Jeb Bush is outraged (Outraged I say!) over Donald Trump's disrespect for John McCain's military service. Seemed less so when it was John Kerry being disrespected.

So as you can see Jebbie is livid that "The Donald" would suggest that John McCain should not be considered a hero because he was a POW during the Vietnam War.

And that should be admirable.

Except for the fact that Jebbie sent this letter to the men calling into question the heroism that earned John Kerry's a Silver Star during the same war.

So to be clear, it is outrageous that people would dismiss John McCain's heroism over the fact that he was captured by the enemy, but suggesting that John Kerry did not earn his medals while fighting for his country is perfectly reasonable.

Did I get that right?

      The Trashing of John McCain

      http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2004/11/mccain200411

Bush Waged Nasty Smear Campaign Against McCain in 2000

Bush Supporters Called McCain “The Fag Candidate.” In South Carolina, Bush supporters circulated church fliers that labeled McCain “the fag candidate.” Columnist Frank Rich noted that the fliers were distributed “even as Bush subtly reinforced that message by indicating he wouldn’t hire openly gay people for his administration.”

McCain Slurs Included Illegitimate Children, Homosexuality And A Drug-Addict Wife.
Among the rumors circulated against McCain in 2000 in South Carolina was that his adopted Bangladeshi daughter was actually black, that McCain was both gay and cheated on his wife, and that his wife Cindy was a drug addict.”

Bush Campaign Used Code Words to Question McCain’s Temper.

“A smear campaign of the ugliest sort is now coursing through the contest for the presidency in 2000. Using the code word "temper," a group of Senate Republicans, and at least some outriders of the George W. Bush campaign, are spreading the word that John McCain is unstable. The subtext, also suggested in this whispering campaign, is that he returned from 5 1/2 years as a POW in North Vietnam with a loose screw. And it is bruited about that he shouldn't be entrusted with nuclear weapons.”

      Bush Supporters Questioned McCain’s Sanity.
“Some of George W. Bush's supporters have questioned Republican presidential candidate John McCain's fitness for the White House, suggesting that his five years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam drove him insane at the time.”

Bush Supporters Spread Racist Rumors About McCain’s Daughter.
Bush supporters in South Carolina made race-baiting phone calls saying that McCain had a “black child.” The McCains’ daughter, Bridget, was adopted from Mother Teresa’s orphanage in Bangladesh. In August 2000, columnist Maureen Dowd wrote that the McCains “are still seething about Bush supporters in South Carolina spreading word of their dark-skinned adopted daughter.”

Rove Suggests Former POW McCain Committed Treason and Fathered Child With Black Prostitute.
In 2000, McCain operatives in SC accused Rove of spreading rumors against McCain, such as “suggestions that McCain had committed treason while a prisoner of war, and had fathered a child by a black prostitute,” according to the New Yorker.

And McCain hired the same people when he ran with Palin. Bridgett got tossed under the bus because he wanted to win at any cost.

  3. I hope Jebnie's letter gets spread far and wide. What was done to Kerry was despicable. That the GOP are all standing up for McCain is hypocritical. All veterans deserve our respect. Especially from those that "we're doing other things" when they COULD have served.

I am sick of reading/hearing about the war hero McCain.

When will we start mentioning the other Americans who were capture and held prisoner?

John McCain WAS NOT the only American POW held captive. McCain and his apologist, the republicans and what passes for media continuing to parrot the "HE was a POW hero" .

Officially, 661 recognized American POWs were returned. ALL of them endured sickness, starvation, and torture.

What really did McCain do to make him a war hero? What about the hundreds of other Americans who were captured and held prisoner by North Vietnam? What were they, reality show contestants on the McCain show?

Why aren’t the 661 returned POWs ever mentioned? Why are they not touted as war heroes? Not a word from the hacks and w****s in the media? It is as if these people never existed.

Why have these POWs been ignored and disrespected? Why have their families been ignored and disrespected?

What if your father, husband, brother, uncle had been held captive, tortured, starved, maimed for life, only to return to be ignored and disrespected and be confined down the memory hole?

