Planned Parenthood to sue organization that tried to destroy their reputation with those doctored videos.

Courtesy of  The Hill:

Planned Parenthood on Thursday filed a long-awaited federal lawsuit against the anti-abortion activists who have targeted the group with undercover videos for the last year.

The formal complaint marks the first time that Planned Parenthood has taken legal action against the group, the Center for Medical Progress.

The national organization, along with its California affiliate, is accusing the Center for Medical Progress and its organizer David Daleiden for unlawful behavior ranging from secret taping to trespassing. The group said the Center for Medical Progress has violated the laws of three states as well as federal law.

“Today, Planned Parenthood is going on the offense,” Kathy Kneer, president of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California said in a call with reporters.

In response, Daleiden released a statement that said “game on.”

“I look forward to deposing all the CEOs, Medical Directors, and their co-conspirators who participated in Planned Parenthood's illegal baby body parts racket,” he said.

Well I am looking forward to this as well.

However I do not think that the outcome will be quite as this Daleiden guy predicts.

By the way just to be clear asking for compensation to cover costs while providing fetal samples to scientists is not illegal.

The only thing that would make it illegal is if Planned Parenthood was attempting to profit off of those parts.

Those videos showed no such thing.

Time for David's "secret donors" to be revealed.

Exactly what my first thought was -- cannot wait to find out where the money trail leads, and to whom it leads.

  4. I hope this lawsuit bankrupts this "Center for Medical Progress" outfit.

I hope they go as far of the Center For Medical Progress food chain as they can go, forcing liquidation of assets to pay for damages...

And the funds can then be earmarked to provide abortions to women who cannot afford to pay...

(Sorry, OT): Sarah Palin Calls Josh Earnest an “Idiot” in Most Mangled, Idiotic Sentence Ever

"You have to give it to Sarah Palin — the woman does not rest up. Her Facebook page is a goldmine of breathless idiocy, and she appears more determined than ever to satiate her fans’ thirst for moronic political analysis."

Thanks for the link. Reading the word salad again I got her (crazy) point that the sailors admission they made a mistake and were accidentally in Iranian waters was "apologizing" and "humiliating". Her twisted thinking is weak Obama "bent over" and Iran was "combatant".

Facts are irrelevant to her and other narcissists. Accountability of each party is nonexistent also. In her sick mind Iran deserved we go to war. It is frightening to imagine if she had a position of power instead of being like the Wizard of Oz behind a FB page and Brancy blog.

I like the way PP is fighting back!

I am so relieved that this lawsuit is happening. I'm assuming that it took a while because PP wanted to have every bit of evidence in order. I want to see egg on the faces of every GOP idiot who ran with this outrageous fake story.

  8. Here's hoping Planned Parenthood makes a major win against this horrendous slander...

  9. I would not be surprised to hear that PP gets an injunction that stops Daleiden and others from speaking about this case while it is in court. That is what I would recommend to stop any and all rhetoric on both sides from being slung far and wide.

Someone needs to have a tough talk with that smirking, snot-nosed little twerp. Every state that has investigated has found NOTHING. No illegality, no profiteering, no wrongdoing. ZIP ZILCH NADA.

Actually I don't think the discovery will go as Daleiden thinks it will. He may ask about "baby parts" but he won't get any answers because the PP lawyers will object for relevance. The lawsuit is about CMP's breach of contract, fraud, etc. Not about "baby parts"

With the advances in technology, it astounds me what people will fall for because they saw it on the Internet or television. Sensationalism, people, do your research.

The same can be said for the onslaught of upcoming political ads.

Good News, for a change. Hope they win and win big, in the process expose the tactics and lies used in each film. One less dead horse to kick around, and Roe vs Wade is still the law of the land.
Every woman should incorporate her uterus and let these idiots pay for their stupidity.

I'd LOVE to be on that jury!

I hope Mr Daleiden and all his associates are taken for everything they are worth or will ever be.

The Hill's comment section is even worse than Politico's. The RWNJs flock to it. Maybe Drudge links to it, too.

  17. Not only that, in California it is illegal to videotape or record images or sounds without the consent of the subject. If any of those hidden cameras recorded video in California, their asses are grasses.

I hope this not only bankrupts them, but also puts liens on any future monies they may acquire, thus keeping them bankrupt into the future.

The only downside is after Planned Parenthood is done with them, the survivors of Dear's victims won't have anything left to sue for for the part they played in the wrongful deaths Dear caused motivated by these videos.

  19. It doesn't matter if PP loses. The important thing is standing your ground and making your case. Attacks that go unchecked embolden and encourage more. Make being an asshole costly.
