Ted Cruz has a new ad out titled “Supreme Trust” that goes after Donald Trump on potential SCOTUS picks, saying that “we’re just one Supreme Court justice away” from losing on “Life. Marriage. Religious liberty” and “the 2nd Amendment.” The ad also shows the clip of Trump telling Tim Russert that he’s “very pro-choice” and would not support a ban on partial-birth abortion.
Okay so according to the gloom and doom ad up above allowing Trump to choose the next Supreme Court Justice would mean the loss of "life, religious liberty, marriage, AND the 2nd Amendment?"
Who's he going to nominate, the Terminator?
Look I am in complete agreement that we don't want Donald Trump to choose any Supreme Court Justices.
However to be honest, if I had to choose between Trump doing the job and Ted Cruz making the choices, I am all in for a Trump presidency.
But let's face it, neither one of those bozos are going to be doing any nominating, because they are not going to get anywhere near the White House.
And the reason for that is because on the day that Anonin Scalia passed away liberals from all over the country sat up and said, "Shit just got real."
So yes my friends we are going to be showing up in droves, black, Hispanic, gay, female, middle class, religious and non-religious combined together to make the most unbeatable voting block in the history of this great country.
And not only are we going to deny the White House to the Republicans, yet AGAIN, but we are going to make sure that the Supreme Court is filled with as many intelligent, fair minded, and reasonable people as possible.
Count on it.
In a country where probably fifty percent of the population can't name a single Supreme Court justice, I wish I could share your optimism G, that D's will suddenly show up en masse to vote this November.
ReplyDeleteIt's on you and me and everyone else who cares to get out the vote.
DeleteGet people registered, get them to vote.
If everyone who cared turned out one infrequent democratic voter the landslide would be epic.
The yuuuge media coverage already will penetrate,
DeleteI hope.
And, by the way, thanks Scalia, you finally did right by your country.
Sorry for the off topic but
ReplyDeletehttp://www.rawstory.com/2016/02/former-white-house-staffer-andy-card-sept-11th-was-a-spectacular-day-for-george-w-bush/
"According to Card, “President Bush provided the leadership” necessary to reform the intelligence community.
“The reality is the world changed on that September 11th, 2001 day,” the former chief of staff said. “That was a spectacular day. And I whispered a second plane hit the second tower, America was under attack. That’s when the president of the United States had to step up and keep the oath of office that he took.”
Card added: “And this is about picking a president right now, And I want to have a president that will have the courage to protect us, to make the tough decisions that must be made and I’m convinced Jeb Bush is the right person to do that."
What
The
Fuck?
"That was a spectacular day."???
My Pet Goat.
I'm with you on Trump vs Cruz. I don't like either one but Cruz is much worse. He is such an arrogant asshole that I am almost happy to watch Trump beat him. I also love that it ticks off the Republican "establishment" so much..
ReplyDeleteTrump is "just" a petulant, spoiled malignant ass. Cruz is all that *plus* a religious whackadoo who wants to nuke Israel so Jebus will come back and Rapture everyone. Also, too, Cruz wants to turn the USA into a Christianist concentration camp.
Deletefrom your mouth to dog's ear
ReplyDeleteDon't be mean, Gryphen.
ReplyDeleteTheodore "Ted" Cruz means that if Trump is elected, CRUZ'S world as CRUZ knows it, will end. He just wants us to know that his own failure to fulfill biblical prophesies and rise to Ultimate Power over the World will make him - and Jeebus - very sad, that's all.
Trump was on the news this morning saying Cruz was a liar, he was attacked at the debate, Bush Jr. Was at fault for 9/11 and the Iraq war, and nothing can hurt Jeb! Because he's so far down in the polls.
ReplyDeleteAt first I was upset about Trump running, now I am loving it. Not that I would ever vote for any of these clowns, Evertime there is an online poll I click I'm voting for Trump! Love it!
I just wish Christie had stayed in a little longer to smack Rubio upside the head a few more times.
DeleteRight On Gryphon! You should take it to the streets, be a real stumping soapbox orator, get that message out far and wide.
ReplyDeletepro-LIFE?
ReplyDeleteForcing a woman to bring a pregnancy to term that will kill her is NOT pro-life. It's pro-fetus. (Even if the fetus is deformed or non-viable. No exceptions)
Marriage?
Hunh? How many hetero-marriages have been annulled since gay people got the right to marry?
Religious Liberty?
You mean - the ability to force YOUR religion upon everyone else. That's not "religious liberty". Religious Liberty means exactly that: EVERYone gets to practice THEIR OWN religion - not yours.
