I have to say, even though I knew it was coming, it hit me kind of hard.

Jon Stewart managed in his half-hour "comedy" show to impart more real information than all of the other "news" shows combined, five nights a week.

You are correct, it is comedy. 98% of it is political news done in jest. However, any unbiased, clear-thinking person realizes that politics is a game. There was no analysis of policy, just bits to strike an emotional reaction from the viewer, and yes, humorously. I will give it credit for getting you humorless, dour, sour-pussed socialists and Marxist Culturists to crack a smile occasionally.

Oh 8:50 AM honey, the day that I become a "humorless, dour, sour-pussed socialist and Marxist Culturist" will STILL be before your birthday girl is ever elected President, let alone run.

      Run along now, toots.

Well, this bit of preening gasbaggery certainly made me laugh out loud. Well done!

Everyone knows conservatives, corporatists, and reactionaries have the best senses of humor!

In case anyone is wondering, "cultural Marxism" is an historically and still vaguely anti-Jewish phrase.

And, of course, the socialists and Marxist Jews who came to America at the turn of the last century brought with them a whole lot of funny. So, WOW, 8:50 really doesn't know what he's talking about.

It didn't help that his live audience had no idea what was coming. Can you imagine the shock?

I'm sure as soon as The Palin releases some snark on the lamestream media for not calling him a "quitter" she'll submit her demo reel. You've got to admit, laughs-wise hers would be a contender. -Just not for the reasons SHE'd think.

The pee ponders have added his name to the list of 'enemies' that Sarah Palin has 'outlasted' (others include Martin Bashir, Keith Olbermann, and Katie Couric). Give them another 24 hours, and they'll be spinning it that she forced him to quit

Outlasted?!? She's been yesterday's news for years.

Considering that Sarah Palin lost in 2008 and quit shortly after that, she hasn't outlasted anyone.
