JESUS WOULD FIGHT FOR OUR SECOND AMENDMENT
Taking concrete defense measures (ie. arming ourselves) away from the good guys? Yeah... that... we don't want that.
Jesus would fight for our second amendment?
Has she even read the book she is plagiarizing?
Is this the man who would fight for the 2nd Amendment?

Because that's the man who the religion that Palin claims to adhere to is named after.
I find it beyond ironic that I would feel the need to defend Christianity, but let's face it this woman, and MANY of the loudest voices seeking to represent her religion, seem to HAVE no idea about it's central theme.
But here's a hint.
I does NOT involve shooting first and asking questions later.
You know as an Atheist I would love to give all of the credit for people leaving the church on the fact that we have access to more information and are better educated today than in years past.
However the truth is that it is exactly people like Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, and Ted Cruz who wrap themselves in the cloak of Christianity, while preaching messages of hate and divisiveness, that is causing people to run screaming from the religion in droves.
So I guess for that I should tha.....I should than....I should offer Palin my tha.....you know what I'm trying to say.
After all she is unwittingly doing a public service, while trying with all her might to do something completely different.
Much like she tried to help reform the Republican party and instead damn near destroyed it.
P.S. Oh yeah I almost forgot, Palin also linked to this parody song attacking the President over his calls for gun control. I assume that Billy Joel will be contacting his lawyers later today.

That is an old trick that many women of a certain age do thinking you won't notice that their eyebrows are now half-way up their forward. Men who have had a brow lift just look permanently surprised. Women can try to deflect attention because you end up watching the piece of hair that gets caught in their eyelash and you keep wondering, 'does she feel that? it would drive me crazy to have that hair touching my eye lash, but she doesn't seem to notice. how can she not notice?' and then you realize you have no idea what has been said so that is usually a good time to head to the bar and order another drink.

This concept fake christians are taught about the founding fathers having had some supernatural relationship with the God of the Bible, through Jesus Christ, is false.
Jesus condemned violence and went to the cross for mankind. He taught for believers to carry their crosses (figuratively) meaning they needed to know their pilgrimage on this earth wouldn't be easy, in light of the many temptations that might sway them to lose their souls.

DeleteI had to get dow a few of our Christmas books (quite a collection over the years) down from a high shelf for my husband to peruse in his search to do something different as the local movie theatre's Santa Claus this year. One of the books I pulled down was Caroline Kennedy's lovely "A Family Christmas." For anyone who wants to foil Sarah's latest bizarre holiday offering, I highly recommend Caroline Kennedy's book. It has some spiritual offerings as well as poetry, carols, stories, a sermon by Martin Luther King, letters, some historical facts and even a few recipes and, above all, nary a word about how lovely guns are.

My signed copy of Sweet Freedom hasn't arrived yet so I wondered in to a Barnes & Nobel to pick one up "very rare occurrence for me, just ask Golfmom if you don't believe me" lol..anyway I strolled around to all the new release tables and anywhere else I could think of this wonderful book might be, no luck! I was forced to ask some young whipper snapper where on earth Sarah's brand new book would be located, he said ((((((WHO?))))))) I repeated myself and he found it on his little black box and said follow me. He took me to the very back corner of the store in the religion section, duh I thought to myself but then I thought again and said out loud to this young man or women I'm still not sure, don't you think this book should be by the front door with all the other new releases? "It" said yeah I don't know why they put it back here! I noticed that there was only five books on the self and had to ask why all the other new releases had 20 or more books out and displayed quite prominently and this one was basically hidden from the public. "It" had just an eye roll for me at this point, now mind you I went in to purchase one book and at that point something came over me and I grabbed all five. That way "It" would have to go to wherever they hide her books and fetch more! Oh well....I've got two devout sister in laws and a couple nieces that will enjoy these books and I enjoyed pushing this little Libs buttons, all in all my Barnes & Nobel trip was a enjoyable experience! LOL
