A little perspective.
Personally I find this somewhat humbling.
However I consider myself lucky to have ever spent time in the top portion of the hourglass, making it harder to regret my eventual tumble into the bottom.
I'm reminded somewhat of a bumper sticker I saw once: "Its not that life is short; its that you're dead for so long." Meh... Enjoy every breath, you never know when you'll take your last.
My husband requested one song when we renewed our vows on our 25th Anniversary, "Who Wants To Live Forever?" By Queen. Seeing that chart really drives it home for me.

Damn, heaven must be crowded. And I bet the airlines offer crappy service and no meals when visiting other dead relatives.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the point?

ReplyDeleteIs your husband a Highlander fan?
DeleteOf course, anything with Queen's music or Rush in it and he's there.
