Louisiana gubernatorial candidate David Vitter recruits one of those Duck Dynasty guys to help that whole prostitute thing.

Courtesy of Mediaite:

The new ad, titled “David and Willie,” highlights a familiar theme for Vitter’s campaign: how he accepted responsibility for his actions and asked for forgiveness. “What defines us in life is how we get up and earn redemption,” Vitter says in the ad. “Where we are as a state is needing to get up based on strong conservative principles, and that’s what I’m leading with.”

I cannot believe that this idiot thinks standing next reality star is going to help him win this election.

Just how stupid does he think the voters are?

Though to be fair this IS Louisiana.

I love how these conservative clowns are always running on their religious morality, but then when they get caught with their peckers out they claim it's no big deal because "who hasn't
 made mistakes?

Well you know I have made mistakes in my life as well, but cheating on my wife with prostitutes just wasn't one of them.

Now I have no idea what Vitter and Willie Robertson were doing there in the woods, and I don't think I want to know, but it is unlikely to help him since he is now running behind his Democratic opponent by double digits.

Being open minded and a scumbag do not go hand in hand.

Or if you prefer genital to genital.

The "religious right" sees forgiveness as a "get out of jail free" card.

You're right. Unfortunately, they never seem to remember the second half of the forgiveness statement: "Go and sin no more."

Typical right wing christotaliban: One of theirs claims forgiveness? Fine. Someone else? Forget it! Ain't gonna happen!

Time for GOP panic? Establishment worried Carson or Trump might win

Less than three months before the kickoff Iowa caucuses, there is growing anxiety bordering on panic among Republican elites about the dominance and durability of Donald Trump and Ben Carson and widespread bewilderment over how to defeat them.

Party leaders and donors fear that nominating either man would have negative ramifications for the GOP ticket up and down the ballot, virtually ensuring a Hillary Rodham Clinton presidency and increasing the odds that the Senate falls into Democratic hands.

The party establishment is paralyzed. Big money is still on the sidelines. No consensus alternative to the outsiders has emerged from the pack of governors and senators running, and there is disagreement about how to prosecute the case against them. Recent focus groups of Trump supporters in Iowa and New Hampshire commissioned by rival campaigns revealed no silver bullet.

It's not just the cheating. He broke the law by participating in prostitution. He should have had to deal with it in court.

"What defines us in life is how we get up and earn redemption,”
    - David Vitter

So what is the the message Vitter is sending to Sarah, Briatol and the Palins? That they are pieces of shit since they don't earn redemption.

redemption only happens if you're sincere. Sociopaths and grifters will be burned with the rest of the heathens and sinners. ;P

In 2007 David Vitter's phone number was found in the call logs of the “D.C. Madam” Deborah Jeane Palfre.

What's the problem? I'm willing to bet Shailey Tripp's phone number appeared in Toad's phone log and Sarah never disowned Toad.

If prostitutes are acceptable to Sarah then prostitution should be acceptable to Louisianans.

How much do you wanna bet that Vitter promised the greedy duck family all those millions back in state subsidies that Jindal took back this year?

One would think that the uber-Christian Duck Dynasty guys would not want to be shown associating with Vitter. But, then again, they were getting publicity, maybe some money, and maybe some hints from Vitter.