Personally, I despise John McCain for his voting against every major bill that would have benefited both the veterans and active duty personnel.

P.S. Google how Senator McCain treated the family members of those MIA when they were seeking to find out if their husbands, sons, brothers, uncles and friends might still be alive in NV as was reported.

If little Johnny was such a herom WHY are his military records sealed? What is hidden in them? If his father and grandfather had not been high ranking naval officers, the little prick would have been court martialed for his behaviour. He should pay back taxpayers for the 5 military jets he destroyed.

HiIlarious, now she is a medical assistant!!!

Baby's first selfie! Pregnant with her second child, Bristol Palin is all about documenting her 2015 milestones on Instagram. Last week, the Wasilla, Alaska, native got to celebrate two major moments: Six years at her job, and her first baby bump selfie.

On July 13, Palin, 24, took a selfie in the dermatology office where she works as a medical assistant, showing off a hint of her still tiny baby bump. Wearing a white blouse and a long coat, Palin pouted her lips in the mirror photo. (Look closely: Her iPhone case features a photo of son Tripp, 6!)

What a bunch of nonsense! I'd hardly call that a baby bump. Obviously the grifter's daughter can't stand the non-attention so she's sucking up to the tabloids, as usual. Damn, she is so her mother's daughter, isn't she. Pumping out babies and that's pretty much it for her.

Gryphen is the one that posted that image a while back, anyway.

Exactly. No one in the Republican party was outraged when John Kerry was swift-boated. No, they went along with it and they all joined in the lies.

The R's are getting exactly what they deserve in Trump. They created the atmosphere in which a fellow like Trump can thrive. And of course, Trump is playing the media like a finely tuned violin.

It all started last week when McCain called out Trump for bringing out the crazies (I guess McCain wasn't around when people were yelling to kill Obama at the Palin rallies, eh?).

However, as a veteran, I find it disturbing that anyone makes light of someone's service to their country.

The strangest line to me is the one that says we should respect our "ethical" veterans and military personnel. What the hell does that mean? Does she want to exempt Kerry from respect because he isn't "ethical"? And this comes from the ignoramus who doesn't have an ethical bone in her hideously bony body.

Finally the GOP is getting a taste of their own medicine and after they start whining, they want an apology.

They don't have a problem disrespecting Pres. Obama, they were happy to smear John Kerry, but how dare you say anything bad about a republican.

I think it is about time the tables are turned and I hope Trump keeps it up. Wonder if McCain also sent a letter congratulating the swift-boaters?

This is the real reason the GOP is worried about The Donald:

Poll Finds That If Trump Runs As An Independent, Democrats Will Win In A Landslide

The new ABC News/Washington Post poll found that if Donald Trump follows through on his threats to run as an Independent, he will be handing the White House to the Democratic nominee.

    According to ABC News:

In a general election trial heat, Clinton leads Bush, the GOP fundraising leader, by a slight 50-44 percent among registered voters. But with Trump as an independent candidate that goes to 46-30-20 percent, Clinton-Bush-Trump – with Trump drawing support disproportionately from Bush, turning a 6-point Clinton advantage into 16 points.

Trump’s support in this three-way matchup was 21 percent from Thursday to Saturday, vs. 13 percent in Sunday interviews.

Donald Trump support did drop in the national poll after he attacked John McCain, but a Trump third-party candidacy could set up a reply of the 1992 presidential election. 2016 could feature a Clinton, a Bush, and a crazy rich guy running as an Independent.

The Republican Party will already begin 2016 in a big Electoral College hole. Statistically speaking, the GOP will already require a dramatic shift in the electorate to win the White House. A Trump third-party candidacy of modest popularity would make the election unwinnable for the Republican nominee.

Donald Trump is not a serious threat to win the Republican nomination, but if he stays in the upper tier of candidates through the early primaries, Trump and his ego could launch an independent bid for the White House.

Some Republicans already believe that Trump is a Democratic plant that has been sent to destroy their party, but Republicans created Trump as a political entity, and it would only be right if he ended up costing them any chance of taking back the White House.
