David Wildstein |
David Wildstein, a key figure in the Bridgegate scandal, today pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy in connection with the politically-motivated lane closures at the George Washington Bridge in 2013.
Two others — Bill Baroni, former Port Authority deputy executive director, and Bridget Anne Kelly, a former deputy chief of staff to Gov. Chris Christie — have been indicted.
Ooooh! I had started to think that perhaps this whole thing was dead in the water.
Instead that might be an apt description for Chris Christie's future political aspirations.
The attorney for David Wildstein, Alan Zegas, today repeated the claim that Gov. Chris Christie was aware of the plan to close access lanes to the George Washington Bridge.
Yep, might be.
Of course Christie was quick to deny any culpability.
I had no knowledge or involvement in the planning or execution of this act.

Uh huh.Gee, I want to believe him. But.....
Bridget Anne Kelly also came out swinging today:
A defiant Bridget Anne Kelly on Friday denied charges she was one of the masterminds behind the George Washington Bridge lane closures that have dogged the administration of her former boss, Gov. Chris Christie.
"I am not guilty of the crimes for which I have been accused," Kelly said during a press conference with her attorney, Michael Critchley, after prosecutors unsealed a nine-count federal indictment.
"David Wildstein is a liar," Kelly said.
Really? But what about this email from Kelly dated August 13, 2013?
"Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee."
So who's the liar again?
Well I for one am going to stock up on popcorn, because THIS looks like it is going to be highly entertaining.
Where are the charges against the Port Authority Police for conspiracy? They were the ones acting on secondary orders from the PAP union involved in the payback!
ReplyDeleteThis has a very long way to go. Fishman is excellent at keeping his activities confidential. Instead of saying "tighter than a fish's ass" in NJ legal circles they say "tighter than Fishman's ass". He gives nothing away.
DeleteChristie is going down! He'll never be president, that's a forgone conclusion and he'll never get skinny either! Go home Chris.
ReplyDeleteWith any amount of good luck for us, he won't be ABLE to go home!
Deletewhich brings me to ask.....how did Wildstein get so thin??? He really looks ill. Is somebody poisoning his food to keep him from testifying?
DeleteKrispy Kreme is packing his Soap on a Rope getting ready for a stay at Hotel Greybar....
DeleteForget about the White House!
Of course Christie knew about the plan. Christie is a typical arrogant bully and now he's going to be exposed. He should be indicted also.
ReplyDeleteNew Jersey U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman smells kinda fishy.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ibtimes.com/bridgegate-prosecutor-defends-independence-his-office-1905405
Without reading whatever shit you posted, Paul Fishman has always been and is still known for the integrity of his office. UNLIKE Christie.
DeleteGood luck with whatever shit you're posting.
Fishman said no Christie-appointed lawyers worked on the case; the Christie appointee who was publicly thanked for his work on the case was not a lawyer. Not really smelling a lot of fishy here, myself...
DeleteHis corpulence tweeted that he didn't know? He HAD to know. Hey, huskie, you want to run fifty two states, yet you have no clue what was going on in your own? Got some news for you, the fish rots from the head down, these are your people, and you had no idea? Dude, get your eyes checked, you couldn't hold a phone while downing a brontorsaurus burger and an xxl soft drink? Oh well, you got to meet Obama and Broooce Springsteen. That's got to me a mitigating factor, right?
ReplyDeleteYo, Marypat! I found pugsley's homework in the crease above my belly button!!!
thanks for that chuckle
DeleteAfter Today’s Indictments Chris Christie’s Bridge To The White House Has Been Closed
ReplyDeleteChristie tried to spin the charges against his allies into a political claim of innocence, but the truth is that Chris Christie is toast.
Henry Enten at FiveThirtyEight looked at the data and found that there has never been a party nominee in recent history who was as well known and disliked as Chris Christie:

Thanks for the link. I love me some RMM!
DeleteI don't know that Wildstein would be unfairly pointing a finger at his co-conspirator Innocent Little Bridgette. There's plenty of guilt to go around and she is the one after all that gave the game away with her big mouth.
ReplyDeleteI really want to see Baroni go down. He's a bad dude in a different way to the other two. If Baroni goes down there's more chance of getting those other crooks.
I was so hoping Christie would be indicted but it looks like he's getting away with his involvement in Bridgegate. Fishman said they know there were other conspirators but they won't be indicted. Apparently, there's not enough evidence to bring the others to trial.
ReplyDeleteUPDATED: BridgeGhazi Guilty Plea WAS First Shoe To Drop
ReplyDeleteMay 1, 2012, 2:00pmEST — We predicted that David Wildstein’s guilty plea on two counts of conspiracy in l’affaire BridgeGhazi would be the first shoe to drop. We were right:

Yep, The low hanging fruit are all going to get plea deals for singing like canaries and then Krispy Kreme will go down...
DeleteI've gotta admit I am enjoying watching that fat turd go down. And the bridge closure is just the tip of the iceberg. There's way worse indictments yet to come in the Sandy money scandal, the whole real estate deal with Samson and the misuse of the GW bridge funds. I hope we see Christie doing the perp walk before long.
ReplyDeleteBetter call roto rooter!~ A turd THAT BIG ain't going down without some hep!
DeleteThis is going to make an excellent mini series down the track, even better than American Hustle. Go Jersey!
ReplyDeleteIt will be a full length feature film called "The Blobfather".
DeleteWhy is it that the head honchos in all of these R scandals aren't indicted? Kochtapus involvement?
ReplyDeleteThere are two options and neither one makes Christie look good
ReplyDelete1) he had no idea what his people were doing and thus he is an incompetent Governor
2) He knew and supported it.
Yeah, same as all those CEOs who never had any idea that crime was happening underneath them...Enron, for example.
DeleteThat would either make them a hands-off, laid-back executive, which we all know isn't true, or totally incompetent, which is also unlikely.
They always designate a hatchet man to do the dirty work so they can feign ignorance.
there is a lot more wrong with that state and that administration, especially when it comes to the Sandy relief billions.
