If you ever wondered what a typical Donald Trump supporter looked like, well here you go.

Courtesy of Salon:

A woman named Susan DeLemus participated in a CNN focus group today and claimed that “we’ve got people who are in positions of power who I know for a fact are liars. Liars!”

She added that “my president comes on the TV and he lies to me! I know he’s lying to me! I know he’s lying! He lies to me all the time!” While her diatribe against lying is noteworthy in and of itself, it’s worth mentioning that she followed it up by saying she’s “never been involved in politics, never had an interest in any of it” — despite the fact that, as Gawker’s Jordan Sargent pointed out, she’s a New Hampshire state representative.

“I don’t believe any one of them,” she added. “I believe Donald. I tell you, he says what I’m thinking!”

"He says what I'm thinking."

Whoa Nelly! That's a terrifying thought!

You want to know the kicker? She's lying.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Susan DeLemus was elected in 2010 as a Republican to the state House of Representatives. DeLemus is a “birther,” meaning she is a conspiracy theorist who believes Obama was not born in the United States.

In 2011, DeLemus was one of the state lawmakers who fought to keep Obama’s name off state ballots because they believed he was a “treasonous liar” who wasn’t born in the States, according to the Atlantic.

“It just makes me want to throw up,” Rep. Susan DeLemus had said at the time. “Let’s just bury the Constitution now and have a funeral.”

Not only crazy, but a crazy liar.

And there you have it folks. These are the people who support Donald Trump.

Of course we here at IM know all about that kind don't we?

Because before they were Trump supporters they supported a certain batshit crazy, half term governor we all know and loathe.

Palin uses the crazy Obama birther nonsense to hide her fake pregnancy. Very opportunistic of her. She should thank him.

  4. Even after enduring eight years of W I have never been this scared. Trump supporters are the scum at the bottom of a septic tank and they terrify the bejeezus out of me! We MUST vote for whichever democratic candidate wins the primary or the consequences are too depressing and horrible to contemplate.

I can't wait for Sarah Palin to come out and criticize her former future son-in-law. Or maybe Brancy will do it. Or maybe they will all keep their mouths shut because they don't want Dakota spilling any secrets.

I woke up wondering who Trump's supporters are as it troubles me his poll numbers rise with his hate speech. It is remarkable this woman told a blatant lie that is easily disproved. She seems like she is the type who needs to be right instead of concerned with truth.

I felt alarmed reading that Trump is claiming "every one" agrees with him elaborating middle easterners agree with him also. That is not what is reported.

Yeah, they don't know how they "know," they just do. THIS is what this country has come to. I will vote and support candidates but I do wonder if it has gone too far to come back. The grand experiment in Democracy might fail because of greed and ignorance.

Jerry DeLemus, who heads a large chapter of the 9/12 group founded by Glenn Beck, attempted in 2013 to turn the Tea Party organization into a militia that might be used to overthrow the state government.

“If we do not stand against this insanity we can be sure we will fully slip into tyranny,” he said at the time. “We are in a similar position our Founding Fathers found themselves in, and their decision to stand was equally difficult.”

Jerry DeLemus apparently was the security team member who asked Jerad and Amanda Miller to leave the Bundy ranch just weeks before they gunned down two Las Vegas police officers.

He also planned, but later abandoned, a “draw Mohammed” contest similar to the one organized by anti-Muslim provocateur Pam Geller that ended in gunfire in Texas.

Why do right-wingers lie about their political ties? If I were a constituent of this woman, I'd be really annoyed that my tax dollars were paying salary and benefits to a woman who denied that she was my elected representative to the state Legislature. (Needless to say, I would never have voted for her.)

Most of these reports — including that Al-Jazeera story — neglect to mention that Jerry DeLemus actually works for the Trump campaign as co-chair of the candidate’s “Veterans for Trump” coalition or as head of the Granite State Patriots Liberty PAC.

NPR’s Robert Siegel interviewed the couple in October, and his report neglected to mention the Marine Corps veteran’s campaign role — but he did point out that Jerry DeLemus had organized the infamous rally where Trump failed to correct a man who called Obama a Muslim.

Siegel’s report, which aired Oct. 26, sheds some light on what type of honesty Jerry and Susan DeLemus expect from their elected leaders.

“I asked Jerry DeLemus what he thinks when he watches C-SPAN and two members of Congress of opposite parties address each other politely, ceremoniously,” Siegel said. “To Jerry, it is not civility. It’s a fake. It’s lying.”

Jerry DeLemus, who drove 3,000 miles to take part in the Bundy ranch standoff, apparently thinks anything less than political violence is dishonest in the current polarized and highly partisan atmosphere.

“They go, ‘Oh, my good friend, my colleague — whatever,'” Jerry DeLemus said. “Well, half of us would like to punch the guy in the mouth ourselves. You know, we’re going, ‘You’re not doing what you’re supposed to do. The other guy’s lying, and you know it. Call him on it.'”

    Time to boycott CBS:

CEO of CBS News Caught Celebrating Trump’s Bigotry: He’s Making Us ‘Phenomenal’ Profits

At a recent investors’ presentation, CBS president and CEO Leslie Moonves revealed his hand: Donald Trump’s bigotry is “phenomenal” for the company’s profits and ratings, and he hopes the Donald keeps escalating.

“Go Donald! Keep getting out there!” Moonves said at the UBS Bank-sponsored event.

The CBS chief went on to laud the ever-increasing flow of cash into political advertising campaigns as great for business, saying, “The more they spend, the better it is for us.”
