regular working Americans, and I think Senator Warren will do just that.

    2. Senator Warren can serve as well in the Senate as in the Presidency and perhaps even accomplish more.

      See Kennedy, Ted.

So agree with everyone above. I cringe a little when well-meaning folks try to recruit her as a presidential candidates so quickly. Gives the RW a head-start tearing her down as they already do for a living with anyone or anything liberal and Dem.

  4. Unfortunately, "Warren's backers have an uphill battle ahead of them. On July 21, three days after Ready for Warren launched their website, she told the Boston Globe, "There is no wiggle room. I am not running for president. No means no."

hmmmmm... what if she is drafted. She still has time. "Your country needs you, Liz!!"

Hillary and Liz need to run on the same ticket. They'd be dynamite and would win - the Republicans have no one that would begin to match them!

I'll bet McCain RUES the day he agreed to have Republicunt as his running mate. He has already asked if there isn't a statute of limitations on questions concerning her. He has also stated that his remarks are tempered for fear she'll come after him as well.

He should have mandatory 24 straight hours weekly for the torture he unleashed on this country. FOAD, senator!

‘True Blood’ plan to troll Republicans succeeds beautifully as Sarah Palin takes the bait

Although not mentioned by name on a recent episode of HBO‘s True Blood, which featured two lead characters attending a GOP fundraiser for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, media personality Sarah Palin inserted herself into the discussion by criticizing the show for being part of the “real war on women.”

In the episode, characters Eric Northman and Pam De Beaufort dress up to attend the Cruz fundraiser in Dallas at the George W. Bush Library. Admiring herself in the mirror, Pam remarks, “Oh my God. I’m a Republic*nt!”

In an interview with her sometimes home, Breitbart.com, Palin took exception to the episode after being told about it.

    1. The insufferable witch is trying too hard to make the "war on women" a liberal/dem/progressive war when in fact like everything else she say is just plain wrong. she believes that making fun of her stupidass is a war on ALL women.

If stupid were a pig she would wear lipstick and say I'm not a pig I'm Pam Anderson. she ain't fooling anyone. Keep trying wanky skanky.

Does she really believe she isn't politically correct? Oh really now. Tell that to Bashir, Letterman, Maher and a whole lot of other folks she got her ridiculous, nasty skidmark draws in a knot.

BTW only a stupid fool would argue, using her fakebook page, about a fictional character. she has done that before with "The Family Guy{'s}." she pitched a shit fit because a cartoon character said the most dreaded word in the universe, retarded.

The retard needs to get a life and stop learning the Spanish language by reading Taco Bell bags. And stop insulting the refugees with your limited, fargo Spanish. Dumbest witch on the earth.

Every time that McCain tries to sell us another war, he should be reminded of his very bad judgement in picking Palin as someone qualified to run for VP. She wasn't qualified to be Governor of Alaska. Her staff did all the work for her, and after two years of that hard word, she quit. As city manager of a small town, she left the town $20 million in debt and needed to hire a city manager. Those facts should have disqualified her from consideration, along with Troopergate and her general lack of knowledge about anything. They say that McCain is a high stakes gambler. Sarah Palin was one of his biggest gambles and he lost, big time!

Anon at 2:56 pm. John McCain should also be reminded, every time he wants to bomb a country - about once a week, of his recklessness as a Navy pilot and of the planes he crashed and the lives lost. What a jerk that man is! And to think, that on top of all that, he singlehandedly foisted Sarah Palin on an unsuspecting America. She should never have been allowed out of Alaska. Can't we stuff her back in her box and put McCain in with her?

I love that both these comedians "went there". McCain is too chickenshit to take him up on the waterboarding... er offer. One thing for sure, there will be Rorschach tests with a photo of John McCain and the answer will always be "Sarah Palin". She's become the poster child for stupidity, and no one can take that away from her.

    John Stewart is brilliant.

I love the "forced smile through jaw-clenching anger" that describes McCain so perfectly. In my opinion McCain is just an egocentric who thinks he deserves better than others, and has better ideas than others, for no other reason than being McCain.

If he hadn't been a white male, and married to two women who made his political career happen through their devotion for the first wife, and money and connections for the second, he would just be another failed and bitter retiree by now. He wouldn't have got a political carreer on his own merit alone, that's for sure : making adapted and balanced decisions is not his forte !

But he made it big, and instead of thanking those amazing women for their help, the anger-driven old fool still complains it's not enough and nobody's been fair !
