Jeb Bush's son says that it is more than likely that his dad will run in 2016. Oh joy.

I'm baaack.
Courtesy of CBC News:

Jeb Bush's son said it's "more than likely" his dad will run for president in 2016 in an interview that aired Sunday.

George P. Bush, Jeb Bush's eldest son, was interviewed by ABC News. The younger Bush is knee-deep in his own campaign this year, running for Texas land commissioner.

ABC's Jon Karl asked Bush whether his father is running for president.

"I think he's still assessing it," Bush said, offering the same demurral his father and other members of his family have given in recent months.

When Karl pressed Bush to offer a specific probability, Bush said, "It's more than likely that he's giving this a serious thought...and moving forward."

"More than likely that he'll run?" Karl asked.

"That he'll run," Bush responded. "If you had asked me a few years back, I would have said it was less likely." He added that if his father does decide to run, "The family will be behind him 100 percent."

Well since you would have had to have been in a coma the last two years not to realize that Hillary Clinton is also running in 2016, that means, if Jeb's son is accurate, that 2016 will be the battle of the presidential dynasties.

As much as we may all want newer blood in the White House the fact is that we are going to be witnessing yet another clash of the titans.

And lucky us we will all get to watch the past scandals of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush dredged up and splattered across our TV and computer screens for probably several months or more.

Personally I think in this day and age that hearing the conservatives trying to use Bill's sexcapades with Monica Lewsinky to hijack the "War on Women" and use it against the Democrats, will have a significantly smaller impact than seeing all of George Bush's lies and manipulations that he used to get us into two unnecessary wars trotted out for the voters to revisit.

But of course I am a Liberal and I would not vote for another Bush even under threat of torture. Which is ANOTHER thing Americans did under a Bush administration.

Does no one named Bush ever get a real job? Talk about entitled elitists.

What about his well-known affair with a female member of his cabinet?

If anyone wants the real story on the Bush dynasty they need to read up on the activities of the father and grandfather. None of the Bush family have the best interests of this country at heart.

Yeah, but Jeb's going to finish all the things that George W. didn't, right? (Take that "finish" and "things" with a grain of salt.)

Will America withstand the jEB-OLA plague? Bush vs Clinton crime family candidates = the birth of a viable third party.
Jill Stein - Rocky Anderson - Bernie Sanders ....
Hell, Willard looks better than Jeb or Shrillary - that is sad and tragic.

      Really?
And you'd rather have Mitt Romney than her?
No thanks to you or your impotent third party.

Yup. We're supposed to look back and see the Bush years of 2001 to 2009 as some kind of glowing glorious time. Well, it wasn't and if the American people are so stupid that they'll forget the damage done by the Bush son who was foisted on us (by Judge Scalia), then we're lost. Forever.

I bet the GOP thinks he can win over Hispanic voters because he's married to a Latina....and he's not batshit crazy like the teabaggers.
I never voted for Poppy Bush and never voted for Georgie Porgie Bush and I certainly won't vote for Jeb Bush.

  9. Considering the dangerously nutty Republican potential candidates, should the dreadful possibility that one of them becomes President, Jeb Bush is the only one that wouldn't have me screaming toward the border. The man's intelligent, isn't a gun nut, religious nut, climate denier. He's the only one with any sanity and intelligence. His brother George was a joke, was never meant to be President, was just a fluke. Jeb is genuine candidate with at least some smarts, dignity, and devotion to governing.

I mean, really, look at the other possibilities! Yes, he's a Republican, but at least not a complete loon. (What a criteria for Republican candidate for President...the least loony. Well, it's come to that.)

Jeb was one of the architects of the Iraq-Afghanistan wars before 9/11. He delivered, as he promised, the election to big brother W. The big money banks, wall street want him, but if they can't have him. they have said they will support Shrillary. As long as Shrillary runs, the argument that we have had enough of familial political dynasties is voided and can't be used to say we have Bush fatigue - bankers to the Nazis, CIA assassins, Iran-Contra druggies, war mongers.

And the housing/mortgage crisis began in Florida - in 2006. Jeb was governor then and did nothing to get help from his brother, George W. Nothing to get his brother to rein in the banks. Nothing. He also was not good for education in Florida. And never forget that he gave Florida to his brother in 2000.

Sam I share your views on this.

Consider the alternatives to Jeb Bush:

Ted Rafael Cruz: A radical and hate filled fringe right Christian Jihadist from Canada, who thought nothing of costing us all 24 billion by shutting down the government. Ted is a viciously militant and extremist theocrat who would appoint court judges to the right of Pat Buchanan.

Rick Santorum: Another Christian militant who would even try to ban birth control, and who publicly said that President Obama was a snob for trying to get student loan costs for college under control

Mike Huckabee: Another Christian Taliban idiot who once proclaimed that he would like to force all Americans (AT GUN POINT) to listen to discredited pseudo historian David Barton's teachings on the founding fathers.

Michelle Bachmann? $arah Palin? Two of the most extreme fringe ignorant pandering god botherers to ever come down the pike

      "Herb" (mistress hider) Cain?

Rick Perry? Yet another extremist Christian hard core fanatic

Mitt Romney? No chance he'd get nominated

Newt (Philanderer) Gingrich? washed up and too many scandals.

In contrast, and in spite of the travesty of W Bush's 8 years, Jeb almost seems like a normal human.

One bit of schadenfreude though, which is how much fun it would be to read C4pee if Jeb gets the nomination.

The Palinbot worshipers like StLouisX, Theresa, Bri-anus, and many others would positively be foaming at the mouth and having catanotic fits that their idol Queen Esther the Brawler was yet again cast aside

      HOOHAAH $arah, and remember BrawlGhazi!!
