You know I'm just never going to understand this.

  1. That's because, if one actually reads the Bible, prayer is for guidance and strength only--never for intercession.

I pray that your source hurry's up and comes out, before Sarah has a chance to raise any SarahPac money and gain anything from her little "seriously interested" bullcrap.

"I just want to hear you beg.."
    Oh, and money...
    I want your money too.
Just give it to one of my representatives:
Pat Robertson, Joel Osteen, Billy Graham Jr.
    ...any of those guys.

After all, you can't get into Heaven unless you pay up!

Yup, give them that old time religion (old testament section). Gawd is a sadist. Whip, lash, more, please, Sir.

Ok, G., you know all those idiots we read about every day in the news? They're all part of the universe. They're the ones who brag about praying, and asking, and receiving, but they'd rather not ask for anything wise, like, giving more wisdom to help their fellow man and such.

It's not God's fault if people are asking for bling, fame, rights, guns and greed and more stuff. They're using Him as a way to gain temporal things on earth, but, He doesn't suffer that. It's about setting treasures in heaven, not here. A lot of people who say we have to beg, are the ones who ask for stupid things and He ignores the stupid from those who say they're called Christians.

If people would be satisfied and content with things and showed some appreciation more, and cared about those less fortunate, maybe they wouldn't have to beg. At least I know that God is just and doesn't lie, ever.

Do us a favor please? Learn to read. The OT is FULL of crap where your so-called god ORDERS death and destruction. He treated those people like trash and ordered all sorts of death and pain and fear and agony - both physical and mental. There isn't a "cide" in the language that isn't somewhere in the OT. You know, Homicide, Genocide, infanticide....

      Give me a break

And before you say that Jesus never taught that, don't waste your breath. As long as the OT is part of your book, it WILL be taught and used as an excuse for all the vile things YOU claim aren't taught.

When I pray it's to give thanks for getting through another week. I don't ask for shit. There are other things for him/her/it to be amused by. I don't want to take up their time.

Remember the old joke about the man who daily prays to the statue of Mary asking to win the lottery. Finally, after several years of this the statue comes to life and say's, "please, please, please - go buy a lottery ticket".

I can't help but think that God's angles are constantly face palming over the silliness of their "flock". But then again, they are sheep.

idk. I've seen people dying on hospital beds and their families put out prayer requests and an hour later, there's 500% improvement in conditions.

Positive energy is said to be healing.

Otto @644am, well put. I'm pretty sure it's all supposed to be about that, to start with.

I am ashamed of myself because the idea on the shirt is so simple and clear that I never thought of it myself. Effing brilliant!

Ah yes, the old "suffering brings you closer to God" excuse. I see photos of Jesus on toast, Virgin Mary in window film, etc etc etc. The closest I ever got was an image of "The road runner" in the sunlit oil stain in the driveway, the problem was, you had to squint a certain way and all the conditions had to be right, but I swear it was him!!
