Franklin Graham to visit all 50 states in attempt to turn America into a theocracy. Well that's helpful.

Courtesy of Opposing Views:

Rev. Franklin Graham recently announced his Decision America Tour, which will travel to all 50 states in 2016 to encourage Christians to vote for Christians, and to urge Christians to run for political positions on federal, state and local levels.

In an op-ed penned for Charisma News, Graham recalled Nehemiah, from the Bible, who supervised the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days even though he faced opposition from Samaritans, Ammonites, Arabs and Philistines.

Graham claimed: "America's walls of biblical morality are crumbling," and "Christianity and our religious freedoms are under siege. Progressives and secularists want to see God removed from everything and to burn every gate of protection."

Graham didn't say which religious freedoms were "under siege," or name any progressives and secularists who wanted "God removed from everything."

You know usually these Fundamentalist asshats are a little more subtle, but apparently Graham is tired of pussy footing around.

And who can blame him? With millennials turning away from the church in droves, and science answering more and more of the questions that were once considered unanswerable, Christians are seeing their power base crumbling all around them in this country.

So of course they are going to make an aggressive and clumsy grab for power.

However Franklin Graham is going to have to face the fact that he is a dinosaur, and his superstitions are no longer finding favor with many of the young people who will someday lead this country into the new enlightenment.

I only hope I can hang on long enough to see it fore myself.

He is a joke! Don't forget too that Sarah Palin claims him as a friend! What does that tell you?

  2. Were I a religious person, I wouldn't need a Graham, a Robertson, a church, or a preacher to practice my faith.

The real issue is where is the money going to come from? Coffers are drying up. He is desperate and despicable.

Do you suppose Sarah will join him? That would eat up her SarahPac money.....

Wonder how much money the Palins have given this fraud of a religious man? Probably zero! .

      A blow job perhaps?

He has made a great lucrative life for himself, hitching onto his father's coattails. He takes a large chunk of the "donations" as his salary, buys private jets, and even a float plane which he sold to Taaaddd PayMe. He is as big a fraud as Creflo Dollar, Pat Rovertson and Huckleberry. Will Sister $carah go along for the scam?

I find myself disillusioned about religion when people like Huckabee often sweep morality under the rug and take a stand only religious beliefs matter so law does not.

While I respect religious convictions to be antiabortion I am perplexed by the pride and boldness of pregnancies out of wedlock as if due celebrity attention while berating others for not being "religious". I am of the opinion that a sense of entitlement is a big force now over reaching to demanding everyone do as they believe.

The defending of the likes of Bristol Palin, Kim Davis and Josh Duggar and demands there be no consequences for their choices and if we do not allow them a false distinction of paragons or religious pillars then America is going to hell and persecuting religious people.

Just saying the likes of Huckabee demonstrate how illogical and irrational their reasoning is. The religious zealots need to self examine their practiced values and even hypocrisy and defending hypocrites.

Your post was great! You make such a good point about those three "paragons of virtue" Barstool, Mrs. Davis, and Duggar. And that greedy Mike Huckabee! He's got a Florida beach house to pay for so he runs for president.

Like father, like son. My mother-in-law, dead for well over a decade now, still receives begging letters from Billy Graham. I dread to think how much of her small income she sent to that skunk.

Wish someone would start a petition on the government website to remove tax exemption from churches.

How is it done? I'll help you, 6:20 AM

I do not think churches in our country should have tax exemptions. Plus, they need to pay real estate taxes for the properties they own in our communities. They truly need to pay their way just like we ordinary folks do!

Either that or people need to stop donating to them every Sunday as they pass the plate or baskets.

Aye, aye, I agree with both of you. No tax exemptions for churches.

So he's been training with Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. That is pretty much the ISIS poohbah's message.

Pope Francis is coming to the United States later this month and I guarantee that he will be schooling these charlatans what it means to follow Christ. It means being progressive, it means helping the poor, the downtrodden, the sick, those in prison, those without homes, etc...

They will call him a socialist, which is true. Jesus was a socialist who preached to give all your money to the poor. And of course, that is something that those "Christians" riding around in their private planes will never do.

But if Franklin is worried about our country, why is he waiting until 2016 to visit all 50 States. Why not start right now. Could it be he wants to influence the election? You bet he does.

I am eager to welcome the Pope to America!

This Graham guy is nothing like him! One (the Pope!) loves the poor and cares for them -
Franklin (and Sarah) do it for show!

I can't wait until Pope Francis addresses Congress and talks about feeding the poor, housing the homeless, making peace, and saving the planet from climate change. Wonder who will be the first to call out "You lie!"? Wonder if all those Catholics on the Supreme Court will be there.

It should be simple to Christians, Muslims, Jews, and so on: Your religious freedom ends when they it starts impinging on others' civil rights.

Don't brush off these Dominionists so easily/quickly. They are the ones who have changed the political landscape to the toxic wasteland it is today.

I'm sure Christ would be horrified at what humans are still doing in his name... Dominionism isn't quite as blatant as the Crusades or the Inquisition - that's why it is seeping into the culture without being noticed by most.

What do you think? Was this upcoming circuit of his organized with the National Republican Party? Bet it was!

Yea, he really spreads the 'word of god' all right! He's nothing more than a money monger and a control freak!

Sorry, Frankie, you're not your daddy's son when it comes to "evangelizing". Have you considered a "Decision America on Ice" ice capades like tour? That's the audience you've got to get brianwashed, but even a purple dinosaur believing toddler has more brains than to fall for your transparent cause, turning America into a Theocracy.
Better yet, why not try those sideshow tents with preachers praying the devil out of venomous snakes??? That'll fill the pews!!!

  19. If history teaches us anything, theocracies work so well. They are breeding grounds for paranoia, suspicion, hate, greed, and persecution. Nothing gets the blood boiling like some good old fashioned witch burning.
