Wisconsin man arrested for threatening to kill President Obama.

Courtesy of CNN:

A criminal complaint and arrest warrant were issued Thursday against a 55-year-old Tomah, Wisconsin man accused of threatening to kill President Barack Obama.

Brian D. Dutcher, 55, allegedly told a security guard at a La Crosse library, "the usurper is here and if I get a chance I'll take him out and I'll take the shot," referring to Obama, who was in Wisconsin promoting his proposal for overtime pay reform.

According to the warrant, Dutcher confirmed in an interview with the Secret Service that he made the remarks to the security guard.

The warrant also says Dutcher posted on Facebook on June 30 "that's it! Thursday I will be in La Crosse. Hopefully I will get a clear shot at the pretend president. Killing him is our CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY!"

Dutcher also told a La Crosse detective that his threat was serious and that "he would not have said what he said if he didn't intend to carry it out."

He thinks killing the President is his "constitutional duty?"

I think that tells us all we need to know to understand where this guy gets his information.

Here's my prediction. If anything happens to our President, and there is ANY evidence to suggest that the killer received his inspiration from Fox News, conservative talk radio, or Right Wing internet sites, the lives of the people responsible for that misinformation will not be worth a plugged nickel.

I am not in the habit of making threats, but in my opinion the anger that would result from the death of this great man would burn across this country like a white hot flame. And woe to anyone who found themselves in its path.

    2. Virginia Gentleman calls for a second amendment solution and for armed insurrection every other day, at least. And his imaginary Special Forces/Seal friend "Ases" (whom I am convinced is a sock puppet) has been posting the most loathsome things about the President, his Commander in Chief. If Ases really is in the military, his posts are even more disgraceful than they would be coming from an ordinary citizen.

I was concerned last Friday when they were all in Charleston for Rev. Pinckney's funeral, especially with the shoddy job the Secret Service has done guarding this President. That eulogy was one of the best sermons I've ever heard, and I think Obama's election and presidency and survival are true examples of the "amazing grace" of which he spoke. (Yes, I'm a Christian.) I was in rural South Carolina over the weekend, and people were raving about him at various places where I stopped.

This is just one of the crazies going on in this Nazi Republican run state.

Yesterday, Scott Walker and his Nazi Joint Finance Committee slipped this little beauty into their State Budget in the middle of the night.

"A vote by Wisconsin's budget committee to dismantle the state's open records laws has caused an uproar across the Badger State.
Under these measures, lawmakers would be able to draft bills in secret and hide their communications from the public. The changes would also apply to local government officials, including school board members".

Does anyone here think Scott Walker should be President?

It all started 35 years ago when Reagan closed down all the mental health institutions because it was costing us too much to house and treat people with mental health issues. Take that plus a steady diet of right wing rhetoric 24/7/365 from Fox and all similar rwnjs and you have 55 - year old Brian D. Dutcher. An angry, white rwnj who is obviously suffering from some type of mental illness. I'm just thankful he told the security guard of his intentions and the secret service took action. Lately the secret service agents have been known to not take their jobs too seriously.

I recall very well when Reagan shut down the hospitals. There was one in Modesto. The patients had no where to go and so many ended up on the streets. At that time I worked at a State office downtown (EDD) and daily we would have many of them just lined up against the walls. If it was summer they were there to escape the heat and if it was winter it was because of the cold, rainy weather. It was heartbreaking.

On behalf of the mentally ill who are your co-workers, neighbors, etc.: Unless you are a psychiatrist, please refrain from making a knee-jerk diagnosis of "mental illness" whenever someone acts outside your comfort zone. A threat to the President is real. No disagreement there. Whether or not the person making the threat has a mental illness is not for a casual reader to decide.

So true! Imagine using the word “usurper” it sounds so ... Glenn Beck. I can just hear Beck going off again about how his life is in danger and hopping his listeners up on hate. It is astonishing to me how many middle-age white guys in my little Alaska town listen to him. I notice something that sets them apart from most rational people: they seem to have incredibly boring and hopeless lives (and jobs), are usually divorced from wives who finally said no to their alcoholism, anger issues, etc. To quiet the voices of failure they listen to Glenn Beck. Beck feeds on this type of rage and disappointment.

The white supremacist who designed the Confederacy’s flag(s), one William T. Thompson, gave the definitive reason why every Republican, KKK member, and so-called Southern heritage advocate still supports flying that symbol of treason and racism. Thompson was proud to admit that “As a people we are fighting to maintain the heavenly ordained supremacy of the white man over the inferior or colored race; a white flag would thus be emblematical of our cause. Such a flag would be a suitable emblem of our young confederacy, and sustained by the brave hearts and strong arms of the south, it would soon take rank among the proudest ensigns of the nations, and be hailed by the civilized world as THE WHITE MAN’S FLAG.”

I'm appalled daily at seeing the meanness that is displayed toward this particular POTUS. It makes me angry and very disheartened as to our country and other Americans!

President Obama has done an outstanding job throughout his near completed second term. I could not be more proud of him, VP Joe Biden and his Administration. Plus, I have nothing but love for both of them and their families.

There will be hell to pay should something every happen to President Obama or any of his family! There are a zillion Americans that would come to their protection should anyone harm them.

Dutcher told a La Crosse police detective that his threat was serious, and he would not have said what he said if he didn’t intend to carry it out, the affidavit states.

The threat was not publicly visible on Dutcher’s Facebook page on Thursday, but he did comment to friends in another post: “I have been praying on going to D.C. for 3 months and now the upsurper is coming HERE. saving me a 800 mile trip. doing what I do for my daughter, so she can live free. pray for me to succeed in my mission.”

He added, “secret service is probably tracking my phone right now. I do not hide what I am doing, CONSTITUTIONALY.”

Charles Dutcher said his brother Brian has been estranged from the family for years.

“They need to put him somewhere where he can get help with his mental issues,” Charles Dutcher said.

Did you wonder just how racism would rear its ugly head against the first black President?
Racism is is not so overt these days. I didn't expect the Klan to march on the White House with their hoods on. I didn't expect racists to be calling the President of the United States a nigger. I didn't expect business owners to not admit him inside their businesses.
Racists are more backhanded these days. Questioning his birthright, in the face of clear evidence, that he is American born. Just a little slap, to let him know they don't think he is REALLY American, as they feel other blacks are not really American.
Claiming he is a Muslim, when that is totally untrue. Why? Could it be that Americans have a negative connotation of Muslims since 2001?
Don't kid yourself, these are racists. They use different tactics in the 21st century.
Calling him Socialist, Communist, Hitler and every other name in the book, is just another way to try and define him as sub-human.
    Call these racists, racists!
Don't let them get away with some bullshit explanations like, "we are just asking legitimate questions." Bullshit!
