Elizabeth Hasselbeck bails on Fox News. Cites wanting time with her family.

Courtesy of AOL:

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is saying goodbye to 'Fox & Friends.'

Hasselbeck announced Monday that she will step down from her role as co-host of the morning show on Fox News Channel and will leave the network by the end of the year. The 38-year-old talk show host joined the show in 2013 after her tumultuous exit from "The View" and has told the network that she plans to put her TV career on hold as she raises her three children, Taylor, Grace and Isaiah.

In a statement, Hasselbeck said, "Oftentimes, the most difficult decisions are between two great things. Throughout my 14 years working in television, I have never experienced a more positive and thoughtful atmosphere than FOX News Channel, thanks to the strong leadership of (FOX News Chairman & CEO) Roger Ailes, who has created the best working environment a woman and mother could ask for. His understanding, compassion, and kindness was exemplified when I shared with him that I am entering into a season where I want to start my day with my children first, and he offered his blessing to do so. With a heart full of gratitude and the peace that God has given me, I am confident that this personal decision is the right one for our family, and we will be joining all of you watching Fox & Friends each morning as we get ready for school together."

You know when a politician quits claiming they want to spend more time with their families we all know there is a scandal brewing somewhere.

Now Hasselbeck is no politician, but it is still suspicious that she would walk away from a gig like this with no plans for the future unless there was a compelling reason.

So what do we think?

Was the gig too partisan even for her, or was she actually too dimwitted even for Fox News?

Never could stand her when she was on the View
but I stopped watching that show. Honestly, I could care less if there's a scandal. She's nothing but a dumb blonde bimbo in my book.

If you "could care less", that means you currently care more.

Liz Hasselbeck sounds like a bidet washing the genitalia, perineum, inner buttocks, and anus of FOX CEO Roger Ailes.

Wonder if Mrs.Todd Palin's big, floppy ears perked up at the sound of this news? Maybe she forgot that Roger fired her earlier this year.

Taking care of the kids is code for "your fired"!
Hasselbitch didn't make the bimbo grade.
I don't think they would take sarah back she is too damn old.

I say dimwitted is correct...and very hate filled.

She has everything in life and is just angry and hateful at all times and has been since her View days.

What is wrong with people like that???

She's way too ambitious to walk away from TV. Must be a family or personal problem. We should walk away from that.

I remember well how heartbroken Hasselback was when she did not get an invite the the Bush White House XMAS party in 2008. She made such a big deal of it on "The View" the White House was forced to issue her a "make up" invitation to shut her up. Nothing like shaming yourself into a party. Kind of like a pity fuck. I wonder if our Sarah take her place on Fox & Friends. After all, she has had experience on camera, has about the intelligence of Elizabeth, and is available so long as she does not have to work.

Translation "Fox did not renew my contract" "My husband found a new bimbo" "My kids are ashamed of me spouting nonsense on TV" Liz is getting long in the tooth for ol' Roger's taste. Maybe that paragon of virtue, Bristles PayMe will apply for the job? Nah, too much "hard work" involved.

Too dimwitted, for sure. She probably got caught in some FOX backstabbing intrigue and was burned. You know in a place that peddles so much hate the competition is absolutely dirty and fierce!

Well, she's looking old already, so she's outlived her usefulness according to the standards at Faux. Gotta keep the horny hateful mouthbreathers watching ya know.

So NOW she's saying it's time to stay home? Aren't her kids almost pre-teens or in that age vicinity? The time to stay home was when they were much younger. What virtue is there in pretending one's all motherly now after she's been in television for 14 years?

I can't stand the dishonesty of these career celebrity/media personalities, who think they can pull the wool off Mr. public's eyes. Either she's been in a scandal, or is afraid of threatening attacks that possibly Fox News studios could be getting, considering the world we live in now, or she's been offered a better deal.

Now, who would bet that Sarah is glamming it all up right now and begging for an audition as the replacement?

Maybe her husband is having an affair with her nanny! There seems to be a lot of that going around.

Funny that her children didn't need a full-time mommy when they were babies or toddlers. I would think school aged children, who are out of the house from 8 to 3 five days a week are less likely to need mom home during those hours than the infant or toddler did.

She has let her black roots show through the bottle blonde for quite some time now. Not a good look.

I think Elizabeth exposed herself as a stupid bitch and embarrassed even Roger. Watch this clip.

On another site I read (datalounge.com), there is a View thread where an insider has been posting. Even before this news broke, he posted that Roger Ailes only hired Hasselbeck as a favor to his friend, Barbara Walters, after ABC fired Hasselbeck from the View, and that he (the insider) had heard that Hasselbeck was not happy at Fox because she earned less money and had much less scope for promoting herself the way she had on the View. He also said that he had heard that Fox wasn't happy with Hasselbeck either, and so they didn't renew her contract. The spending-more-time-with-children reason is simply a face saver.

Don't know if it's true. But makes sense to me.

She's horrible. I'm wouldn't be surprised if she got fired again.

It's in all probability true. Barbara gave her the chance of a lifetime, she jumped ship without giving notice, not knowing Barbara and Ailes have mutual friends. It was Barbara who announced Liz's new gig, which left Liz looking like the back stabber she is. Walters was all class and tutored her on how to quit properly (leaving a door open). She's got no chance of getting back on either network.
As a woman, she offends me deeply by using the kids as human shields. They were much younger when she was on the View, and they need her more NOW? For what? Hubby boinking the nanny?

I like how she said to take care of her children. So, that slams the door on Sarah Palin becoming the co-host. Cause the criticism would be 'gee, Sarah, don't you have a young special needs child that needs you.' Of course we all know she cares less for Trig than pretty much anything or anyone. She's never home with him and he's being raised and cared for by Piper and nannies.

When I heard she needed to spend more time with her family I wondered which of her children was in deep shit....

... because like has been pointed out, Hasselbeck NEVER felt the urge to spend more time with her children before they were old enough to go to school.

Whoah, that was one thorough ass licking she gave Roger. BUT when that's one's only talent, it's all downhill from here. Unless there's a PPV mud wrestling event with RAM, Nancy and Liz,but even then my money's on RAM

Her children are 10, 8, and 6. The time to stay home with them is long gone.
I vote for a husband/nanny storyline. I mean..look at that bag of bones with an low IQ and big mouth. If the nanny is even half way attractive, who would blame him.

There's a story out now that they've put their CT mansion up for sale. Kids go to school. Are they downsizing and going to stay local? Move out of state? Divorce and split the house money?

Ratings went up for that show after they hired her.The hours were horrible for anyone. She commuted from CT to be on air from 6am-9pm every morning. She had that cancer scare last year but the tumor was benign. Experiences like that often make one change priorities. If their house has sold, they may be moving away from CT & NYC. Her husband works for ESPN. Where is that based?
