New York woman takes to Facebook and eviscerates the Ammosexuals.

Actually, it should be as hard to get a gun in the south as it is to get an abortion.
Waiting time, transnational ultrasounds, walking through lines of protesters....
Yep, just as hard for a protected, constitutional right

She forgot one big one, make owning a gun have the same costs as owning a car... yearly gun registration taxes and mandatory insurance. Make gun insurance a rider on your home owners insurance. That way these idiots will have something tangible as a back up to their stupidity should they kill someone by "mistake".

And let the Social Security Administration run the gun insurance program and use the premiums to expand Social Security programs.

    3. I got a better one. (And I think the Swiss and possible Israel do this.)

If you want to own a gun, as the 2nd amendment allows, they you are automatically compelled to be an enlisted member of the militia, I.E. you are a member of the National Guard of your state.

Compulsory enlistment and training. You will be required to pass the physical and mental tests required for enlistment. And all of the regulations can be compelled under enlistment up to and including lock boxes, trigger locks, what weapons and ammo are allowed, etc.

How many of these ammosexuals would enlist and how many would pass requirements?

All allowed under the constitution. Remember, "well regulated militia" comes FIRST in the amendment and the "shall not be infringed" relates back to the well regulated militia.

  10. This is perfect. NRA asswipes have compared gun control to cars by pointing out deaths from car accidents kill people as much as guns but no one advocates taking our cars away. OK, so let's regulate gun manufacturers and gun ownership as much as we do the auto industry and car ownership.

  11. Personally, I LOVE it! However, as the local ammosexuals pointed out to me, 1) they were offended by the term ammosexuals (even though it IS an accurate term); 2) gun ownership is a constitutional right (so is abortion, but they didn't like that either); 3) driving is a privilege. Ammosexuals are what they are. Personally I am a hermit that only ventures out to go to work, the post office, and occasionally the grocery store. In my little corner of bang, bang crazy America it's the smart way to live.

    2. We have plenty of "rights" that are "regulated".

I say regulate them up their asses and make them PAY. Insurance for a Porsche is more than for a Corolla. If I can't afford car insurance, I can't own or drive a car in my state.

Why should gun ownership be exempt from common regulations and responsibilities? It says right in the 2nd amendment: WELL REGULATED.

Well, right now the regulation are a piece of CRAP. We have shitty regulations. So, time to step up and enforce the 2nd amendment.

All that she wants is good and what I want. BUT, I also want to see some penalties for irresponsible ownership. Owners who leave their guns left out unattended and with bullets inside for some kid to pick up and play with should face charges of some sort. That is just plain stupid and can cost lives. If there were penalties fewer would be that stupid. More guns would be out of reach. Hard penalties. I know that they suffer when the kid dies or kills someone else. But, damn it. That is avoidable and maybe with the fear of a large enough automatic penalty, those sorts of "accidents" would be greatly reduced. How many poor oafs are in jail because of mandatory drug sentences? Do the same for oafs whose bad habits with their guns lead to accidental shooting.

    5. Absolutely, 4:49.

Meanwhile, as is usual for the gunhumper and ammosexual crowd, 8:23 conveniently leaves out the well-regulated militia clause of the 2nd amendment.

It is an amendment to a document, which can itself be amended, as well as having the first clause enforced.

      it is not scripture.

    6. Anonymous1:35 PM

      Wrong Nefer, as usual.

      As per a below post:

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed- is a precursor to a well regulated militia necessary to the security of a free state.

The gun control crowd is always trying to move the goal posts on this issue, while the 2nd amendment has been well established as it stands.

      Delete
    7. 8:23 --

No one is infringing your right to own and bear arms.

That doesn't mean you get as many free guns and ammo as you can carry.

You don't have the right to a lethal free for all.

You want to own guns, then you're part of a militia and shall be WELL REGULATED.

Like everything else in this country, you will have to be able to afford it. You will be required to be responsible. If your irresponsibility results in maiming or death, you will be required to pay a penalty just as if you hit someone with your car. Of course a car isn't designed to kill people and a gun is. So your regulations are going to be stricter, your insurance is going to be more expensive, it is not going to be "convenient".

      Tough shit.

What part of WELL-REGULATED do you not understand?

    8. Cars have to be inspected to. They have to be operable, have a windshield, bumpers, etc. This could be part of the insurance system but I prefer it to be part of the licensing system.

You have to bring your guns and all accoutrements for inspection. That means a working gun lock for every weapon. A gun safe with tamper proof lock. A separate ammo box with tamper proof lock.

Every piece will need a stick to show pass of inspection.

You don't get body armor or certain types of ammo.

There is nothing in the 2nd amendment that forbids REGULATING of firearms.

EVERY right must have limits in a civilized society. The people who are gnashing their teeth and rending their garments over ANY limits whatsoever being placed on their gun free-for-all are the very same who applaud the new laws that prevent legal voters from exercising THEIR Constitutional rights.

They're just fine with the resulting voter suppression because it overwhelmingly affects voters who traditionally support Democrats. I guess they figure the right to have unlimited ability to kill your fellow human beings is a more important right than the right to vote.

And yet they'll call themselves 'patriots'.

Guns are. That is their PRIMARY purpose.

People died from driving like shit and not wearing their seat belts or because other people drove like shit and hurt good drivers. Now we all have to wear our seat belts, even if we never get into a situation where a seat belt can save our lives.

Have you been drinking? Over the limit, but you know you're ok to drive (and maybe you really are)? You will still get arrested for DWI and maybe even have your license taken away.

Don't have insurance? You can't drive.

It has nothing to do with blame or taking things away. It has to do with regulation to make everything safer because we live in a civilized society with other people.

    Plus the insurance mentioned above.

    And ADD AMMO! And CLIPS!

    That's part of your regulation.

There is no reason the average sportsman needs armor piercing bullets. They don't need body armor either. They don't need 30 round clips.

No one needs ASSAULT RIFLES. The very term, ASSAULT, implies they are for killing PEOPLE.

If you want to kill people join the National Guard. That's your MILITIA! If you don't want to, then you don't get assault rifles, body armor, armor piercing bullets, high capacity magazines, etc. You are not in a militia and you don't use them for HUNTING.

I really don't get why our government can regulate everything else up the wazoo ad infinitum but can't keep a loaded revolver out of the hands of a 2 year old.

We regulate the hell out of all sorts of things not even mentioned in the Constitution. Well, the Constitution says we can REGULATE our militia. If the general public wants to call themselves a militia, then we get to regulate them to hell and back.

Of course, the only way we will succeed is to take on the NRA and political lobbying. Both of which are extremely corrupt and need a thorough house cleaning. Seems to me Homeland Security could help with the one. Not sure what we can do about lobbying, especially with ALEC owning so many politicians.

I'm convinced that the only thing that would cause the NRA to change their inflexible stance is an accidental or deliberate shooting that takes the life of some high-ranking leader of the organization or a member of their family.

If they were heartless enough to not be horrified by the slaughter of children at Sandy Hook, nothing short of a personal tragedy will move them to act. What's so absurd is that they vilify the same limits they themselves advocated years ago, before they became the lobbyists for gun manufacturers.
