Let's take a moment to step over Jebbie's still smoldering corpse and take a peek inside that GOP clown car to see which sacrificial lamb has the best chance of making it to the top of that political altar, shall we?
According to the newest PPP Poll (Wait is that too many P's? I always use too many P's.) it looks like the Republican with the best chance might be Wisconsin's Scott Walker. (And by "best chance" I mean really no chance at all.)
Here is more courtesy of PPP:
Walker's at 18% to 13% for Marco Rubio, 12% each for Ben Carson and Mike Huckabee, 11% for Jeb Bush, 10% for Ted Cruz, 9% for Rand Paul, 5% for Chris Christie, and 2% for Rick Perry. This is the third national poll in a row where we've found Walker ahead but he was at 25% in late February and declined to 20% and now 18% on the two subsequent surveys.
So Walker leads the pack (Just barely.) but has been steadily losing steam for the last several polls.
Not an encouraging sign.
Apparently the two that have shown some improvement are Mike Huckabee with a 6% increase and Marco Rubio with a 7% increase.(However does anybody really think that the Huckster and Mr. Thirsty really have a shot here?)
And the two that are taking it in the shorts are Jeb Bush (And this was before this most recent Iraq War gaffe.) and Ted Cruz, who both dropped 6%.
I want to say that this all looks pretty pathetic but I hate to associate that poor word with these idiots.
Let's take a look at the Democratic side of the aisle shall we?
On the Democratic side Hillary Clinton leads with 63% to 13% for Bernie Sanders, 6% for Jim Webb, 5% for Lincoln Chafee, and 2% for Martin O'Malley. Clinton's over 60% with liberals, moderates, women, whites, African Americans, and seniors and is at least over 50% with men, Hispanics, and young voters.
To sum up, the highest polling numbers for a candidate on the GOP side is 18%, and that's dropping like a rock, and Hillary's numbers are still over 60% with virtually every demographic except white men (Though she's still hanging tough at 50%.), and that's AFTER the so-called e-mail scandal and the first anti-Clinton book has made the rounds.
Yeah I think my advice to Republican voters this time around is to drink heavily.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Ted Cruz will never head this country. The "split" pees, and they are over this, will never see $arah either although I would sure love to see her attempt it; there's not enough drugs in the world to get her through it.
ReplyDeleteWould I EVER love to see Hillary in a one on one debate with $arah. There's just not enough popcorn for it!
How would a debate like that even be possible?
DeleteWell BOARDING the KLOWN Car....
ReplyDeletetomorrow Bolton, don't know who he is but he is a Con and a R sooooooo....

That pic above says it all....
Hey G can you put tweet button on your blog? My sharing button went cray-cray so I took it off.
Now its hard to tweet out your blog posts.
NO MORE BUSHES!
ReplyDeleteIt is becoming increasingly evident to me that the republican party is still enjoying their tea party. The crazy is energized and as incomprehensibly deluded as ever. It will be a 1964 election again as the John Birch Society will be running their candidate against a measured and rational candidate on the other side.
ReplyDeleteBolton is a neocon who entirely supported the Iraq War and would love to mix another one up with Iran in his lifetime. Another loser.
ReplyDeleteCertain elements of the neocon war machine are backing Bolton. Other factions of that war machine are backing Cruz. America. can. not. handle. another war. period. Getting our a***s handed to us royally and big-time in the middle east a third time around, in broad daylight and for no immediately necessary reason is not gonna happen if those who have any power and an ounce of sanity (including our military leaders) have anything to say about it.
DeleteWe talk about Jeb being the same as a third term of the Shrub. But either Cruz or Bolton would also be the same as a third term of the Shrub. The GOP simply has no other mantra, no other program, no other acts, no other talking points, no other mindset, and no other agenda. IOW, pillage the world (both here and globally) and reward the 1% at home is the sum. total. of all they have.
Like Hillary, the support and all.
DeleteNot like Hillary. She has admitted tat her vote was a mistake, based on lies. Did she start a war as Sec. of State? Nope.Hillary is heads and tails smarter than anyone in the GOP, knows and has met every world leader, has been more places than anyone in the world, and understands the political nuances the GOP can only dream about. Listen to her interview with Charlie Rose on history and current events and then name one other person as well-read and intelligent as she is.
DeleteWisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and his non-campaign campaign team continue to find new ways to embarrass themselves. Today’s lesson in failure got a fact of basic American history wrong.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politicususa.com/2015/05/13/scott-walker-humiliates-basic-american-history-wrong.html
The problem is none of that will penetrate the thick skulls of anyone who would vote for him in the first place and he'll have the Koch's blessing. This election scares the hell out of me. Another fucking war no way Jose but it could very well happen.
DeleteJeb Bush Breaks Campaign Finance Laws By Admitting That He’s Running For President
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politicususa.com/2015/05/13/jeb-bush-breaks-campaign-finance-laws-admitting-running-president.html
So Jeb Bush is a lying crook? Anyone surprised?
DeleteHe misunderstood the question.
DeleteJeb: Answering That Iraq Question Would Be A ‘Disservice’ To The Troops
ReplyDeleteFormer Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) on Wednesday said that he has refused to answer whether he would order the Iraq War knowing what he knows now, because it would disrespect the troops, according to CNN.
CNN's political director David Chalian posted a series of tweets on Wednesday about Bush answering a voter during an event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The person asked Bush to clarify his statements this week on whether, knowing what he knows now, he would have invaded Iraq if he were President in 2003, as his brother President George W. Bush did.
When first asked the question by Fox News host Megyn Kelly this week, Bush said, "I would have." Several days later, after taking heat from the left and the right, Bush said he had "interpreted the question wrong."
"If we are going to get into hypotheticals, I think it does a lot of disservice for a lot of people who sacrificed a lot," Bush said, according to Chalian's tweets.
"Going back in time, does a disservice for them," he said, according to Chalian.

Rand Paul To Jeb Bush: 'Invading Iraq Was A Mistake' — Even As A Hypothetical
ReplyDeletehttp://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/rand-paul-jeb-bush-iraq-war
Too little, too late, Randy. The GOP thinks Bush the 2nd is a war hero, and Jebbie thought he'd just tap into that sentiment. Trouble is, the GOP is shrinking, and when Fox calls you stupid for supporting that war, well, you're toast.
DeletePoll: Walker Leads Among Those Who Buy Into Texas Military Takeover
ReplyDeletehttp://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/ppp-jade-helm-15-rick-perry
Meaning, when translated into statistics: Walker is currently the favorite of the dumbest one-third of the republican party. That same one-third still cling to the strong belief that Obama was born in Kenya and is a Muslim. They also believe that all current white racism in America is Obama's fault. Real brainiacs, that group.

ReplyDeleteIf It Were Just About The Issues, Bernie Sanders Would Win In A Landslide
http://www.addictinginfo.org/2015/05/13/if-it-were-just-about-the-issues-bernie-sanders-would-win-in-a-landslide/
Unfortunately it hasn't been about just the issues in over a century.
DeletePity. Bernie would make a wonderful President.
If not V.P. could he be Secretary of State?
This is like total deja vu of 2008. Same losing bunch of clowns. The republicans have lost the people. They serve citizen united. Don't vote for one republican at city county state or federal level. They lie to your face and will say anything. Don't trust a republican, they do not represent you.
ReplyDeleteLol. Okaaaay.
DeleteYes--they got Mitt Romney because he was the least objectionable of all the clowns in the clown car. Not because he was competent or anything.
Delete10:04-- Now, there's a supremely articulate political argument.
DeleteI think they know no matter who they put up they'll lose. So they're going to sacrifice a place maker who has no chance of winning now or in the future. They'll save any future potential candidates for 2020 or even 2024.
DeleteI just heard a great joke on Letterman. Speaking of the possibility of Bill Clinton living in the White House again while someone else runs the country, Letterman quipped, "it's a situation similar to GWB"! Suck on that Republicans!
ReplyDeleteHuffington post has an article: College kid vents on Jeb Bush "your brother created ISIS"....with a few more choice words...ouch! Now we are hitting the motherloade of truth! Follow the arms deals...must be the money!
ReplyDeleteOMG. How must it feel to be ranked below Ben Carson by your own party? As for Jeb's "disservice to the troops" bullshit, admitting the Iraq war was a mistake is not a disservice - sending troops to Iraq was a disservice, and I'm pretty sure they figured that out a very long time ago. The four largest wars of my lifetime: Viet Nam, the Gulf War, Afghanistan, and Iraq were all needless, and three of the four have the Bush name stamped all over them. The fact that another Bush can poll ahead of anyone is pathetic.
