According to Rasmussen poll most Republicans think Donald Trump will be their nominee in 2016.

Courtesy of Rasmussen Reports:

Our latest national telephone survey finds that 57% of Likely Republican Voters now think Trump is likely to be the Republican presidential nominee next year, with 25% who say it’s Very Likely. That compares to 27% who felt a Trump nomination was likely two months ago when he formally announced his presidential bid, a finding that included just nine percent (9%) who said it was Very Likely.

At that time, Trump ran near the bottom among the 12 declared GOP candidates. Now he leads the pack of Republican hopefuls which has grown to include 17 prominent contenders.

Among all likely voters, 49% think Trump is likely to be the Republican nominee, including 17% who say it’s Very Likely. That compares to 23% and seven percent (7%) respectively in the earlier survey. Forty-eight percent (48%) now say Trump is not likely to win the nomination, with 21% who feel it is Not At All Likely.

The poll goes on to say that 42% of Republican voters DON'T think Trump will be their candidate.

According to recent polling among the GOP candidates Trump is leading by double digits, so it makes sense that the Republican voters think he has this thing in the bag.

You know who it must suck to be right now?

Jeb Bush.

Here Jeb thought all he had to do was bide his time until the GOP clown car careened off the cliff leaving him the last one standing, and now he finds himself stuck in the back seat while the vehicle is being driven by a mad man who seems intent on taking the whole lot of them over the cliff with him.

Jeb Bush is a millionaire who is NOT going to have to deal with Congress, Iran, North Korea and a tanking Chinese economy for four years -- pretty sure he's lucky.

I agree. Why does he even want to run for President? Is Big Brother George teasing him or something?

And Donnie Trump is an opportunistic asshole who thinks he can gain SOMETHING from pretending to run for president! Too bad those republican voters just don't get it.

Is it getting this bad? Flailing in the polls and struggling to find a rationale for his candidacy, is Jeb Bush suggesting he may be black? Judd Legum at ThinkProgress points out that the Jeb SuperPac 'Right to Rise' has just blanketed Iowa with a mailer in which Jeb's head appears to be photoshopped on to a black man's body.

A Jeb Bush-supporting Super Pac has issued a campaign leaflet which appears to show the Republican presidential candidate with one white hand and one black.

Here's why Donald Trump won't win the Republican presidential nomination

How meaningful is Donald Trump’s impressive lead in the polls, really? Not very meaningful, think most people in the know.

...Trump is performing miserably in the “invisible primary” race for endorsements. An interactive endorsement tracker built by FiveThiryEight has former Florida governor Jeb Bush in the lead and Trump not even on the list. A tally by the New York Times also has Bush first, with Trump in 12th place.

Once the vetting starts and negative ads are run against Trump, I hope he'll go the way of Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani had a much bigger lead than Trump does now...and then he bombed out.

This clown, Donald Trump, will not “make America great again.” He will make America the laughingstock of the world. His only accomplishment will be to leave the rest of the world with the impression that all Americans are as ignorant and racist as he is.

‘White power!': Trump’s Alabama ‘pep rally’ brings out folks who want to shoot ‘illegals’ at the border

“Hopefully, he’s going to sit there and say, ‘When I become elected president, what we’re going to do is we’re going to make the border a vacation spot, it’s going to cost you $25 for a permit, and then you get $50 for every confirmed kill,'” Sherota explained. “That’d be one nice thing.”

Imagine what the Koch brothers are thinking -- for all their millions, they thought they had bought the White House, signed, sealed, and delivered. Then comes this pompous "billionaire" to upset their game. This is going to get dirtier and dirtier.

"People of Iowa" are exactly that "People of Iowa", come on, it's Iowa! I want a raise of hands from anyone here reading this blog that have ever stepped foot in Iowa...waiting, (Bueller, Bueller...) Seriously, it's Iowa and only those too stupid or too poor to escape live there. It's flyover hell on earth, and yes, I had to spend a day in Des Moines and it was 30 years ago but still, I'll never forget it, seemed more like a year than just one day. Here in Alaska we call Iowans "Children of the Corn".

For Texans Rick Perry and Ted Cruz, Iowa polls could be the end of the trail and Trump is to blame

The unexpected appeal of billionaire developer Donald Trump has thwarted the efforts of everyone in the 17-candidate GOP primary field — and Cruz in particular — to tap into the vein of voter anger with political business-as-usual and the desire for a fresh face that the Trump campaign has uncovered.

It's early still, give Trump enough rope and he'll go from Engineer to Caboose on the Clown Car to Nowhere. What's MORE entertaining is watching the others walking on eggshells or calling him out and sinking further in the polls.
Keep Calm and stay stocked on popcorn. Anyone so profoundly bigoted who says his two favorite books are "The Bible" and "The Art of The Deal" shows he doesn't have what it takes to "make America Strong Again" ("Did I mention the hats are for sale on my site? And they're made in the USA?"
Yeah, one hat made here, he toots his horn, his entire line of polyester menswear, worth millions, wasn't good enough for a "made in USA" mention.
