Speaking of Right Wing nutjobs, what's Michele "crazy eyes" Bachmann been up to lately?

So one time Congresswoman from Minnesota, Michele Bachmann has been on a tour of Israel with Family Research Council president Tony Perkins.

During the last week of this tour she appeared on Perkins' radio program, where she said this as reported by Right Wing Watch:

“Almost every article in the paper” has to do with conflicts in Israel, Bachmann said, “and it ties with so much biblical prophecy. This week really was about biblical prophecy in many ways. And we’re seeing as events are speeding up, events are speeding up so quickly right now, and we see how relevant the Bible is, and we’re reading our newspaper, at the same time we’re learning about these biblical events, and it’s literally day by day by day, we’re seeing the fulfillment of scripture right in front of our eyes, even while we’re on the ground.”

“We recognize the shortness of the hour,” she said, “and that’s why we as a remnant want to be faithful in these days and do what it is that the Holy Spirit is speaking to each one of us, to be faithful in the Kingdom and to help bring in as many as we can — even among the Jews — share Jesus Christ with everyone that we possibly can because, again, He’s coming soon.”

So to be clear Bachmann is visiting the Jewish state of Israel, you know a place bursting at the seams with Jewish people, and pushing for their conversion to Christianity as quickly as possible, based on her belief that Jesus has already bought his return ticket and is on his way.

Now that does not sound very respectful of other religions does it?

But once again THAT is what motivates these fundamentalist Christians to support Israel.

They say they love the people of Israel, but only because they believe that two thirds of them need to die in order to usher in the return of Jesus. And that once that happens the rest will convert to Christianity.

In fact they love them much like they love the soldiers who they eagerly send off to die in foreign lands to protect the "homeland" and of course the flow of their precious oil.

Bachmann is only saying out loud what all of them believe in their hearts, and that is that Israel exists solely so that THEIR messiah can return, and after that the people of Israel will have served their purpose.

Sorry for OT topic but I wanted to send you this link about the coming teacher shortage and record low morale. Again, sorry for being off the topic!

Since you've already started with O/T - I was talking to a teacher the other day who said her school is now requiring DAILY communication with parents. It doesn't have to be individualized; it can be a classroom newsletter. But individual reports are also frequently required. When do teachers have time to, you know, actually teach?

Here in AK one of the solutions to our current budget crisis is to cut our education budget by HALF! We already have a very poor record in our public schools compared to other areas of the country so I can't imagine what this will mean if it is passed.

    1. I'll have some oil and vinegar with that word salad. How many times and ways can she say that she loves Israel and and those spunky jews and what role they play in her batshit crazy, end times lovin fairy tale? I bet she doesn't know that most Israeli jews are secular and find her just as insane as we do. These rapture nut jobs are flat out insulting to jews. The only reason they give a crap is because it ties into their fanatical belief that Jews are god's "chosen people".

So she's one of the "remnant" nutjobs, too? Those remnant groups are really out there--not that she wasn't out there before but that just makes it a notch nuttier. Obviously it's her about-to-explode brain that makes her eyes want to fly out of her head.

Evangelicals have been talking out loud about converting Jews for a long time.

Chosen People Ministries and Jews for Jesus are two of several groups that, for decades, have promoted evangelizing to Jews. Chosen People works with evangelical churches to encourage cultivating 'a heart for the Jewish people'.

Yes, it is xtian zionism. And what people need to know (and it pisses me off to no end that they don't) is that xtian zionists have nothing against jews and have no wish for them to die to usher in the end, so that ISN'T their problem. Far from it, the problem is that xtian zionists lick jewish ass the way that dogs lick the posteriors of targets of their discovery-channel affection. Xtian zionists are less a religious group than an unwitting political group going along with the use of religion as an excuse to suck jewish anus and encourage jews to piss all over the "inferior" races of the world (arab palestinians for starters) while guilt-tripping every gullible evangelical and every Western country with a central bank to hand over to them billions of dollars for doing nothing but continuing their land-grabs and genocide, insisting that they're entitled to do so because they're chosen by G-d and therefore have the right to be assholes. And xtian zionists buy that shit.

