Carly Fiorina ends her campaign, sources say Chris Christie soon to follow.

Courtesy of  NPR:

Carly Fiorina is exiting the Republican presidential race after a seventh-place showing in last night's New Hampshire primary.

"While I suspend my candidacy today, I will continue to travel this country and fight for those Americans who refuse to settle for the way things are and a status quo that no longer works for them," said Fiorina in a statement.

Well so much for Fiorina "taking on " Hillary Clinton.

Though I have to admit, I would probably have enjoyed seeing that.

And it looks as if Carly might not be the only one getting ready to call it quits.

Courtesy of Politico:

Chris Christie is expected to formally suspend his campaign later on Wednesday, according to a source close to the campaign, after finishing a disappointing sixth in the New Hampshire primary.

The New Jersey governor was expected to spend part of the day reaching out to donors and top supporters to discuss his decision, the source said.

I would not put it past Christie to stay in the race a little longer just to prove the pundits wrong.

But even if Christie stays in the race out of sheer stubbornness, the writing is already on the wall.

In fact it always has been.
I mean were we ever seriously considering the idea of electing this guy?

For me his weight is not an issue. I think he should stay in just to have his views on other Gop candidates, losers. Also debate them so bad. That would be fine by me.

I wonder if she'll pay her staff? She only paid her staff from her Senate run when she decided to run for President. She had never voted, She is just totally fucked in the head.Good riddance. The same with Christie. They are both miserable, vile excuses for human beings. Besides I think Krispie kreme has a world of hurt legally waiting for him in NJ. How many people do you know that have failed lapband surgery? They have hurt so many people with their actions. Fuck them both.

U.S. government posts $55 billion budget surplus in January

The U.S. government posted a $55 billion budget surplus in January, up from an $18 billion deficit in the same month a year ago, the Treasury Department said on Wednesday.

Analysts polled by Reuters had expected a $45 billion surplus for last month. Treasury officials said the surplus was boosted by the highest receipts on record for the month of January.

Receipts last month totaled $314 billion, while outlays stood at $258 billion.

Increased receipts of individual and social insurance taxes contributed to the surplus, a Treasury official said.

Differences in monthly calendar adjustments, including $42 billion in outlays as a result of a benefits payments shift into December 2015, also contributed to the surplus.

Accounting for those adjustments, the January surplus was $15 billion, compared to an adjusted $2 billion surplus in the same month a year ago.

The current fiscal year-to-date deficit stood at $160 billion, compared to a deficit of $194 billion at the same point last year.

That is my favorite photo of Christie. Tiny little "package" large belly. He said he will "throw Obama out of public housing" (meaning the WH) yet doesn't HE live in the governor's mansion? Didn't his wife spend hundreds of thousands renovating it? Also, too, he has a job he is still supposed to be doing no matter how badly he performs it.

Yes to each question. I lived in that area about fifteen years ago, it's proximity to NY drove up the prices of homes so high, my rent shot from eight hundred a month to twelve hundred, just had to leave.
Jackie O had a horsefarm, Mike Tyson beat his wife in their mansion in Bernardsville, a stone's throw away living vibrantly at the time were Whitney Houston in a hooge mansion. Harding, the next town over, has Merryl Streep, and most of the others are from wall street, you get the picture. I ended up renting in an abandoned summer retreat called "Mount Freedom", I rented a cabin in the woods for half what rent cost me all those years ago.
Christie's house is absolutely magnificent by anyone's standards.

Fox News Is Plummeting As Trump Win Tears The Network Apart

Fox News is becoming a network at war with itself as Megyn Kelly and Bill O'Reilly are in a personal feud, and Donald Trump's victory is splitting the network into divided factions.

Fox News Host Goes Straight For The Gut After Christie's Announcement

Now that Fox News is unashamedly in the tank for Donald Trump and Chris Christie has packed his bags and gone home, professional frat boy Greg Gutfeld couldn't wait to get in a zinger.

"He's like the guy who walks into a bar and cold-cocks someone. So that guy's out, but he goes to jail," Gutfeld said.

"The good news for Christie is that he lost big but he also lost being big," he continued. "Because in his bid for the presidency he decided to lose all that weight...He may not be the President, but he'll be skinny."

It takes lack of self-awareness to the truly gifted to dress like Christie does there, let himself be photographed too, knowing the pictures are going to travel around the globe. Even Huckabee seemed to know not to drag his two morbidly obese sons out this round. Here's hoping Christie goes low profile again real soon and goes back to being Jersey's problem.

And Cristie's been on our news (next state over from Jersey, which doesn't have it's own TV stations, The people aren't icing their cupcakes, most of them hate him for not doing his job as governor, before during and after his run.

I am so glad that Carly and Christie have thrown in the towel. Though I believe it's important to still keep an eye on all of the former GOP candidates, as they may be angling for a VP pick from the eventual nominee.

I'm just hoping that come November, the Democrats get the last laugh in every race. Watching the GOP implode is entertaining and funny, but we Dems must be ready to get down to business and continue Pres Obama's great work.
