Courtesy of the Miami Herald:
A driver says George Zimmerman threatened to kill him, asking 'Do you know who I am?' during a road confrontation in their vehicles, a police spokeswoman said Friday.
The driver, 35-year-old Matthew Apperson, told Lake Mary police officers that a passenger in a truck stopped at a light next to his car on a busy street in this Orlando suburb, rolled down his window and yelled, "Hey, what's your problem? Why you shaking your finger?"
Apperson said he was listening to music with his windows rolled up at the time, and that the passenger's yelling was unprovoked.
The truck's driver then asked Apperson, "Do you know who I am?" according to a police report. Apperson said he believed it was Zimmerman.
"George Zimmerman was the driver, and they were threatening to kick my ass and to shoot me," Apperson told a police dispatcher in a 911 call.
Gee I had no idea that Zimmerman was even part of the Palin family.
Seriously what is it with these notorious assholes expecting people to be impressed with them?
I think that this should be the final star that sees Zimmerman do some damn jail time.
It seems like just a matter of time before some unarmed individual minding their own business actually gets shot.
You know, again.
I just saw that - Palin & Zimmerman - who'd have thought they were two of a kind
ReplyDeleteHe can do what he wants, the courts already said he can do what he wants including committing murder without being held responsible.
ReplyDeleteThat's about the size of it. And if last month is any indication (and it is), it seems like a whole chunk of other people can do this, too.

ReplyDeleteThe ‘responsible gun owner’- passenger decided that this was a good time to run away, apparently with gun in hand.

o/t, but Faux News is in a real quandary: if they accurately report the Palin brawl story, they risk losing what few viewers they have left: their viewers are mostly Palin worshippers.
ReplyDeleteAnother point: there is a major missing component to the brawl story: an apology of any sort from any Palin. IOW, it's business as usual from the Palins: inflict damage on others, plead victimhood, try to make money from your bad behavior, and never, ever apologize.
But now the whole world can see this. And the entire world KNOWS that the GOP was STUPID enough to choose this evil, illiterate fraud as a VICE-PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE. To the entire world outside the US, this is not just a gossip story, it is a news verification of just how stupid, evil, near-sighted ("Oh, gee, we thought no one would notice!"), slimy, and amoral the GOP really is. After this story is discussed in detail on worldwide news networks, I have to wonder: how would ANY future GOP president repair the damage, be taken seriously, be respected, or be believed . . . . about ANYTHING???????? After all, there isn't all THAT much distance between this can of worms and the clown car that is currently called the GOP House of Representatives. Re-invent their image??? Nuh-uh, GOP, it's waaaaaay too late for that. The entire world knows just exactly who and what you are. And the Palin family and Palin brawl are merely the best personification, the very epitome, of that.
Rush Limbaugh: Doing Something About Domestic Violence Will ‘Chickify’ NFL Games (AUDIO)
ReplyDeletehttp://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/09/12/rush-limbaugh-doing-something-about-domestic-violence-will-chickify-nfl-games-audio/
So it's MANLY to beat the shit out of woman, Rush? Seriously?
So it seems to me that some enterprising person could blow this asshole away and saying, quite convincingly, that he/she was in fear of their life. Who would doubt it?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Lynne, and there WILL someone who will. Pardon my language, but what a p*ick.
DeleteAh yes, sometimes while being stuck in traffic here in Florida my mind wanders and I start day-dreaming...."what if?" What IF, by chance he crossed my path & began harassing me on the road, went into full road rage? What IF I had my handgun (legal carry) and PMS? Being a Stand Your Ground state, well.....oh, traffics moving, fantasy over. A girl can dream, right?
DeleteSince, and even before he gunned down 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, who was unarmed, Zimmerman continues to have a long and complicated relationship with law enforcement.
ReplyDeleteIn 2005, long before he shot Martin, Zimmerman was accused of assaulting a police officer who was attempting to arrest Zimmerman’s friend and in the same year, his fiancé at the time, filed a restraining order against him for alleged domestic violence. He did attend anger management classes, but served no time in jail.
After being acquitted, Zimmerman and his wife, Shellie were involved in a domestic dispute in which he allegedly threatened both her and her father. No charges were filed.
He has also been pulled over three times since his acquittal. During one stop, he had a gun in the glovebox of his car.

Just the sight of him makes my blood run cold. Hey, Chinny, I hear he's "Available", just sayin', the clock is ticking and I'm worried you'll be an old maid.
ReplyDeleteThe scariest part of this story is that later, the driver looks out the window at HIS JOB, and Zimmerman is sitting in the parking lot, watching him.
ReplyDeleteWhy he isn't pressing charges is beyond me. I never thought I'd wish someone carried a gun, but this in situation it might be a good idea. As long as he knows how to shoot.
He is a seriously deranged and dangerous personality. Who dies next?
ReplyDeletemy money's on zimmerman dies next ..
DeleteMe, too, and he knows it.

ReplyDeleteINTERESTING
DeleteI live in this area and just mentioned to my husband a few days ago that we haven't heard anything from Zimmerman in a while. It's like you can smell it coming. I wonder also why this guy did not want to press charges - is it because he doesn't want to be smeared and/or ambushed by the Fox crew? If they ambushed me, I would answer every question with "Andrea Mackris"! This is getting so ridiculous, Geogie is a loose cannon!
ReplyDeleteFellow Floridian here Anon 8:10 and I have to agree I can't imagine myself not using what resources I have available to me under the law, if I actually felt threatened.
DeleteI would be more scared of the Z Man than a Fox news crew (or any news crew).
It seems to me a bizarro world where a guy who has been known to carry guns and has shot and killed someone seems less of a threat than a guy (or gal) with a microphone asking you to answer a question.
MarvinM
o/t, but there are currently 769.000 separate entries on google for 'Palin brawl', almost double the number of earlier in the day. This story has real legs, but exponentially so now that Palin buddy McKenna fired his employee for merely truthfully answering questions about the incident, which he himself witnessed. Everyone who watches TV, and the media itself, should already be familiar with Sarah's repeated cries about First Amendment rights ("freedoms!") of people who wish to speak the truth without reprisal. Now the shoe is on the other foot, and Sarah will be held to her own standard. This story is not going away, particularly now that it is known how much the McKenna family profited for its paving contracts during Palin's political tenure. It's going to be a very interesting week next week, to say the least: even Fox News is carrying the story now.
ReplyDeleteThey both shouted "Do you know who I was??!!??"
ReplyDeleteSomeone is most certainly going to pop a cap in his ass. One day he's going to harass the wrong person and then it's lights out.
ReplyDeleteIt's so obvious now, with all of his post-Trayvon-murder bad behavior that Zimmerman is guilty as hell and murdered that boy in cold blood. He's an obvious psychopath with a terrible temper.
I knew from the start that he murdered that child in cold blood. Trayvon was minding his own business walking home, and that murderer Zimmerman chased him down, picked a fight with him, and then shot him.
DeleteThe police, the so-called prosecutor, that disgraceful jury, all denied justice to Trayvon, and let his murderer go free. The prosecutor did not try to win that case.
Florida is a cess pool.
If killer George kills again, I hold all those jackasses in Florida (the police, the prosecutor, the jury) responsible.
The second he said " do you know who I am " I would have taken that as a direct threat and shot his fat ass dead as 4pm Sunday in Valdosta Ga.
ReplyDeleteAny detail on those McKenna contracts?
