Since you all seemed to enjoy those pictures of Alaska's Byron Glacier the other day, feast your eyes on this.

From the You Tube page:

A montage of the beautiful scenery and life of Alaska in the middle of July. Filmed around Anchorage and the Kenai Penninsula.

Somebody wanted to know if I ever traveled around to visit other places.

Would you?

Oh, I don't know. Yosemite and Yellowstone are fairly magnificent.

It's beautiful but I would still travel to see other places if I could. There are many other beautiful places both in this country and in many others.

Colorado is just as beautiful. We don't have the ocean or salmon, but have some real good trout! Winters are much nicer too. Best skiing in the world! Mountains are magnificent! People are sane and wonderful! Our governors don't quit and they don't speak word salad. :-) We have sunshine all winter, also, too!

Raw and unspoiled natural beauty! Are you really really sure you don't have a seed of faith in a personal creator, G.?

Damn what an ignorant fool you are. There is no creator. Science has proven things like volcanic eruptions and tectonic plate shifts created the mountain ranges around the world, while water eroded land to which gave us the great canyons. I feel sorry for you and your closed mind finger in ears beliefs. Btw, once upon a time the world was flat in bible speak

Yes, I would and did. There are many wonderful, beautiful places to visit in this country. Alaska is beautiful, but not for me. I need more sunlight, the percentage of gray days you have isn't my cup of tea. It's one reason I moved to Hawaii. Until you've visited here, you've missed a lot.

The comments I've seen so far make me think that Alaaaaaaska is still suffering from the Sarah Paaaaaaaalin effect. Add to that the incredible overexposure of the place by roughest, toughest, extreme exploitation TV shows.

Alaska is incredible - I've called it home for more than 30 years now. But even I got sick listening to Palin 'brag' about a place that she can no longer legally call home. And the unreality shows are just sad.

Repill the tax credit! and STFU Sarah.

I have been to every State except Alaska and Hawaii. I don't have much interest in Hawaii, but I have always wanted to go to Alaska. Actually, I applied for a job in Barrow, Bethel and Kotzebue some years back and even had a couple of phone interviews, but no job. But Alaska is on my bucket list. Hopefully, I will make it up there before I kick the bucket.