The 2nd Amendment?
Look - stopping terrorists, gang-bangers, criminals, and crazy people from easy access to firearms IN NO WAY eliminates the 2nd Amendment.
I call bullshit on Cruz and every other Republican candidate for every one of these lies as well as their bullshit "flat-tax" nonsense. (Everybody pays 10% is only fair if you believe that the strongest among us shouldn't have to carry any more than the weakest and sickest and oldest.)
And you're right Griff: the death of Fat Tony DID make it real to many people that hadn't realized how real it already was/is.
Get out and VOTE.
YUP. We can encourage our circle of family, friends, co-workers, and social groups to register, ID up, and vote!
DeleteCourage counts, especially now. Just do it.
Encourage those that you know to VOTE the GOTP'ers out; vote local, county, state, and general elections for Democrates.
dowl
I have to agree for Ted Cruz (although I'd never vote for him!) - Trump would be an absolute disaster as the leader of our country. Holy Hell - even Europeans, Asians, Africans, etc. would think Americans were fu-king nuts to elect him!
ReplyDeleteTrump is a vision in his own mind and a wart upon our earth!
Cruz also.
DeleteYes, he would be a disaster.
DeleteBut he wants to appoint his sister to the Supreme Court and she's pretty liberal. That's what burns Ted's cookies.
No doubt that there are many people who are fed up in this country, but put the blame on who owns it -- a Republican-controlled Congress. Just look at the harm that's been done to "we the people" and no one would ever vote for one of them again, yet the blame is on President Obama. Does anyone even know how the branches of our government work? It is so frustrating, especially when you have a complacent media that won't do their damned job in exposing just WTH is going on.
ReplyDeleteIf this democracy is stupid enough to vote in ANY of that "deep bench" clown car, we are doomed.
The shit just got real. Elizabeth Warren said exactly what I was thinking about the people did choose who they wanted to make the next nomination and it was done in 2008 and 2012. The only thing I would add is that if their God didn't Obama making that decision he would have waited to kill Scalia NEXT February. After all, what's one more year when you have all of eternity?
ReplyDeletewould zt.Rump even be able to NAME a) the current 8 SCJ and then list ten potential, viable nominees?
ReplyDeleteHe thinks his sister would make an excellent Supreme Court Justice. And she's pretty liberal. That is what has Cruz' panties in a twist.
DeleteIs it any shock that Trump would be so nepotistic?
If Trump is the Republican nominee the turn-out by Democrats will be Tremendous! It will be so Great, that we will be sick of being so Great. We will Win and we will Win all the time. It's just Tremendous what will happen. It will be YUGE.
ReplyDeleteSome of us have been saying this for a long time regarding the 2016 elections: "It's about the Supreme Court, dummies." And now it really is about the Supreme Court and it could not have come at a better time to drive the point home that the election of one of the Repub Clowns would bring disaster to the US in many ways, including the decisions made by the SCOTUS.
ReplyDeletePay attention, folks. And fasten your seat belts; we're in for a bumpy ride.
I do not doubt that you're right.
DeleteJust in case someone missed the key point of your comment:
Delete"It's about the Supreme Court"
"It's about the Supreme Court"
"It's about the Supreme Court"
"It's about the Supreme Court"
"It's about the Supreme Court"
"It's about the Supreme Court"
"It's about the Supreme Court"
"It's about the Supreme Court"
"It's about the Supreme Court"
"It's about the Supreme Court"
ad infinitum
Cruz is such a liar and no one appreciates his dirty tricks, which have been exposed TWICE now during the debates, first against Carson in Iowa and almost the same thing again in South Carolina against Trump.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get much sleezier than Cruz. He can't win against either Hillary or Bernie.
It is going to be a pleasure watching him slowing crash and burn.
OT TIME LINES:

Perfect Post! GOTV, people. Now Donny wants to sue Cruz over his birth certificate, and he's lambasting exclamation point for dragging former President, warmonger, Halliburton paid, George W Bush and his lovely glassy eyed wife, what's her name, out to stump for Exclamation point.
ReplyDeleteGood Move, Jeb, keep Columba and your wonderful kids in a hidden bunker, and go with the bro.

ReplyDeleteActually electing anyone from the GOP Klown Kar would be the end of the world as we know it or would like to know it. Hearing that from Ted Cruz is the ultimate "pot calling the kettle black" notion.
ReplyDeleteBeaglemom
According to Stephen King electing Cruz would be the equivalent of putting an Evangelical Ayatollah in the White House who puts the bible before our Constitution.
