Well look who returned to the scene of the crime.

Former President George W. Bush, whose legacy was marred by the federal government's response to Hurricane Katrina, visited New Orleans today to mark the 10th anniversary of the tragedy.

Bush and his wife, Laura, arrived Friday morning at Warren Easton Charter High School, where they met with students as well as New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and Kathleen Blanco, who was Louisiana's governor when Katrina hit in August 2005.

In a speech at the school, the former president said he will never forget the images of "misery and ruin" from Katrina. He said New Orleans was a city where "the levies gave out but ... [the] people never gave up."

Yeah, but their government sure did, didn't it Georgie?

If it wasn't for the media scrutiny and the resulting outrage I think the Bush administration would have simply let this whole city just wash away.

I cannot believe that Bush has the balls to show is face his face in New Orleans.

It kind of reminds me of an arsonist who stands next to the firetruck to watch the building he set on fire burn.

Worst President EVER!

    Remember hurricane Betsy?
...you know - back in the '60's?
    no... no you probably don't
because el BJ, President Lyndon Johnson, was right on top of it and handled it exceptionally well.

As opposed to GW who just shrugged it off like he did so many things during his presidency.

I'll never forget watching and feeling relief when they said Katrina wasn't as bad as expected. Then the levees broke. I watched in horror at what happened. Or shall I say what didn't happen?

I think it was the second day, my mate came home while they were reporting. I was so pissed I was shaking. I screeched as I pointed to the t.v., LOOK! Look at these poor people. Nobody is helping them. Nobody cares!

Yea, I kinda flipped. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. And I could never imagine what it was like to live through that hell.

I know that there were many people there doing whatever they could for as long as it took. They can't be thanked enough. I'm talking about the ones that WEREN'T there. Our fucked up, all talk and no action government. They truly showed the whole damn world how useless and out of touch with the American people they were, are and always will be. How unorganized, how thoughtless, how worthless....yea, I'm looking at you bush.

Myself and six friends spent some time in Nar'luns a few years back. We took a tour all over the place. Had the best tour guy ever(Hey Dino). He told about how the whole thing went down. It was so interesting to here it from someone who lived it.

We saw a lot of the devastation, still. The water lines, unbelievable. The nothingness where so many homes had been or what was left of them. So many empty homes. Didn't make me feel exceptional at all. Shame is what I felt.

The word was out that no one could get in to NO to help but people from Pensacola FL were loading up cars and trucks etc., collecting donations and delivering them. Much as I dislike Joe Scarborough, he was one of the people getting help to NO.
I think for George Bush to go there now is one of the most outrageous things he could have done. After not helping them AT ALL, he has the guts to show up (and dance) now. It is surprising that the people of NO didn't ride him out on a rail.
And Jeb! thinks he should follow Georgie. Dear God please get these Bushes out. They have done way more than enough damage to this country. And gotten filthy rich doing it.
I HATE all of them and that is a word I never use.

Not ONE mention of "Fema trailers" nor "Brownie's good job", I suppose showing up at a charter school his wife's foundation "helped" would be about the only place that he'd feel comfortable enough to show his face. Notice he avoided the ninth ward like the plague????
I'm glad he went, though. It might remind people there's another epic failure with the same last name running for office, but, alas, Jeb avoids photo ops with his brother, Geroge. Sorry, if you can't earn your own brothers respect, how do you expect to earn the public's respect?
"I married a Mexican" can only get you so far,