The First Amendment doesn't apply to blogs. Blog owners get to decide which comments fly and which don't. I'm tired of the sloppy ignorance about this simple fact: the First Amendment is only to prevent the GOVERNMENT from shutting you up. Not anyone in the PRIVATE sector.

I think 6:27 isn't wrong in some respects but is wrong in others. I think Xian Zionists are about religion, first and foremost, and the politics derives from that, not the other way around.

I also think the bible is totally inapplicable to anything. It's just an arbitrarily assembled, re-re-re-translated collection of fiction, myths, misunderstood ancient history filtered through superstition and repression, used as a means to repress and control the ignorant. It is one of the biggest, ugliest jokes played on civilization, that this savage nonsense is given any credence whatsoever.

Xtian zionists are the smiling, stupid, religious attack dogs of their unreligious owners/masters. It is a political movement at the top, but religious people are recruited below to do the dirty work, such as rallying for wars, and fighting in them. Meanwhile, the wealthy masters at the top laugh all the way to the bank, and into the West Bank. Xtian zionism is a geopolitical movement that pretends to be religious for recruitment purposes only. And it works, because there is more than enough stupid cannon fodder to make it work, and you can thank useful tools such as Sarah Palin for that.

The birth of Jessa Duggar Seewald's son is creating quite a buzz online, and not all of it is positive. From Michelle Duggar's bizarre behavior during a 911 call to photos of a hospitalized Jessa disappearing from the Seewald family website, there is speculation that the family is trying to keep the real facts about Jessa's childbirth under wraps.

As to the xtian zionism posts: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=republican+house+members+trip+to+israel+christian+zionism

    "...An Expanded Israel

In order to fulfill Biblical prophecy, Dispensationalists have been working hard to ensure that the world's Jews return to Israel and occupy all of Palestine. To facilitate that process, Dispensationalists have been leading groups of pilgrims to Israel since Falwell's first visit in order to win financial and political support for the Jewish settlements in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The late Grace Halsell, author of Prophecy and Politics, participated in two Falwell-led pilgrimages to Israel in 1983 and 1985, and quotes a fellow Christian pilgrim on the tour:

"The Jews must own all of the land promised by God before Christ can return. The Arabs have to leave this land because this land belongs only to the Jews. God gave all of this land to the Jews." (p.87)

The late Ed MacAteer, considered to be the godfather of the Religious Right, talked about his expansionist dreams for Israel in an interview on CBS' 60 Minutes: Zion's Christian Soldiers.

"I believe that we are seeing prophecy unfold so rapidly and dramatically and wonderfully and, without exaggerating, makes me breathless. Every grain of sand between the Dead Sea, the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea belongs to the Jew." When asked if that includes the West Bank and Gaza, his answer was "Every bit of it." "

As the star Mrs. Bachman held forth on matters far beyond her pay grade and was a reliable hoofer on the boards of the Republican vaudeville stage but it was her husband Marcus who brought fans of grand burlesque to her shows as he minced and pouted and danced and vouged and rolled his eyes and squealed with delight and pranced in an ever expanding liturgical jig that was one part Lou Costello, one part Liza Minelli and the remainder a mixture of every out of work drag queen in the lower 48. There has never, ever been a sight so completely over the top in outrageousness and clueless unaware camp as Marcus Bachman. This fat fuck should have his hands and feet in cement in Hollywood.

Religion is a self fulfilling prophesy. Their religious texts tell them they must kill to extreme in order for their God to fulfill the Revelations of the Bible, or other religious texts. A religious person authorized to to launch atomic weapons, is more than dangerous. The Christian God is quite a killer, as proven by the Bible's stories. And their God promises centuries of war and death between his coming and his judgment day. And as the Bible states, he won't reappear until the world is at war and killing each other. Since humans have been constantly killing each other, it's easy to understand religious people have been claiming the end time is here, for thousands of years.
