Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Neil deGrasse Tyson schools rapper promoting the flat earth theory.
What's happened to education in this country that in 2016 someone can actually believe something that was believed in the middle ages? And that goes for religion too. It's like the human intellect is regressing.
B.o.B. A mega rich musician who dropped out of school in the nigh grade, against his parent's wishes, and is idolized by those who buy his music. There once was a time when one would have been humiliated by such a take down in public. I'm sure he just loves the publicity.
Ok, Dr. Tyson is entitled to his opinion, sure. It's a free country. But shouldn't he be more respectful of Mr. B's opinion - if that's even his real name, which I suspect it is not? Seems very rude of him to be so certain HIS opinion is right. Just cuz he went to some college for book learning isn't justification for lording his opinion over others. There ARE two sides to every story, aren't there? What makes Tyson such an expert? It's not rocket sci....
I'd never heard of that particular rapper but suffice it to say, their genre of music doesn't exactly promote intelligence. So sad, that this kid can make money off hateful music promoting gang violence and stupidity.
OK that was funny 7:13 But seriously, check out his twitter
"No matter how high in elevation you are... the horizon is always eye level ... sorry cadets... I didn't wanna believe it either."
He is either very clever and trying to be funny or very ignorant. His twitter is filled with defensive tweets after the Tyson video. Tons of "evidence" for a flat earth.
Boscoe - It amazes me that, in a world where countries can't agree on the most basic things, someone could actually believe that the governments of EVERY country (even those that are sworn enemies of each other) could conspire to carry out these grandiose, nefarious plots for the sole purpose of fooling some gas station cashier in Iowa.

DeleteJust a waste of air, that one is. Bling, those nasty things they put on their teeth and a bad attitude; lots of drugs and baby mamas.
DeleteA sick world these rappers promote. I'm very happy that the people I know don't recognize this sort of thing as music, which it's not.
Why does the Right Wing glory in their ignorance and wear their stupidity as a badge of honor?

ReplyDeleteOh. Right.
Never mind.
Beldar? Is that you?

ReplyDeleteHe should also get off your lawn.

After being schooled by Tyson he should change his name to B.o.o.B.
DeleteNeil deGrasse Tyson - Making science cool.
ReplyDelete(Has B.o.B never seen photographs of the earth from space or are those supposedly some big conspiracy, too?)
Yes, that is exactly what they think. The beliefs of flat-earthers rely entirely on the idea that science is a massive conspiracy.

DeleteHOO RAH !!!
ReplyDeleteFlat earthers, climate change deniers, trickle-down theory believers, gun-clingers: the core of the modern GOP!
ReplyDeleteNeil deGrasse Tyson is the best! Frankly, I'd love to see him run for office. What a great guy - and funny, too! I loved his gravity demonstration.
