I think I may have a new hero.

Do I love that quote or what?

Yes if we worked harder at helping each other rather than killing each other, there is no end to the amount of good we could do in this world.

While I love the sentiment, I believe it will be a long time before we reach the stage of maturity allowing such a state of open and honest support of each other. There will be far too many who will wish to keep a good supply of cheap, even slave, labor available. And cannon fodder, too, I'm sorry to say.

Livingry, I could get used to that terminology.

This, I can't though. Alaskan GOP women, SMH...embarrassment on all levels. They angling for some plum political appointment from The Donald? He wouldn't give either of them a 3, Sarah also too included.

No matter how great our technology and how peaceful we become, we will still kill this planet if humans keep reproducing at the rate we are.

      Yes!

"Be fruitful and multiply!" What a huge change from what it probably was intended for originally. It would not surprise me in the least to find out that line was meant as a way of hugely increasing the population of a certain desert dwelling tribe in the middle east, not all of humanity.

Just as with the Quiverful movement, it was a way of promoting THEIR beliefs and THEIR way of life by overwhelming the opposition by sheer numbers. It is no coincidence that the major religions treat women as brood mares, encourage reproduction, and discourage contraception and abortion.

It the earth was populated by unique adult intellects like the great late Mr. Fuller I would be optimistic. Alas , it is not. Politics, the scourge of mankind, is in the way.

That is the most iconic image of Mr. Fuller, designer of the geodesic dome, at Expo 67 in Montreal. The theme of the Expo was "Man And His World". I was just a youngster then, but I remember that year fondly, as it was Canada's Centennial year, celebrating 100 years of Confederation. I still have a souvenir Centennial matchbook, with all 100 matchsticks intact!

  7. Thanks for posting this. I love intelligence. However, we have a situation today in which someone is telling us they want to help "protesters", particularly in Ferguson. What are those helpful meatballs called again? Yes, helping their fellow man understand that if they held a gun in their hands, they would be less bothered by those people with badges and stuff. Me thinks someone is picturing a bloodbath that might be on their own bucket list. Creepy.

A quirky man with quirky ideas. Mostly pie in the sky stuff.

    But somewhat entertaining.
