Courtesy of Yahoo Politics:Florida Sen. Marco Rubio says he bought a gun on Christmas Eve to protect his family from Islamic State militants.
“I have a right to protect my family,” Rubio said in an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday. “I have a right to protect my family if someone were to come after us. In fact, if ISIS were to visit us or our communities at any moment, the last line of defense between ISIS and my family is the ability I have to protect my family from them or from a criminal or anyone else who seeks to do us harm. Millions of Americans feel that way.”
You know here's the thing about terrorism.
If you live in fear of terrorism, or spend your money on weapons to protect yourself and your family from terrorism, or give up your liberties in response to terrorism, the terrorists have already won.
And if Marco Rubio literally believes that this handgun of his makes his family ANY safer from a terrorist threat then he is too stupid to run for school crossing guard much less President of the United States.
So how much did the NRA, Gun Lobby and Gun manufactures pay him for this!
ReplyDeleteI'm confused, Marco. You work in DC, which is a gunfree city, and the halls of Congress do not allow guns. So your handgun is illegal to carry at work (on the rare times you show up for that.)
ReplyDeleteYou are campaigning all across the country, and can't take your precious handgun on commercial jets. So, pretty boy, where is it, and who has it? Is it locked away from your kids? Does your wife have a permit too? Is she trained? Just who are you afraid of? And are we going to see a breaking news item that a Rubio was shot in the Rubio home while you were cleaning your 'unloaded' weapon?
Kind of clever (or sick)that those shirts you are selling are blood red. Is the NRA getting a cut?
For an attorney, you re pretty stupid. Read the amendment. It does not say what you and the gun lobby thinks it says. But hey, they're your children. If you want to endanger them every day by having a gun in your home, THAT is your right. But my suggestion is you stop pandering and start acting like an adult. You and the rest of the GOP.

Well said! This is the reply that needs to be said to his face.
DeleteBut he's just the right amount of stupid for the carnival of half wits with which he performs.
ReplyDeleteI think Rubio needs to grow up a little more before running for president. He is too immature to be a senator but Florida is stuck with him for now.
ReplyDeleteAnd 1,200 people LIKE that shirt message.
ReplyDeleteWhere can one click DISLIKE?
Dumb pandering Marco. Never bring a gun to a bomb fight.
ReplyDeleteSo who in his household is going to shoot the ISIS terrorist? He's not home very much.
ReplyDeleteBeaglemom
Rubio is so far removed from reality, if anyone were to confront him, he would most likely soil his panties.
DeleteLet's hope little Marco is not at his girlfriend's house if the terrorists come after his family!! How fast can he run in those Cuban heeled boots? He is likely in more danger from his drug dealer brother in law's cohorts than ISIS.
ReplyDeleteIm thinking about buying a cannon in case the Canadians think about infiltrating my Taco Bell in Wasilla.
ReplyDelete-Lou Sarah
Well ISIS is getting their laugh of the day, handgun vs suicide bomber, guess who wins.
ReplyDeleteI am sure ISIS will accommodate Marco and give him enough warning to unlock, load and have his gun ready before they ring his door bell and tell him they have arrived.
Only a republican would hawk t-shirts while running for the most powerful job in the world. Doesn't his senate position with benefits pay enough to support his family without the sales job?
Representing my constituents by voting is a suggestion, not a requirement of my job.
ReplyDelete- Marco Rubio
I wonder if Marco thinks that he represents his constituents by taking a fat paycheck and generous benefits. Hmmm.
DeleteBeaglemom
IF...IF...IF...IF...; the very worst line of reasoning in the world to cause one to buy a gun.
ReplyDelete"Paranoia will destroy ya..."
Delete-- The Kinks
I've never understood the mentality of constantly looking over one's shoulder afraid of the big bad boogeyman.
DeleteThe GOP panders to it.
If Rubio wants to protect his family, maybe he ought to spend more time with them, and live with them full time. Get a job closer to his home.
ReplyDeleteThis is the guy that is suppose to save the GOP from Trump and Cruz?
ReplyDeleteRubio has always come across to me as a kid - looks like one too!
ReplyDeleteEvery time he's mentioned, I picture the bottled water SOTU rebuttal. What a putz.
DeleteThe crazy keeps increasing in the Republican'ts.
ReplyDeleteLike juveniles, they have to be cool. Rubio wants in on the cool kids, so he has to tout a gun to go along with his Saturday Night Fever boots.
ReplyDeleteI did hear that South Beach is an ISIS stronghold.
ReplyDeleteWaterboy is constantly on the campaign trail and never at home with his family, so how could he possibly protect them?
ReplyDeleteThat wuss Rubio would shit all over himself if Isis were even 1000 miles away. What a punk.
ReplyDeleteI suppose you think having a fire extinguisher in case of a fire makes you too stupid to run for president?
ReplyDeleteHad any of the victims in San Bernardino had weapons, there would have probably been a lot less loss of life and injuries.
Except for the crossfire that might hit innocents. And the police arriving not knowing which were the good guys with guns and which were the bad guys with guns.
DeleteCorrection. Marco Rubio never felt the need for a gun until a check from the NRA came in and cleared, so be bought one for Christmas to pander to the gun rubbing ammosexual vote. Don't know who Marco thinks he's fooling, but he's insulting normal people's intelligence.
