This is what we should have been watching instead of that Republican 3 ring circus last night. The Rachel Maddow interview with Hillary Clinton.

Courtesy of Salon:

“Your campaign, in my estimation, set its hair on fire a little bit,” Maddow told Clinton, assessing the decision to cast Sanders’ latest campaign ad as his first negative ad of the campaign to be a bit of a reach with only days to go before the first votes of the cycle.

“Now, I’ve seen the ad that you’re referring to. Honestly, it is not much of an attack,” Maddow argued, noting that the Sanders ad never mentions Clinton by name.

That is how this rather aggressive interview began last night, and to Rachel's credit she really did not seem to pull any of her punches. In fact I think a few times I saw Hillary stiffen up a few times.

And at the end of the interview I for one had a much better understanding for why Clinton went on the attack against Bernie and why she finds fault with his plan for healthcare, and is defensive about his claims that she will not be aggressive in dealing with Wall Street.

I watched that interview too. I've always loved Rachel, but I didn't like the way that segment opened at all. The whole network now seems like Fox Lite when it comes to Hillary. I've been turning it off.
But Hillary did a good job of explaining how much easier it would be to build on ACA.

There's nothing not to like about "the way that segment opened at all".

      You have issues.

Your comment is pompous judgmental. I agree with 2:44. And I used to love Rachel but now she just gets on my nerves.

I watched Rachael Maddow interview Hillary Clinton vs the Republican debates and I'm glad I did! (Especially after hearing and seeing portions of the debate replayed! I found Christie, Trump and Cruz to be friggin' jerks - but, I already knew that about them!)

Hillary Clinton was outstanding in her interview with Rachel Maddow. Found her to be level headed, knowledgeable, experienced - easily responding to Maddow's very direct questions.

Especially enjoyed hearing that hearty laugh of Mrs. Clinton! Maddow has more trouble laughing at things and herself - but, I do admire her and try never to miss her nightly show on cable (MSNBC). She's also an outstanding educator - someone we can all learn from as to our government and history.

Both women did an outstanding job on Rachel's show! Everyone should have seen it.

Hillary Clinton has my vote and I can hardly wait to cast it for her - much as I did for President Obama both times! She will lead our country far better than anyone on the Right and/or Extreme Right!

Republicans suck throughout our country and are making us look horrible to the rest of the world. Time we eliminate them from holding seats in the U.S. Congress and places on the state and local levels.

Vote Democratic every chance you get, Americans! Our government needs to follow in the footsteps of President Obama!

No, instead you vote against your own best interests and vote for Republicans who lie to you over and over again. Please can the sanctimony. It's what's really gross here.

The reason you never vote for Democrats is because you are a idiot who promotes stupidity and ignorance in the hope that it will make you feel better about yourself.

Hillary's job interview with Jimmy Fallon is also funny.

I thought she was a very good sport especially when he asked for her email address.

I feel the Bern! He is my choice. But, that being said, I will vote for HRC, if she wins the nomination. We need to prevent any Republicon from ever holding an office, including school boards and dog catchers.

No one can take it for granted that the Republican candidate will be the big loser. No matter who that is.

We have to all vote. Presidential vote and all the way down to the local level. I hope those who pass on the local election realize that even a great President is hindered without a good team on his/her side.

And we have to make the Senate blue again and add as much blue as possible to the House. We've put up with the GOP for long enough.

Thanks for the info. Yesterday I was preoccupied with too much to pay much attention to television, and I even overlooked tivo'ing Rachel and the clown posse to nowhere.

I love Bernie Sanders. I do. I think he has brought nothing but good to the Democratic campaign for the White House. But he is a one-note singer, and never gets beyond Wall Street. Yes, that is a major problem, and must be dealt with. But the next POTUS has to perform on a global stage. And in other domestic scenes. Today Walmart announced the closing of hundreds of stores, 10,000 laid off [not that they'll be more needy as unemployed Walmart workers than they were as employees of Walmart]. That means the demographic of people who shop at Walmart can no longer afford to shop there [thus, in my mind, the huge ballooning of pilfer crime]. Employment may be up, but not among Walmart shoppers.

As much as it feels good to think about pie-in-the-sky ideas on health care, sometimes that it not the best choice. I like the way she presented the issue.

Hilary Clinton showed up to do a comedy show and agreed to this extra interview, spur of the moment. She sounded intelligent, educated, and incredibly knowledgeable. Remember when Sarah Palin was the VP candidate? She would prepare for something like this for weeks, and she still couldn't answer simple questions like "What newspapers and magazines do you read?" So nice to see this supremely qualified woman exhibiting her knowledge of diplomacy and foreign policy. Sarah Palin's best qualification was that she could see Russia from her front porch. And now her daughter's best friend is an "exotic Russian". And my Republican brother-in-law says that Clinton "isn't qualified". Is there even one Republican candidate who has half Clinton's experience, poise, or skill? At best they are "bulls in a china cabinet". At worst, they are Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Ben Carson.

Clinton is completely owned by Wall Street, any fool knows this. She is just a total fraud. I wonder why she didn't do this interview with her stupid southern accent on. "This ain't no Tammy Wynette and stand by your man", ugh. She really is repulsive and it really sucks when you have to hold your nose when you vote for someone. Bitch thinks she's entitled to everything. Gee, I want to be a Senator, let's see. I'll change my accent and move to New York. I will represent them having never ever lived there. That's sounds like a plan and sheeple just voted the outsider/insider right on in.

She thought Dems were just as stupid when it came to the Presidency. It didn't work once, let's hope it doesn't work again. She's qualified, but she's a slave to big money and she should be ashamed