ReplyDeleteJeb never really had a chance. He can thank George for that.
DeleteI don't think Jeb is done....he's got the GOP establishment money behind him so he will rise like a Phoenix just as McCain did in 2008 (hope he has a better pick for VP). Cruz and Walker will give Jeb some competition in the primaries but their results in the debates will come back to haunt them. This will lead to another Dem victory for POTUS in 2016. The far right will really scream about always putting a not- conservative-enough candidate after three losing campaigns in a row in the battle for the White House and finally make their case to put a "Goldwater" conservative to head the GOP ticket. By that time....either 2020 or 2024.....the demographics will be so overwhelmingly against them, the GOP will suffer a major landslide loss. The GOP will cease to be a party and split into multiple factions. .
ReplyDeleteWell stated and probably correct.
DeleteWell, Sarah Palin is still sitting on the bench. When will they put her in the game? Maybe when the score is 100 to 0 and they need a Hail Sarah!
ReplyDeleteShe's waiting for the call to run as a VP wannabee again. All the action (and money) and none of the work. All she has to do to be president is have the president die.
DeleteBut there is no way Sarah will run for anything again. She can't handle the pressure, the exposure/transparency or the questions. Any questions. I doubt she could answer "what did you have for breakfast this morning?"
"She's waiting for the call to run as a VP wannabee again. All the action (and money) and <>i<>none of the work."
Delete--------------------------
I believe you are exactly right, mlaiuppa.
My head is still spinning from the concept that the "frontrunner" is just the guy who's support is eroding the SLOWEST...
ReplyDeleteWay to race for the bottom, GOP!
'Your brother created ISIS!'
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nytimes.com/politics/first-draft/2015/05/13/college-student-to-jeb-bush-your-brother-created-isis/?_r=0
Oh, just wait until Scotty declares and starts campaigning. His numbers will swirl down the toilet too.
ReplyDeleteOh, look who doesn't watch The Daily Show.
Deletewww.huffingtonpost.com/2015/05/14/wisconsin-food-stamps_n_7283654.html
Scotty Walker is going to restrict what SNAP can eat and tell them where to pee because he thinks all those lazy moochers are buying lobster and taking drugs, because, you know, OBAMA!
So not presidential material.
And he's wasting time and money because there is not way to enforce such a law because it violates Federal SNAP laws.
"Few of the proposed rules are likely to take effect. Even if the state Senate passes the bills, federal law doesn't give states leeway to restrict SNAP purchases to certain foods, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture has denied waivers to states that have asked. Federal law also doesn't allow for SNAP drug testing, "
But never mind. He's running for president and that'll show 'em he means bizness.
Gryphen, you have no idea how desperate the GOP is.
ReplyDeleteBut I know. How do I know, you ask?
Because, I, Beldar J. Conehead, have been asked to run for presdient on the Republican ticket in 2016.
I told them they are insane. I told them I hate virtually every Republican Ive ever encountered and intensely dislike the rest of them.
They told me they don't care. They even offered me a teenage prostitute in exchange for my candidacy.
I told them I'm unqualified to lead this country in every possible way.
They told me they don't care and showed me a coloring book called "The League of Extraordinarily Inadequate Gentlemen. And Ladies, Also Too." which featured every awful GOP politician who ran, won or lost their bid to be the most powerful leader in the world in the past 40 years. From Ronald Reagan to Thad "THAD!" McCotter and then back to Reagan. It's an eye-opener. And a fun book for the kids to color...
They begged me to think about it and I told them I would. But I won't accept their offer or their prostitutes. (Whats with the GOP and hookers?????)
Anyway, Gryphen, if you think you'd like to run for president on the GOP ticket, I could give them your name when I officially decline, if that's actually your real name, of course, which almost everyone pretty much knows for certain, it is not.
He changed his mind today, or lets say, someone told him he looks like a bumbling idiot. He misunderstood the question because, you know, english and all. Today he says if we knew then what we knew then, we would not have gone into iraq. See? He just put the sticky side of the band aid facing up and it made his pea brain rattle in his skull.
ReplyDeleteHey Jebbie, where ya been the past 16 years? Welcome to America, your job was to prepare specifically for this question, because of your last name matching your brothers, and you felled miserably. Next question. What have you read over the years to prepare you for this job?
What could anyone expect JEB to say? After all, he's got to sit at holiday meals with his ne'er do well brother.
