Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey
Canada doesn't want this idiot. After all, Canada has Harper as Prime Minister, funded by the Koch brothers! Hopefully he will be beaten in the election soon.
The debate was so refreshing. Honest disagreements over real issues. Unlike the circus in the last two trainwrecks. Sorry to mix metaphors, but it's such a difference, it's like University vs. show and tell. I'd rather University guide and lead us.
Of course we know smart people themselves are not boring, but for someone who has no intellectual curiosity and little or no background knowledge to frame a discussion/debate within, smart people talking smart stuff can bore them.
I use this analogy if student says a certain assignment is boring: I show them a blank New York Times crossword puzzle. I ask them if it is 'boring'. Some say no, most say yes and I have yet to hear anyone say "It's neither. It's just a crossword puzzle", which is where I go next. The puzzle itself is not boring. People are either bored by it or can find hours of entertainment in trying to solve it. It itself is not boring.
I found it refreshing also. Whenever Anderson Cooper redirected someone to answer the question I thought of Palin at the VP debate who announced she was not going to answer the questions because she could not.
I don't get this post. Why would smart people be boring? I enjoyed the debate. No one trying to take away my right to privacy or denying science... That's boring?
No. Generally I think dumb, shallow, socially retarded people are boring.
ReplyDeleteNo.They're scary as hell!
DeleteNo they get elected to Congress.
DeleteMy Canadian friend and I had fun watching the deceit that night. Definitely not boring.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you should join your Canadian friend in Canada....

DeleteLOL, the only deceit in your life are the lies you tell yourself
Delete@4:02 - you have a friend?

ReplyDeleteIf God had wanted people to think, s/he would have given them brains.
ReplyDeleteI actually wasn't! I enjoyed the Democratic debate.
