"Tide To Go" commercial mocks opposition to marriage equality.

You know I sometimes wonder how ignorant people feel when their prejudices are openly mocked on TV shows or commercials.

I don't care of course, I just wonder.

  1. They're all a step forward, and all welcome. For me, the one to beat yet, is the poignant 2010 McDonald's one that only played in France. It's better than time to bring it here.

I'd be interested to know why they don't show it here. Too chicken? It's a great ad.

So many countries have been ahead of the curve on LGBT issues. My son works in Ad Media, Ikea had a few "Edgy" print and television ads, one was a spin on the wedding scene in "the Graduate" And Volvo had two cars in a drive in, The male drivers exited the cars and engaged in heavy petting. The ad closed with both cars's hand brakes rising on their own.
I DO think America is too "chicken" and faux puritanical. It's bad business, most LGBT folks make good livings and have a lot of disposable income.

    This is awesome!

The best type of mockery is when you don't even have to mention a person's name and everybody watching knows exactly who you're talking about

That's it! I'm fed up with the mocking of my sincerely held religious beliefs. I am now boycotting the washing of clothes. From now on, if you encounter me in public just think of that putrid stench in your nostrils as a representation of my love of the Lord!

  11. This made me feel much better after seeing that horrendous photo of the emaciated polar bear...first thing this morning. I felt I needed to bleach my brain. The TIDE commerical helped immensely. Maybe there is a glimmer of hope in this country after all. The shenanigans thus far are taking a toll on my optimism.
