Despite being completely exonerated by a Texas grand jury, Republicans have no intention of ending their witch hunt against Planned Parenthood.

"I'm in the middle of an investigation, stop trying to distract me with facts."
Courtesy of HuffPo:

Republicans are determined to push on with their investigation of Planned Parenthood, even after a Texas grand jury cleared the organization of wrongdoing on Monday and instead indicted two anti-abortion activists who targeted the family planning provider in a series of undercover videos.

The grand jury’s decision hasn’t affected Republicans' plans to continue investigating Planned Parenthood, however. Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), who is chairing a select investigative committee that purports to be investigating “big abortion providers" -- but for all intents and purposes is only scrutinizing Planned Parenthood -- said in a statement Tuesday that “the mission of our investigation has not changed.”

“We will continue to gather information and get the facts about medical practices of abortion service providers and the business practices of the procurement organizations who sell baby body parts,” Blackburn said. “These are issues of importance to the American people. We will study the laws on the books and follow the facts to defend life."

Blackburn's committee was created even as other Republicans, like Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), said they didn’t find any evidence of wrongdoing on the provider’s part. Multiple state investigations have come to similar conclusions.

Those are your tax dollars at work folks.

Just to provide a little context, the Republicans are also still investigating Benghazi.

Republicans, if there is a dead horse around, you can bet they all busy beating it.

There needs to be a law with cut-off time. No more funding once the truth is determined. Don't let them just go again and again when it is clear they will never stop until they get the answer they want.

It is criminal that they can spend tax payer money for their own personal vendettas over and over and over. They really do have no shame.

It really does astound how Replicans help themselves to taxpayer money---with no tangible benefit to taxpayers!

    2. How about once an investigation has concluded no wrong doing, if a senator or congressman wants to reopen, they just fund it out of their own private pocket, plus they lose all of their state's pork in the next budget.

I like the idea, Mia and 1:33, but I'm fairly certain the bastards would merely begin to use the "New Evidence" claim and do it anyway.

  2. Is it glue yet?

There is a novel idea, a congressperson with anything that even resembles shame! As if anyone capable of feeling shame would run for congress.

Sarah Palin Defends Trump Skipping ‘Ballyhooed Media Debate’ With Indecipherable Word Salad

...After Trump decided to throw his hissy fit and not attend the Fox News GOP debate being moderated by Megyn Kelly, because apparently he is allergic to her cooties, Palin decided to take to Facebook (as she does) and lay down her defense of the hotel magnate.

Quick read through of the report yields
-Aries Petra, LLC (RAM) received a final disbursement in late August
-Rob Maness and Chris Gibson never cashed their donation checks (-$1500 from whatever SarahPAC has donated to candidates last year)
      -Cash on hand 12/31/2015 $380,963.17

There's been a little belt-tightening at ol' SarahPAC

Bootle is the only parliamentary constituency in the United Kingdom in which the Monster Raving Loony Party—clowns in glam-rock attire with fruity-colored hair who canvas under the “Vote for Insanity” banner—surpassed a bona fide national party in a Parliamentary election. So what would the clearly open-minded Bootle voters make of U.S. billionaire Donald J. Trump and his “anti-establishment” campaign in the U.S. presidential election? I went to Bootle to find out.

Donald Trump Is Shocking, Vulgar and Right

And, my dear fellow Republicans, he's all your fault.

About fifteen years ago, I said something nasty on CNN about Donald Trump’s hair. I can’t now remember the context, assuming there was one. In any case, Trump saw it and left a message the next day.

“It’s true you have better hair than I do,” Trump said matter-of-factly. “But I get more pussy than you do.” Click.

As The GOP Crumbles Republicans Blame Sarah Palin For Their Demise

...Republicans are just starting to admit the danger their party is in, but they haven’t hit on the proper reasons yet.

In an effort to avoid looking inward, Republicans are blaming Sarah Palin for Donald Trump.

Nicolle Wallace, a former senior adviser to McCain/Palin in their 2008 campaign, wrote a scathing piece at the New York Times – “Sarah Palin, Rage Whisperer”, in which she blames Palin for Trump, “Mr. Trump has now usurped and vastly expanded upon Ms. Palin’s constituency, but the connection between the two movements is undeniable.”

This tortured piece holds Palin responsible for wrapping herself in the rage of the voters, “Her legacy lies in her innate ability to wrap herself in the anger that those voters felt.” The gist of it is that Palin stoked rage and turned the Tea Party against the establishment and now they have Trump.

So let’s start off here. Sarah Palin isn’t new to the Republican Party and they picked her for a reason.

The Saudi Prince who was photoshopped in an image with Megyn Kelly dissed Donald Trump for retweeting the picture.

In a tweet Thursday, Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz al Saud reminded Trump that he had "bailed out" the presidential frontrunner multiple times in the past.

Sarah's followers have deserted her, the donations are the responses to those ultra expensive mailouts that didn't make their money back.

Given all of Sarah's current bad publicity (Bristol, Track, PACscam) is not going to go away this year, we can safely say that SarahPAC is over. And therefore so is Sarah.

      Bye, Moonface.

OT but AK is in the top two again of best places to live:

    http://www.adn.com/article/20160128/want-feel-better-lower-48ers-move-alaska-or-hawaii

Hawaii is wonderful and we Alaskans love our winter getaways to HI but there are a lot of people down there and for many of us it's just way too hot...even in our February getaway it takes me 3 days of our 10 day vacation to even acclimate...

I like the notion of spending March-October in AK and November-February in HI...sweet retirement, only 15 more years!

You are right, there are some terrible things that happen out in the villages, people living in third world conditions while we on the road system live just like anywhere else. It is sad, but it can take a while for indigenous populations to assimilate.

I've been here for 35 years and it's amazing the progress we've made with availability of goods and services. It used to be that we would have to buy an extra suitcase and shop for clothes to bring back when traveling outside, but now local shopping is really stepping up and with Amazon Prime we can have so many goods shipped up for free, at even less cost than shopping locally.

I love AK, I spend a lot of time outdoors, and it's nice that wilderness is close and convenient, and in the winter Hawaii is close, cheap and convenient as well, when the darkness gets to be a little overwhelming.

Marsha, Marsha Marsha. This wo(man) is quite possibly the most hideous looking and acting person currently serving(?)
Our government with maybe the exception of Jan Brewer.
Blackburn is a complete phony and with all that pancake makeup and straw like bottle blond hair she reminds me of Baby Jane Hudson.
