Ted Cruz supporters explain how President Obama ruined America and Christmas. Oh no, not Christmas!

"We don't need a President like Obama no more. He's ruined our country...he's ruined Christmas..he's let the Muslims in...we can't say that word, we got to be ashamed of everything. And we're not ashamed people, we're a proud people and we're going to take our country back. So watch out Obama we're coming."

Yep, I think that is a fair representation of the type of people attracted to the Ted Cruz campaign.

By the way somebody reach out to Sarah Palin and tell her that she can stop wondering where all of her supporters went, cause we found'em.

JHC! I cannot believe we have senior citizens in our country who are so stupid! I'm embarrassed for them!

These seem to be the quantity of folks currently favoring the likes of Trump and Cruz!

What is the Republican party to do? They have a heck of a mess on their white hands!

Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States and I will happily provide her my vote!

These are the type of people who have Fox News on all the time and wing nut radio talkers shoving fear into their ears.

Whatever else these people suffer from, ignorance and racism etc, they grew up at a time when the news was basically the news. Today we have opinion and barely disguised propaganda on every channel including the internet. I'm not sure they understand the difference.

Without the skills to seek out the facts, they are simple-minded people who have become terrified. Terrified people can no longer think rationally.

Unfortunately, many of the younger folk have become so jaded to it all, to them it's become a game they are out to win. We've become a divided country fighting against each other, while the corporate powers sit back and watch.

Yes, they do not know the difference between newscasters and opinionators. In fact, when I watch American newscasts or CNN, mostly what I see IS opinionators. So different from what we experience up here in the Great White North.
The GOP have used fear as the great motivator since at least Reagan's era. It works for them some of the time, and they must be blessing ISIS for stirring it up just in time for the US election. And this fear, irrational as it may be, is drawing more folks into the "Help me God" megachurches. A vicious cycle, where rational thought has no place within the willfully ignorant Republican circle. After all, the corporate world that pays their bills wouldn't like that very much....

Boy, if that's not the truth, Mildred! Opinion and propaganda, not to mention a bunch of people screaming over each other to get the last word.

I will be so glad when the old wing of the repubes dies out! Nostalgia is NOT a good reason to elect someone who claims they can turn back the hand of time - especially when the charges being used as a "selling point" are grossly inaccurate and downright lies.

    1. Democrats continue to be younger than Republicans on average (47.7 vs. 49.7

So Democrats are on average two years younger.

What needs to happen is that more young people register as Democrats than Republicans. Then eventually the old people die off and you have more and more Democrats.

Of course, this is offset by the quiverfulls like the Duggars. They are out to single handedly outbreed Democrats and personally produce enough Republicans to maintain a majority.

Well, this lady lives in some weird world all her own. Those of us, including Democrats like me, who celebrate Christmas had a wonderful Christmas this year - with family and friends and even religious services for many. At our house the tree is still up (until Jan. 6) and we'll be entertaining and enjoying Christmas music for at least another week. Maybe this lady has been out in the sun too long.

    1. Funny how what's sauce for Obama isn't for Cruz.

Obama is Kenyan per his Father even though born in Hawaii, yet Cruz is American even though born in Canada. (Same holds true for McCain only at least he has a stronger case via military deployment.)

Funny how being a Catholic isn't an issue like it was in Kennedy's day. Or does no one remember how being Catholic was a real worry in the campaign lest the Pope hold undue influence over our President.

Can we call it progress if people don't care about a Catholic President any more, but still get upset over a Mormon, Jewish, Muslim or Atheist one?

I am surprised that they don't have any problem with Cruz's Canadian birth and Cuban heritage. I mean after all, don't those two facts make him a part of "those people" that they want to "take our country back" from?

This video is reminiscent of the interviews with Palin fans lined up to buy 'Going Rouge'. When asked what they admired about her, most of the answers were equally profound. The really smart ones didn't try to form a thought, but just relied on Palinisms, like "the status quo has to go" type babble.

I hope someone with patience can explain to these two that THEY are the minority in America. I love the look on the woman's face, she truly believes POTUS is a Muslim, and if she only read her constitution, there may be a day when we DO get a Muslim president. Cruz is pandering to the evangelicals and they don't realize they're being patronized for political gain.

How did President Obama ruin Christmas? My neighborhood is covered in Santa inflatables. Even our Jewish and Muslim neighbors have Christmas trees. I don't even believe Jesus was born on December 25 or that his mother was a virgin and yet we have a tree and wrapped gifts, lights, and poinsettias everywhere. She probably doesn't know that this is all pagan rituals. I always wonder how these folks are supposed to be the superior race. We've been duped.
