Ready for Hillary, the quasi-official Clinton shadow campaign PAC, took in more than $2 million in the third quarter of the year, according to the group. That’s slightly less than the previous quarter as the group winds down its activities in anticipation of an official Clinton campaign launch.
The group has raised more than $10.25 million since it formed in early 2013, and raked in $2.5 million in the previous quarter.
Continuing to expand its grassroots fundraising base, Ready for Hillary brought more than 21,000 new donors into the fold over the past three months. Of its more than 38,000 contributions during the quarter, 98% were for less than $100. The average contribution was $52.
I find that to be a rather incredible level of grassroots support for a candidate who has yet to even commit to a run in 2016.
If free speech and money really were the same thing, like the Republicans seem to want us to believe, then there would be an almost deafening roar of "Hillary in 2016" drowning out all of the other political talk right now.
By the way, and I know this is not fair, but compare the information above with the last quarter report from the PAC supporting the best known female politician from that other party.
(I know, I'm a stinker.)
When I watch President Obama being savaged by the right AND the left it makes me scratch my head and wonder why Hillary Clinton would want to put herself in that same position. It is difficult to understand how President Obama, who has accomplished so much even with the current obstructionist congress, has such low approval ratings.
ReplyDeleteNow for a bit of fun: notice which prominent(?) republican is missing from this cartoon http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/toles/?hpid=z3

I am just appalled at how President Obama is mistreated by some of our fellow Democrats. They did not treat the Bushes or Clinton, or any other president with such disrespect as they have treated President Obama.
I have yet to see or hear ANY Democratic politician come to the defense of President Obama's defense EXCEPT the governor of Massachusetts, Deval Patrick, who is Black, the Congressional Black Caucus, and other Democratic Black politicians.
It has really soured me, and given me a wake-up call, about the racism that still lives in our nation.
Not fair?! Of course it is, Gryph, compare away! I still laugh that the 4pees think their queen grifter is the only one that can beat Hillary. HAH! Just wait until she backs out of 2016 like she did in 2012, the coward. The pees down in PeeVille will all cry BOO HOO! Apologies to Dr, Seuss......
ReplyDeleteGo, Hill, Go!
Now, you know good and well that that grifter thug Palin, and her thuggish family will never run for president. Rest assured it will never happen.
DeleteYep, and no amount of rosaries or bible passages will make it so.
DeleteAlthough I am a die-hard Democrat, I will find it hard to vote for Hillary because of how her people mistreated then -Senator Barack Obama, during the 2008 presidential contest. Mistreatment is an understatement, mind you.

She's NOT a politician...she has no real responsibility or accountability. She is NOTHING more than a shameless grifter.
Totally agree 6:07 AM Palin is not a politician, entertainer, successful reality show maker, comedian, Christian etc. She is nothing more than a flunkeeee from Wasilla, AK!
DeleteNothing like raising money for Hillary when what is REALLY needed is support for all the senate candidates for 2014.
ReplyDeleteUnimpressive and I doubt she'll win in 2016 - money or no money.
President Obama taught folks about grass roots support - not for many many years - if ever - will a politician get the level of support he has/had from the grass roots of the party.
She will have my vote. Think it neat that two President Clinton's would be occupying the White House! The Republicans have no one to put up against her!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why Hillary Clinton would want to put herself in the position of candidate for POTUS and then POTUS (because I'm sure, in the end, she would be elected).
ReplyDeleteThe scrutiny she'll be under will be exactly as we've been watching w/President Obama. But, it will be different because she is a woman. Discrimination again, but in a different way.
Mrs. Clinton has a lot of experience in politics - much more than did President Obama. She's not afraid of the Republicans - she's seen their horrible actions many times in her history of politics!
There is no doubt, too, that President and Mrs. Clinton have enemies - but, they know who they are and will be well prepared. I have no doubt!
I honestly don't think she'll put up w/the bullshit that the media and Republicans put out there.
I'll probably hold hold my nose and vote for her if she is nominated.........but something about her makes me queasy........just sayin'
ReplyDeleteThat explains this snake that has emerged from the tall grass!

Anyone else find the timing of this a bit strange? Yeah, Monica Sweetie, women fall in love with their bosses, it happens every day. What a shame your boss was the President. Who paid you to open your mouth now? The Kochbrothers? Whose your boss now? You poor victim with stars in her eyes who fell in love with a married boss then got all weak in the knees then paid for Linda Tripp's plastic surgery. Are you two still friends?
