Texas woman drops gun in doctor's office hitting patient in other room. Well, at least they were in the right place.

Courtesy of KCEN TV:

A witness told KCEN's sister station 12News that a woman was in the waiting room of a medical office. When she reached into her purse to pull out some paperwork, a gun fell out of her purse causing it to discharge. The round went through a wall and hit another patient in the hip.

Bobby Pressley was in the waiting room when it happened.

"Everyone was sitting in the waiting room and there was a gun shot. A woman dropped her purse down on the counter and it shot through the wall and shot another lady," said Pressley.

A spokesperson for the Beaumont Police Department told 12News that the injuries of the person whom was shot are not considered life threatening. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Yep that 2nd Amendment is keeping us so safe that it even reached through walls to stop a bad patient in an open back gown.

Sure this seems bad, but if the NRA has taught us anything it's that guns are not inherently dangerous, therefore the doctor's patient was probably up to no good, and the gun sensed that and leaped (Or in this case fell) into action.

o/t -- Gryphen, Bernie Sanders may be the only agnostic running for President.
""I am who I am," Sanders said. "And what I believe in and what my spirituality is about, is that we're all in this together. That I think it is not a good thing to believe that as human beings we can turn our backs on the suffering of other people."

Sanders added: "This is not Judasim. This is what Pope Francis is talking about -- that we cannot worship just billionaires and the making of more and more money. Life is more than that."

  8. Fine, gunhumpers, you want your right to arm yourself to the teeth for no damn good reason? Okay, but there will be laws regarding liability and insurance out your flaming wazoo.

This stupid woman deserves to be sued by her victim for everything she has.

Let's see these morons paying thousands and thousands of dollars every year to cover the carnage caused by their stupidity and egos.

She should go to jail and should never be able to own a gun again.

I guess everything is bigger in Texas! Even the chances of a patient being shot without the use of an injection. SMH

The article says:- "Handguns are strictly prohibited on all CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System campuses, as safety for our staff and patients is always a top priority." Was the shooter aware of this? If so, and she brought her firearm with her regardless, I would hope that there will be consequences for that decision.

AGAIN with the weapons that discharge just from being dropped?? Seriously, there needs to be a class action lawsuit against whoever is manufacturing those things...

Boscoe, I so agree. I call them the 'they just go off guns'.
Okay, so I had some surgery and have been in and out trying to keep up. Remember last week, the Mom braiding the little girl's hair? The gun fell, hit the floor, just went off, shot Mom in leg and kid in head, killing her.

This story stuck in my head. I asked someone close to me that knows guns. Hey, if your pistol was on the table and the dog walked by and knocked it off, would it fire? He said, no way. And then went into an elaborate explanation of why it couldn't. About all I got out of it was something to do with a striker force? I don't know guns. He does.

He then asked where were they positioned? Think about it. Mostly you braid at someones back or possibly side. Where was this gun? Who knocked it off? What kind of angle put it through her leg and then up into the kid's head?

Let me say here that I do understand that people mess with guns, they file this off, saw that off, whatever, I get that. IF a gun is not cocked and has a the safety on, it will not fire falling on the floor. Some pistols don't have a safety. I was told even the ones with no safety will NOT fire if dropped on the floor.

So flash forward to this morning. Here we go again. It just went off. I wish the media would stop saying this. It is a lie. When I read this headline I squealed! Again! Said knowledge of guns guy, what? I read him the article. He said, I don't know what to say. Guns just don't go off even when you drop them.

I'm just not buying this they just go off shit. And YES she should be arrested and charged with every law they have on the books. Reckless use of a guy, having gun while head up ass, whatever. And yes, she should be sued. They always let them go. Responsible gun owners my ass.

Yes, more guns, JUST LIKE THIS ONE, should be REQUIRED by members of congress and that won't vote on gun control and ammosexuals that worship them:

It would seem that gun owners should take care to be certain there is no way the gun would be loaded and ready. Certainly it should be quickly used in case of attack, but usually there is some warning of an attack. How about passing a basic gun safety test similar to drivers' tests?

Sandra the safety test isn't good enough. Where I live a very high percentage of people ignore the rules of the road. I expect they would ignore gun rules as well.

Texas? That has to be a typo, no state can have that many premature, accidental discharges. Perhaps Brancy will don her Bristol suit and explain the biblical interpretation and logic this is an example of?
